Peak blizzard is LoD. Huge downfall afterward.

Nelf campaign was really bad and short.
And god Tyrande/Malfurion are unsuffurable.
TFT gave me blue balls by bringing them back at the middle of the nelf campaign.

I need to adjust my list, but this is what I have currently for my top 5.

Warcraft 3
Master of Magic
Actraiser
Civilization II
Europa Universalis III

#1 and #2 I'm fairly happy with in their positon, but if wc3 didn't exist, broodwar would seem so much better, it's further down only because the exceptional parts(ums) of broodwar are overshadowed by wc3s ums. So maybe if I could judge them more accurately for myself it would be wc3>broodwar>MoM.
Actraiser is too heavily influenced by nostalgia, though the game is good I overrate it at the moment, the idea of the game is better than the game itself.
Civ2 is solid and might not need to be moved.

The vanilla login screen theme is better. But the reign of chaos soundtrack is better still.

And then there's the undead/legion are invading at the end of the first mission. Tyrande realizes that Orc and Humans are fighting the same enemies, even Malfurion asks her why they don't talk with them, but she doesn't give a fuck until Malfurion has a dream and Jaina/Thrall come to see them.
And let's not even talk about when she kills her "sisters" with no warning to free Illidan, just to banish him 2 hours later.
She's so fucking dumb, that WoW makes sense the way nelves are giant retards who can't even defend themselves.
