This expansion was amazing but I'm feeling pretty down now that I've finished it, I feel like compared to something like WoW Classic once you do the story you run out of things to do unless you self-motivate yourself to do random stuff like grind old daily factions or collect relic weapons. And while self-motivation and self-created goals is a good thing in MMO's in FFXIV it feels pretty lonely

I'd like to try out Eureka as I stopped playing Stormblood before it but I've heard it's completely dead now and there's practically 0 chance of getting to do the dungeon at the end now.

Am I missing something or is just enjoying each patch in the content cycle then playing something else the way to go?

Do I have to run it regularly before it unlocks as a Trust? Or is just like a Story Mode run like SWTOR has?

All the MSQ dungeons unlock as trusts after completing them, either with the NPCs or a real party. However, everyone in the trust system (ie: The Scions) start at level 71 and get a fixed amount of exp for completing a dungeon with them. You have to basically farm Holminster Switch until they level up enough to do Dohn Mheg, and so on and so far. It's kind bullshit how much exp they require, and only active party members get it.

Trusts unlock as soon as you unlock the dungeon. They're literally standing around the entrance with big icons over the heads, I don't know how people miss them. After you beat the dungeon once you can use the Duty menu to re-run it with Trusts. They're at the appropriate level for the dungeons until you clear the final one, which resets them to level 71. From there it takes about 6-7 runs to get them leveled up for the next dungeon.

Always has, yes. You should limit break as soon as it's available, as long as its usage doesn't screw you out of job resources or the boss is doing some mechanic that will kill you if you're animation locked to the lb.

Not terribly, you have an EXP boost up to your highest-level job on any jobs lower than it. At your level you'll be doing the daily roulettes and normal overworld enemies until you're high enough to start dungeon grinding, though.

SS is actually shit for damage on every job that isn't SAM and still worse than DH/high crit (in later tiers with higher item level or better crit+DH itemization), it's just that you need to hit specific tiers for each job to get a magic number that lets your rotation line up perfectly. For Monk it's 1267, for SAM it's 1737, for DRK/WAR it varies depending on your ping but you need enough that you get 5 GCDs in Delirium/IR.

The problem with whm is they are designed around encounters that dont exist. If a whm is forced to stop and actually heal then their damage would be roughly similar to scholar because there damage is balanced around having windows where they have to stop dealing damage so when they are doing damage it needs to be higher to make up for that downtime. But right now scholar is solo healing everything with ogcds while whm never stops dpsing at all so they are doing 8k. They promised that healing would be way more intensive instead it's currently a bigger joke than ever.
