The series shit the bed and turned to garbage after, well, I'd argue after hueco mundo in general, but ESPECIALLY after fake karakura town when the whole fullbringer shit started up. Which is why most content after that point tended to dry up. Fans lost interest, games had nowhere to really go after the god tier games like soul carnival 2 and heat the soul 6.

Heat the Soul and other games were jp only. Fewer regions means fewer sales. Fewer game sales means less money to be gained. Less money leads to execs and producers not giving a shit.
It's a vicious cycle.

The games were not, in any way shape or form, responsible for the series' decline. They were never localized cause bleach was never popular anywhere but japan. The only reason it was even in the "big 3" was because it took FMA's spot in a time when there were almost 0 new manga or anime coming out.

The whole Rescue Bakugo arc is basically the peak of the series so far.
The Yakuza/Intern arc is fine too, and I liked the Gentle mini-arc after that, but the stuff immediately after got kinda stupid. There's an arc focusing on the League of Villains that's currently going on and it's okay so far

MHA could have had lots of DLC and development, and NamBan is greedy, but besides DBFZ there are also titles like Xenoverse 2 which is still getting major content and the Attack on Titan 2 game just got an expansion pack which goes literally to and PAST the 3rd season which just ended. The game itself tells the story, adds a lot of side content, and plays well online coOp or not! That's the kind of support these games should get.

I picked this series up and stayed for maybe...13 episodes, until I got REALLY sick from the hot-blooded rival who is an absolute cunt to everyone because he thinks he's good. I dropped it because I hate everything about his character and the fact that he's clearly given a lot of focus and screen time.

Does he stay relevant in the series, or does the author do the smart thing and cripple him and throw him out of the camera eye for good? That's my dealbreaker.

Bakugo stays relevent because the author makes Deku job to other characters so they can have character development like Shoto and Bakugo. He stays a nigger and will always be a nigger from the looks of it.
It made me drop the series until just recently because I heard it was focusing on the villains alliance, the best characters in the series.

Bakugo stays relevant for a long time, and remains an absolute cunt to everyone. The closest his attitude ever comes to blowing up in his face is failing the rescue portion of the provisional hero license exam, forcing him to take remedial lessons offscreen. He's still a cunt afterwards anyway.

No one ever complains about him in anything more than a vaguely passive aggressive manner, they usually just fellate him for being a natural genius who's super strong and skilled.

This, pretty much. He's still a fuck but it takes a long time for their relationship to evolve. For what it's worth you at least get to see his motivation and how he feels along with the MC, which brings some emotional depth. His being a dick all the time is tiresome but they avoid some of the typical Rival tropes, but the Rival story is a big deal in Japan overall ( ie if little boys have rivals they aren't considered just bullies but instead motivation to excel)

MHA overall can do well with character development if they give it the time. Even some characters like AllMight himself seem like easy tropes at first glance but then have a huge difference / depth ( ie his true form, his history, his reason for doing things)

the manga getting canned was part of it but the anime was tanking ultra hard. People were just not watching bleach because bleach fucking sucked starting with the timeskip. The new characters weren't fun or interesting, they were just literal rehashes of existing ones. It was like a callback to SS arc but worse in every way, including "ichigo has no powers for half of this arc teehee" garbage.

The quincy arc was a mess, technically speaking. So much exposition just got wiped off the face of the earth and almost 2/3 of the quincy got introduced and then killed within a few pages. Then they were invincible, then they weren't. Then yhwach was god, then he wasn't. Then the monk was god, then he wasn't. Then yhwach was god again, and ichigo showed up and killed him in 6 chapters.
