Favorite Unit

What is your favorite unit from any strategy game?

For me it's the Order Spearman from Medieval total war 2: Kingdoms.
I call him the genocidal Slav killer because I can't keep track how many thousands of Lithuanians, Poles and Russians have been impaled on his spear.

Dwarf rifleman in warcraft 3.

Chrono legionnaire.

That's racist

Bow warrior monks from shogun 2, If youve played the game you know why.

Because of their range and ability to kite enemies?

For me it's the Polish Nobles from Medieval total war 2
I call him the genocidal Nordcuck killer because I can't keep track how many thousands of Germans and Danes have been impaled on their javelins

Gothic knights are both sexy and deadly. So they’re probably my favorite unit from that game. Although using serpentines or culverins against people without gunpowder is the most fun I’ve had in the game.

I'LL BUILD ANYWHERE

The Aventuros. Those glorious bastards have carved massive empires that stretch to the 4 corners of the map.

Angery Polack detected.

Gothic knights are severly underpowered. They are fine in Stainless Steel 6.4 but broken in vanilla either due to shitty stats (mounted) and the two handed glitch (dismounted)

Attacking from a distance like a coward.

For me it's the Polish Knights from Medieval Total War 2.
I call them the genocidal Kraut killers because I can't keep track of how many thousands of
>Holy
>Roman
>Empire
shitters have been trampled beneath their horses.

But Polish Knights are a very generic unit, user.

>2nd best cavalary next to Egypt Cataphracts
>generic
Germany population used to be generic.
Luckily mutti Merkel has changed that.

It's just heavy cavalry with very similar stats to all the other heavy cav. And why do you sound so angry?

Maybe, but it has a special place in my heart.
My head hurts.

For me it's the Greek Fire Thrower from Medieval Total War 2: Kingdoms.
I call him the Gyros shop owner because I can't keep track how many Turks and Venetians have been burned by his flamethrower.

This triggers the historian

Fuck /his/ desu

I am delighted to see so many units from medieval II

That's Medieval Total War 2 baby!

The newer games really lost the magic

Their Alien game was better than any TW they made after Med. 2

Happens when you change crew

Heh, tell me about it...

The Varangian Guard

For me, it is *any_cavalry_that_is_able_to_do_a_charge_attack* from Medieval 2: Total War. Because AI is way too dumb to do anything to them.
