Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) worth buying yet?

The multiplayer has improved somewhat but at this point the only people left playing have been playing since launch, so they're going to stomp into oblivion regardless of how good you're performing. They get dark matter rocket launchers that give them 200% extra health and you get a water pistol. And don't even try to play the heroes vs villains mode, it's even worse.
The single player is just shit, don't even bother with it.

I've noticed that the Assault gametype is almost unplayable by the end of the match as for some reason they decided to let like 5 players per team play as heroes

Star cards are pretty bullshit too, super grindy to get ahead

It does not capture the pure unadulterated chaos that the OG battlefront 2 had, but its does a good enough job. My only complaints as of now is that its only 20v20 at most but the maps are sized correctly so its not too much of a problem. My other complaint is that you will have a tough time being a normal trooper on the front line because you will always be out gunned by everyone using the special classes and heros, by mid game 70% of your deaths are from heros and the rest are from some chuckle fuck flying around shooting rockets at you. Also most of the players are so brain dead and lack situational awareness where it feels like you are legit playing with bots.

The game on PC feels kind of dead, 30% of my time in the game is spent waiting to find a game. I dont know how region locked the match making is but the I can only really get into decent matches during prime time.

I had to drop it because the multiplayer when they "re-supported" it with broken multiplayer. If you managed to get into a server to begin with then you get to play a game where everyone plays like they have 300 ping.

It's the most graphically impressive game available right now desu

I had some fun in this game but the last time I played it, you got battle points way too fast, there was no limit on heroes, and every alleged Galactic Assault game turned into a Heroes vs Villains clusterfuck just a few minutes in.

This has been my experience so far.

Its not so much that you earn battle points to fast as it is allowing like 10 fucking heroes on the battlefield at once.

It also triggers me how certain heroes aren't period locked. Like why is Finn here shooting up battle droids?

Nah they dont have era specific playlists. Hoping they add private servers soon because Clone Wars seems to be the most fleshed out. I hate this games as a service shit.
