those are great controllers

Thanks, but i prefer this.
Anything else 8bitdo ever made has the potential to have hardware issues.
But this neat little thing right here?
This shit is tighter than your sister fresh out of the shower.
Fucking love the M30.

I have the old SN30 Pro and I have to say, it's surprisingly comfy despite me being used to the handles on a DualShock. You add those and it's the perfect controller.
Shame the wireless version can't be used wired on the Switch. Sure, you can suck up power from the USB ports but it's bluetooth only which is bizarre. That's the other thing keeping it from being perfect. They better fix that with the Plus version.

Okay
>dominates you with weird controllers

8bitdo is finally getting off their asses and releasing it? It was supposed to be out last December.

On the switch all of these actually give you an advantage over nintendo's mainline controller.
Well, aside from smash, you still want to use a GC controller for smash.

>you still want to use a GC controller for smash
gc controllers are great but I hate this meme

It's not a meme.
I literally didn't grow up on GC, used to play smash using various different controllers, picked up a GC controller to play smash and INSTANTLY everything felt better.
The GC controller isn't perfect, but it's 100% spot on for smash.
It feels perfect specifically for smash and you'll play much more naturally using it, this is an objective truth, from someone that is devoid of any nostalgia towards it.

those are shit controllers.
a cheap logitech f310 is better than that crap.

I still think you can do just as well with any other controller. Well, except for the Joy-Cons and the Wiimote, those aren't real controllers.

no thanks already got one

The annoying thing is that the controller doesn’t boot the switch. Still gotta use your own controller and then resend to use the 8bit do

>button remapping
>deadzone adjustment for sticks and triggers
>can invert X and Y axis on each stick
>can swap the sticks and triggers so they register as the opposite side
>rumble intensity adjustment
>macro support

Fucking based.

100% false, gamecube controllers blow. And it even has less buttons. No reason ever to use it unless you have a nostalgia boner or have small hands

Wait is it out now?

I just push on the on/off button once on the switch itself while docked.

How are the Dpad on these? The one on the Switch Pro is ass.

Early August, but you can finally preorder after their long delays.
Hopefully the extra time allowed them to actually made it good and not have the same issues as their earlier SNES controller clones.

They share the same fundamental issue the Switch Pro d-pad has due to how they're built underneath (aka, misread input when quickly going right-left-right-left or up-down-up-down), but the position, shape and quality of the d-pad are much, much better.
Most 8bitdo controllers have this d-pad issue, aside from , wich works fundamentally differently and the d-pad is goddamn perfect.

>it's finally out
took long enough, I thought they would release alongside mario maker 2
sn30 pros with diagonal start and select buttons have a crappy dpad that is oversensitive and needs to be opened and fixed. ones with horizontal start and select have a great dpad

>ones with horizontal start and select have a great dpad
No, they have the same problem.

They all have the SAME problem because the core design is the same as the Switch Pro, undearneath.
This is the issue.
Right here.
It can be easily fixed by simply gluing a small piece of plastic in the middle, but i'm just saying, this is why.

Attached: switch-pro-02.jpg (640x546, 209K)

I've bought both models and the later revision does have a fixed dpad

I bought just the more recent one, and it's absolutely not fixed.

works on my machine I guess, I think the dpad is great

So when's the M30 Pro Plus with some analog sticks and handles coming out.

youtube.com/watch?v=0BjSVwHB2kw
I guess you got the one good unit.

Play a few rounds of Tetris and see if you still think it's great.

From what I've seen the dpads have been improved, but not outright fixed. I can't say myself as I only have the older models.

Here's your controller, bro

Attached: dragon-quest-controller-switch.jpg (600x600, 82K)

>These literal, absolute, honest to fucking christ shills who talk about how incredible these controllers are but can only ever seem to post the stock images

I bought one of your pieces of shit and had to exchange it like four times before I gave up and returned it, you fucking chink cocksuckers

8shitdo threads should be a permanent IP ban immediately

I've used it for well over 100 hours of romhacks and emulation. I find it perfectly fine

Am I the only one who prefers the small L/R buttons Sony controllers have? Nintendo controllers always have these giant L/R buttons

Its not like you can tell how it feels through a picture, you fucking dipshit. Who cares.

Attached: 15632278724086375862992579809447.jpg (2160x2160, 1.68M)

You some kind of Instagram faggot, taking photos of every damn thing just to show people online? Do you need to also see a receipt and proof of purchase? Should we have registered our product online after getting it?
I agree, all of their Nintendo line sucks. their one good one is the Genesis controller. If only it had a wired option I'd be using that thing for fighting games all the time.

>analog triggers

I won't lie I'm tempted. I love this controller and have been waiting for a proper follow-up for years.

Attached: B002TLTBN0.01.lg.jpg (878x550, 112K)

>logitech f310
God that controller made me so angry. At one point in my life I had multiple people tell me "dude just get that one for PC lmao it's great" and it felt like absolute ass, the worst controller I have used and a lesson in "never buy anything other than Sony/Nintendo/MS first party controllers even for PC gaming".

I mean sure it looks fine and it has all the required buttons but the shape is awkward to hold, the buttons and shoulders feel cheap and bad and the d-pad is the most creaky and imprecise feeling piece of shit ever. I would give it maybe 5/10 for 3D only but if used for emulation/2D stuff then it's 2/10.

Attached: 1286323281568.jpg (640x480, 52K)

They give a cost?
What's the durability like?

How does it compare to first party stuff.
Looking for a PC controller and so far I'm thinking of an XBone one for ease of use.

It's $50.

WHERE IS IT?!

>dpad issues
so close to being perfect

This is just a SN30 Pro with modern controller aesthetics.

I might get this honestly
seems like a very good all around controller like a healthy mix of Sony and Nintendo controllers and unlike a lot of people I actually symmetrical sticks
Do 8bitdo controllers typically have a good battery life?

have yet to charge my sn30 pro, have had it for over two months.

Daily reminder to avoid Chinese Pig Trash from 8bitdo and instead buy the superior Hong Kong Mayflash adapter.

I have the ps2 metal slime one, kinda want this one too

Xbone isn't just ease of use, it is easily the best controller available. It just has the unfortunate fate of being for a bad console

HEY, I just got one of these in the mail today. The wired, edition like pic related. I've been reading people complaining about the diagonals on Yea Forums a lot lately so I was worried but in my short one hour~ test, it feels absolutely fine to me. Unsure as to whether or not this is a change that was made to this particular controller because I understand it is newer but I have tested it in a few games and it works just fine. Maybe I'll have issues after extended use.

Games tested with:
>Super Metroid
>AM2R
>Contra III

Attached: snes.jpg (466x466, 17K)

>aesthetics
I mean... the handles do make it look different but it also changes how the controller feels. It's more of a practical upgrade than a visual one.

Would this one work comfortably for platformers such as Mario Maker? Seems like the way the buttons are angled would make it difficult to hold Y to run

It sucks that the updated versions don't come in the Super Famicom colors, only the original.

>buy sn30 pro
>buy the dongle to connect other controllers to the switch
>Wii U pro controller isn't collecting dust anymore
>Mario maker 2 with my snes controller
>Buying the switch pro ever

Does this just werk on the Switch or do I need an adapter?

Maybe a dumb question but

Would this controller be good for Smash

Probably, smash fags will tell you otherwise though.

this controller is based though, and has a better dpad than the switch pro controller

>not just getting a based raphnet adapter

Attached: 1516579954621.png (371x372, 65K)

I don't see why not. I play on GameCube controller but I'll probably try it out anyway just to see how it feels. It's kind of small though so if I had to guess, it may be a little tough to consistently hit the shoulder buttons for shielding.

>AM2R
I will literally fucking find you and kill you you worthless fucking piece of human shit

This was a very worthwhile addition to my wii classic controller pros

What did AM2R do to you?

Fangames are for scum

I haven't really played through it but for an initial impression it seems okay. Kind of cheesy but fine.

AM2R has more soul than anything Metroid related Nintendo has done in a decade.

So buy the foficial remake your porrfag piece of fuckign trash

Holy autism

Go away Miyamoto

I did.

AM2R literally asks you to buy Samus Returns to support Metroid.

You aren't even trying.

>buy SNES to Gamecube adapter
>mfw playing Mega Man 9 on Switch with an SNES controller

Attached: rpob.png (300x417, 130K)

I got one of these the other day. Last night, I was playing Mario Maker 2 and it randomly disconnected and now it won't reconnect. I'm pretty pissed.

Attached: 1560991705031.jpg (399x373, 14K)

have you updated the firmware

Who the fuck puts firmware on a gotdamn controller

Didn't even know I could. Hope that fixes it.

Attached: 1561616437947.jpg (1024x640, 49K)

Is the dpad on these clicky like the PS VITA's?

Attached: 1533633462757.png (905x813, 31K)

Die

Unfortunately, no. Us clickybros are the outliers

Attached: 1464501684930.jpg (633x758, 35K)

nintendo
Microsoft

read the fucking instruction manual next time.

Watch your FUCKING language.

I got an SN30 Pro to play shit on my phone, but the joystick inputs always lag on bluetooth with Android. Kind of sucks that only the D-Pad is usable on my primary reason for getting it.

can I use this on PS4? looks perfect for fighting games

Yes.

Just get a Hori fighting commander

You can't go wrong with this handy dandy thing.

Attached: ySaFhwl.jpg (4032x3024, 2.79M)

Looks like a worse M30

Yea Forums is bluetooth good these days now?
