This whole game is iconic

Nothing like a good campfire with the party

Attached: Final Fantasy VII-190711-213047.png (1440x1080, 855K)

my nigga
the part in cross where you go back in time to lucca's house during the fire is great too

I prefer the one where the shotas rape their mom and she becomes a sex slave to them.

>three of the most iconic moments are entire games

What a retarded list

> Pulling the Master Sword is somehow fucking lower than Bioshock & Halo

>not posting the Frog VS Magus fight to death

Attached: 1543645658740.png (259x345, 70K)

That's a FUCKING CUTSCENE, IT'S NOT VIDYA. FUCK YOU.

most of the game really

getting a full tetris or a tspin
the first screen of Zelda NES including the cave
game over in Missile Command
jumping on the first Goomba in Super Mario Bros
Sinistar
the resonance cascade
the end of Link's Awakening
getting hit with the blueshell
finding the first Rattman room

What would your personal list look like Yea Forums?

Encountering Resurrection Butterfly for the first time in Touhou 7 had a lasting impression on me.
youtube.com/watch?v=PuU9Rxi_vyY

Attached: saigyouji-yuyuko-touhou-hat-dress-butterflies-petals.jpg (2560x1440, 498K)

That time when I was playing Ace Combat 0's mission where you're blowing up the missile silos towards the end where I pulled off this sick ass dive down into it, blew up the shit, and then managed to fly out at high speed and just barely not eat shit.

RDR2's campfires were like one of the best parts of the game too. It's really hard to fuck up a campfire scene.

Attached: red-dead-redemption-2-campfire.jpg (1920x1080, 150K)

I was fucking jumping out of my seat practically screaming at the screen. This game wouldn't crack my top 10 ever, but this moment is in my top 3 best vidya memories.

Just holy fuck dude

Attached: 1512378301431.png (1920x1080, 3.21M)

cave fights on Hyrule Temple
painting a tac nuke with your Ghost
conducting business in Seers Village
fishing in Karamja
casting Burden of Time
backstabbing a Heavy
converting with wololo
picking between Bulbasaur et al
slaughtering immigrants and cats in DF
watching the playback of a hard level in Super Meat Boy

I have been wishing that game to be 100% done and translated so long that I forgot it even existed.

Getting kicked out of the apartment in Facade is definitely something that you need to do.

Attached: You need to go.png (424x455, 21K)

>Pulling the Master Sword in OOT
>MGS4 ending, old man fight.
>Sif + Gwyn in Dark Souls
>Kingdom Hearts 1 ending
>Wind Waker final boss
Thos are the 1st i could think of. Really cool final bosses can increase my opinion on a game drastically

While I'm at it, I'll post the rest of my top 3.
Pic related was absolutely phenomenal. At the end of the chapter before this there's a lot of exposition and plot info finally revealed to you, so you think you have more stuff figured out than stuff still unknown.
Then this scene hits and completely flips the script again. The pacing of this game is absolutely masterful. Top 5 most perfect video games ever made, easily.

Attached: 5-capture_005.png (512x384, 86K)

I still smile and get mild goosebumps during this scene

Attached: GEAE8P-34.png (1748x1080, 666K)

They literally spoiled the ending of RDR in the fucking pictures

really?

Attached: AerithDeath2[1].jpg (640x448, 159K)

The third moment in my top 3.
"Keep going, no matter what. As long as one person believes in you, it's worth it."
The entire story up to this point was a full RPG except in a couple of hours, and still leaves a hell of lasting impression. Especially once you realizes how it ties into the rest of the game.
Everyone needs to play this, it's one of the most soulful, ambitious and surprisingly short and sweet RPGs that's aged better than you'd think and isn't terribly clunky for its age.

Attached: 43-image233.png (512x448, 23K)

Ya

oh my bad I glanced over the list and didn't see it on there somehow

Spoiler warning for all of this if you faggots didn't know

Aeris death
Sans Undertale is the final boss
Aghanim is Ganon
Zelda sends Link back to the past
Kefka final boss
Mario's Princess in another castle
Autumn theme in SMW
Going behind the white platform in SMB3
Big Baby Bowser in Yoshi's Island
Cave Story Hell
Pankraz's death in Dragon Quest V
Getting turned into stone in Dragon Quest V
Making the moon in Katamari Damacy
Realizing how fucking insane God Hand is
Everyone fucking dies in Chapter 5 of Fire Emblem 4
Going into Mario's ballsack in Super Mario Land 2
Suplexing a meteor in The Legendary Starfy
Realizing how huge BOTW is
The start of route C in Nier Automata

it still amazes me how anyone could've paid full price for something that makes your eyes bleed

Ok I missed 1
uhhhh Galuf's death

>DS1
Either the Ash lake or walking through that final fog wall into the kiln and seeing a withered husk that has all but just fled himself. All for a meaningless delay of the inevitable age of darkness. He isn't even a challenge, just a broken man.
>Pokemon Silver/gold/crystal
Coming face to face with the legendary trainer himself upon mt silver.
>Halo Reach
Objective: Survive
>OFF
Seeing the character from the opposing perspective.

As far as gameplay-wise that is all that comes to mind really. I have a hard time counting cutscenes are iconic moments since you have 0 interactivity and are just shown a story set piece while losing control of the character. an example would be Link pulling out the master sword in OoT or that really kino moment where the ark is destroying itself and John rises up to eclipse it and see Cortona.

Based OP

getting hooked by Pudge
playing a duet in a BigBand mirror match
making progress for a second in QWOP
making a full combined arms charge in Mount and Blade Napoleon
finishing a new science pack automation
being hacked in EYE
starting a world war to improve map border aesthetics
lighting a bonfire
making a death roller coaster
finding the slide in Peach's castle
seeing Samus overdose on phazon in the reflection of the visor

Aeris death

Halo 3 Warthog Run
GSC Red battle
Link's Awakening ending
Paula's Prayer

One of the best moments in Zelda history. It's just crazy to me that they had an idea as good as the Dark World. I personally prefer ALBW as a game but the aesthetics of the dark world in ALttP beat it out by a long shot. The sun in the sky, the pyramid, the immediate assault with enemies more difficult than any you've seen before, the swamps, it's all just so fucking good. It is insane to me that they had an idea not only so good but so ambitious on a console as early as the snes. If Nintendo doesn't bring this game to nintendo online I will be pissed

Attached: dark world.png (795x696, 372K)

the end of Mario Odyssey where you play as Bowser
when you stop planning a Hotline Miami level and go full psycho
under sniper fire in DayZ
Naydra fight in Breath of the Wild
going for a full simultaneous down of all opposite faction leaders in WoW
reaper leviathan encounter
getting the gravity gun

Out of all those I've posted, I'd say the top five are
Getting a tetris (Tetris)
Cursed Naydra (Breath of the Wild)
Casting Burden of Time (Dominions 5)
The first screen and cave (The Legend of Zelda)
Combined arms charge (Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Wars)
The GOAT is, memes aside, unironically losing in Dwarf Fortress

Fucking this omg. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it back in 01.

Is this a ghost trick reference? I'm playing the game now and I think I got it spoiled for me by a image common enough in filename threads. It's great so far but I wish I went in entirely blank.

I might have been naive at the time. But realizing that Colette was to be sacrificed in Tales of Symphonia. And then travelling to a parallel world. That was pretty fucking insane.

I forget exactly how it plays out, because it's been such a long time. But I remember it being a big deal.

Everybody talking about Aeris, nobody talking about Alys badass hunter, main protagonist dying in the end of the first act of Phantasy Star IV. Y'all some bustas

Is Half-Life 2 worth playing if i only care about Story, music & characters?

those are basically the main draws of the game actually

youtube.com/watch?v=G9jZ8Spe86M

I'm glad that, even after all these years, I still get blown away by video games.

What’s this?

you broke out in a cold sweat the first time this happened, don't lie

Attached: file.png (395x406, 260K)

>doesn't care about gameplay
Half Life 2's story isn't as good as the original but it is still better than 99.9% percent of games. The music is good with some great standout tracks. Characters are well written with animation and modelling that is still impressive 15 years later.
The game's faults are predominantly pacing and structural.

the most iconic game scene of the FPS genre that ultimatively influenced the entire genre:
