Israeli Air force's sorties were organized in such a way that there was little to no time they weren't in the air. They targeted the Egyptian airfields and landing strips, disabling them first, then immediately after bombing their grounded fighter jets. With air superiority the ground war was easier, but not easy for the Israelis. What it came down to both with 67 and 73 (when they were really caught with their pants down) was the relative quickness with which the Arabs routed if they felt their losses were too great. The Arabs were supposedly fighting for pan arabism, and if you know arabs at all, they don't give a shit about that. If it was a religious war, who knows what would have happened in 73.

Squads rally point system has very few restrictions, cooldown and lasts forever. Projet Realitys RP system is VERY restricted and dissapears after 90 seconds. This leads to Project Reality being much more teamplay oriented and you have to rely on your team mates and logistics to get ahead in battle.

Let's be honest here, the real reason is UE4. It made development slow as fuck and caused all of the weird view distance problems that the game has (that they refuse to fix by adding a simple FOV zoom for some reason). Squad has like 5% the content that PR had because of how much easier it is to develop for whatever engine Battlefield 2 used than it is for UE4. It also isn't helping that the Squad devs are sucking the toes of competitive players instead of leaning the game more towards realism and immersion.
