Burnout Racing games

Are there any good racing games like the Burnout series, but current gen (ps4) and have splitscreen? I really miss these games.

Also, which was the best burnout game?

which was the best burnout game?

you already posted it

That's the one I played the most of but only Paradise got a remaster, didn't it?

yea they remaster a game nobody wanted

Paradise killed the franchise, faggot

Well is there any good non-burnout racing game for modern consoles that is splitscreen?

burnout 3>burnout revenge>burnout dominator>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>burnout paradise

How were the updates to dangerous driving?

They're all shit.
Flatout rocks.

>it's another Burnout Paradise is the worst thing ever because the Yea Forums meme says so episode
Look, I may agree that 3 is still a far better game, but as someone who's been with the franchise since 2003, let's not pretend people didn't enjoy it when it came out, I vividly remember seeing a ton of people online for a good number of years before it died out due to the game's later dead support. People only truly lost hope in the franchise with Burnout Crash.

What do these fags have against Paradise anyway? It doesn't hold a candle to 3, but even then, it's still worth playing. The remaster was a fucking joke though

paradise is fun for about an hour

fucking normies kept buying open world racing games

I wish there was one that was actually good.

I wish one had VR.

No fucking open world car game has VR. Fucking anus.

That would be an ideal use for VR

This, are there any good flatout games games on PS3, other then that ps2 one they made the xbox 360 version from. I love smashing stuff and having it calculate the damage cost.

I think the first two were the best. I guess Wreckfest is getting to the state where it might be considered a successor but it blew all it's hype being a dud for years.

based

The Need For Speed Hot Pursuit remake had "takedown" elements and it was a fun game to play online, especially if you got a nemesis who kept evading your attempts as a cop to bust them.

No, there is nothing quite like Burnout. Nothing has the sense of speed, control and destruction in these games. Dangerous Driving was made by ex-criterion devs and does have some of that feel, but it's janky as fuck and has no music.
The ridge racer series does handle turns in a loose, fluid manner like burnout, but it's plenty different as well.

Why did Burnout die?
I thought Paradise did well in terms of reviews and sales

Also what happened to that game Criterion teases years ago with driving/skydiving/wing suits/helicopters etc

You all missed out on Motorhead by Dice. Nothing outside the arcade was this smooth and had such a feeling of speed in 1998.
