Is dis game worth 60 bucks? I am seriously considering to buy it. I only put 250h into DS3 but I heard it's nothing like it?!?
Is dis game worth 60 bucks? I am seriously considering to buy it...
Not worth it with the lack of online and only having 1 weapon.
Get it at 50% off, it's still a great souls-like.
Nah, maybe about $20. It's very short, it's very basic, repetitive and shallow. It's just meh.
It's a great action game, I bought it on the launch and did 3 playthroughs already. Don't expect the MP stuff.
>souls-like.
No since it doesn't seem like it's getting DLC. I bought it and it was good but eh, just pirate.
Though you can't mod it if you pirate it I don't think, unless that was changed.
It has similar gameplay elements but the combat will kick your ass for the first few hours. It's solid for 2-3 playthroughs. If you're unsure, rent it if you can.
It's a tech demo to show off their new combat system. The combat itself is great, everything else fucking sucks.
The game is great, but pretty short with not much to do after beating it. It’s a good $20 buy
it's nothing like dark souls 3 and has little replayability, assuming your a pussy bitch who's only into the games for the online. it's a solid single player experience.
At this point you're better off waiting for a sale or something.
It has zero replayability so not really unless you just want a good 25 hours game.
>Zero replayability
Shura ending gives you an entirely different final boss.
>buying a souls game that lacks multiplayer
best combat ive ever played, that alone is worth the $60
It's the only good video game.
Issun is the final boss in all endings dumb fuck
>playing souls multiplayer
>Still a completely different fight
>Can't even spell the name right
It was fun, for sure worth at least 40. if your someone who has played all the soulshit/bloodborne shit and are looking for more of that, it's different but I still found it fun. I put it under bloodborne in terms of fun I had.
half the fun is harassing noobs as a dickass invader, my friend.
Pirate it, beat it once and then buy it from some key site for like 40 bucks. That's what I did and I don't regret it. Got 4 playthroughs out of it.
How's the replayability? You don't actually get to make different builds with stats, right? So does that mean the only variation is what weapon you choose to main?
>what weapon you choose to main
There's only one weapon in the entire game. There's really no reason to play it more than twice if you're looking for variety.
I just enjoyed fighting the bosses (a lot, they're the best in the series imo) and finding ways to beat the game faster. You can also unlock some sort of "hard mode" after beating the game once which makes you take damage for not parrying correctly.
If the combat isn't your thing you're not going to want to play it again.
I see, that's unfortunate. Everything I've heard about the game now (lack of multiplayer, lack of builds/stats, lack of weapon variety) really disappoints me. I wonder why they went with this design instead of having these typical souls hallmarks.
How's the level/world design? Is it choose-your-path like Demons Souls, a straight line like Dark Souls 3, or metroid-style like Dark Souls 1?
Reeeeee how do I beat the blazing bull
>I wonder why they went this way
Because it was originally meant to be a Tenchu game, but then they decided against it and made it some kind of halfway point between it and Souls.
Stay on him, hug his ass, try and trap him in a corner, Deflect his swipes and charge, pray to whatever gods may be listening and keep slashing.
As a long time DS player, the combat is very different from anything in DS. It's fun in it's own right, and definitely worth it if you want challenge.
press the parry button
>takes me over 30 tries to beat sword saint
>finally do it
>assume there's nothing this game can throw at me anymore
>try fighting Demon of Hatred
>get stomped
>lose patience
>uninstall
It was fun though.
It's a great game, just pirate it and have fun. There's only one weapon because they wanted to make good boss fights that comliment a good combat system, unlike the rest of the series.
>How's the level/world design? Is it choose-your-path like Demons Souls, a straight line like Dark Souls 3, or metroid-style like Dark Souls 1?
It's good, kind of like DS1 but way bigger. It lacks the variety but makes up for it by being... I dunno what the word is. In any case it's good.
>buy it from some key site for like 40 bucks
Why? You're not supporting the developers, so I don't see why you would do this after pirating it.
Well at least that's some good news. Thanks, I'll try it out.
>rent it if you can
Are we living in the early 00's again?
no
>so much replayability
>play the entire exact same game again the exact same way for one different end boss
Literally sprint to the right and spam the finger whistle in 3rd form to delete him easy.
>Ugh it's not yet another Dark Souls clone so it's shit! SHIT!
Don't listen to Yea Forums.
I really enjoyed the game. I'd say it's absolutely worth it. One of the few games to come out in the last 5 years that I'd consider genuinely fun.
I don't know how to begin First of all I am playing this game because I shelled out $60 and is was From Software. I have played all their games since Demon Souls. This new game, Sekiro, is so ridiculous. The deflect does NOT work on PS4. Every time I try I get killed. The merchants are always sold out. Stingy much? I can't talk to a merchant or npc because I get killed. Sometimes when I used the death blow, I get attacked by another enemy. The mini bosses are boring, and a repeat of the mini boss that came before it. I have to die 100 times to learn a cheese, or master AI. I have to go on the internet, which never happened in the souls or Bloodbourne series. My husband has to kill all my bosses. This game is sexist, and not meant for women or people with physical disabilities to play. I am not an 18 year old boy with incredible reflexes. The Owl boss is way to long. In other words this game is NOT fun. Too many overpowered bosses, to little healing wares. The world is fun to explore, but I dread the boss fights. I don't feel confident going in to them. I always enjoyed the bosses in the souls game. They were at least fair. This game is a step backwards for From and I am totally disappointed. From needs to rethink this game and its difficulty. They are going to lose their loyal fan base. I am really upset because I was looking forward to another From game. I am telling all my friends to stay away from this one. I am rating it a O Please pass this along to someone who will be concerned about the people who buy their games. We al want a DS4 game.
>The deflect does NOT work on PS4. Every time I try I get killed.
fuck miyazaki. pirate the shit out of it.
This. If ripping off Berserk wasn't bad enough, Sekiro does everything possible to rip off Tenchu this time. That lawsuit can't come soon enough.
They own the Tenchu IP.
It is quite different than soulsborne games but well worth it. I have about 80 hours into it already and plan to keep doing NG+ and challenge runs. Sekiro also has one of the most satisfying bosses in a game I've ever played, Sword Saint Isshin.
That being said if you are wanting a game with a ton of variety, Sekiro isn't it.
