Not even the ragdoll, just physics in general, games used to be so static, seeing the cars reacting to getting shot was great.

Oh I loved throwing various things in the ocean on highway and see how it will look like in the game.
It became really fun when I found out the console commands that lets me mess around with the buoyancy, gravity and friction. Good stuff.
