I'll start with an easy one:
Post your favorite game, everyone else shit on it
Yea Forums is still seething
Come at me nerds
That a natural state of Yea Forums
What's the point of dedicating a thread to seething Yea Forums
SMW
Hard mode:Dont compare it to SMB3
Honorable mentions: Dark Souls, Wonderful 101, Monster Hunter World
10. Xenoblade Chronicles
9. Persona 5
8. Demon's Souls
7. Devil May Cry 5
6. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
5. Sekiro
4. MGSV:TPP
3. Dragon's Crown
2. Rain World
1. ICO
20 fucking years and still seething I see.
Majora's Mask is still great though, fucking retards who think they can only like one of the N64 Zeldas for some reason.
Space Station 13.
not my favorite but i liked it a lot
too much of a collectathon and zero's missions suck
Needed better overworld design, a whole lot of nothing, doesn't mean epic or good. Have to constantly use the pause menu to switch between items. Some dungeons are insultingly. short.
a lot of walking, combat boils down to just button mashing.
>fast travel on notbonfires from the start
>useless fucking pistols/magic
>everything attacks fast as fuck and does combo even when you are not even close anymore
>bells shit, dead multiplayer
>3 combos+grab bosses, what a joy
>broken hitboxes on grabs that can one shot you
>all those weeb games
what went wrong
I already heard 'em before, but sure why not.
He's still seething.
The Nightmare Frontier, and Forbidden woods are the worst areas in the game and a lot of the areas are samey, the game is too dark in a shit ton of places, and the fact that the game doesn't have an option for you to respec while giving you loads of cool weapons to choose from forces you to make new characters is an actual flaw when in ds3 you could respec and make new builds
Haha us sseth greytiders amirite? xd
I only played from 2011-2017, was that video really that bad for communities?
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is a masterpiece and no one will ever change my mind. It's top 5 for sure. #1 is probably a link to the past, but that game is flawless so not even fun to shit on.
Yeah, it was (Oney+Mandalore)*100 levels of retarded.
100% needed better boss and dungeon design. All the fucking ganons are just robots with an elemental twist with final ganon just being a spider robot. There was no unique theme between them and the divine beasts as well. They had the same aesthetic and it's sad to see because Zelda is known for it's wildly different dungeons and in game culture associated with them, look like MM, OOT, TP and even SS has amazing looking dungeons and bosses that we're all totally unique from each other and no one calls botw out on this.
Ugly artstyle, remixing the same theme for most of the songs also gets tiresome. You can easily access the "Top Secret Area" in world 2 and trivialise the rest of the game.
That's all I've got, World is still a fantastic game.
Excellent taste
Nothing about OOT's dungeons are unique. The game is 99% ALTTP but in 3D.
>Having JRPGs, The Phantom Pain, and a sexy-but-montonous spiritual successor to Capcom's D&D games above Wonderful 101
W101 at the VERY least deserves to be shoulder-to-shoulder with DMC5.
For the record W101 is my favorite game.
Love this game.
Everyone shits on it because it's a bad fighting game, but it's a great game.
10/10 soundtrack too.
>Ugly artstyle
not him, but I think World's artstyle is the most charming, followed by 3.
I never get the comments on the art style. I feel like it holds up better than anything before it, and is only outdone in art (but not gameplay) by Yoshi's island (that game has the comfiest art of any game, period)
The pace is really slow and the game feels clunky compared to other kirby games. Super Star came out before and the copy ability movesets were actually fun to use. Everything in 64 feels like a cheap gimmick.
Great choice in rhythm game user
what. the. fuck. DELETE THIS YOU NINCEL BOTW IS THE WORST GAME OF ALL TIME. I'm literally shaking right now. FUCK YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU LIVE
Halo 2
>too slow
there it is, that's what I was waiting for!
it is, Kirby moving at say x1.25 or x1.5 speed would help the game tremendously
I prefer the experimentation of ability combos over copy ability movesets, as it becomes harder to make abilities feel unique or feel like you would prefer a specific ability for a specific solution since half the movesets generally let you do everything you need. Super Star is the best utilization of ability movesets, but I still prefer combos.
But can you refute anything else in my post?
Okay, matthew.
Look, i like W101 but those auto scroller missions kamiya keeps forcing into his games are total trash.
Nah. I wasn't arguing about that. I just really fucking hate OOT.
please post more midna
Twilight Princess is a game I have a lot of nostalgia for, but still recognize as being a weak Zelda game.
>Link gets cucked out of his own spotlight by Midna as the game goes on
>Zelda barely does anything
>Ganon is underused
>Zant is wasted
>too many linear dungeons
>item-of-the-week
>Aonuma thinking he can direct cutscenes that don’t induce cringe
>button-mashing combat encounters
>visual variety for enemies, but they all play out roughly the same: wait for the weakness, use item to win, or spam sword
>wolf link segments
>segmented Hyrule Field
>special moves that aren’t even necessary
>MIDI music
>weird character and enemy designs
>almost no optional exploration
There's no accounting for taste, but a lot of the tilesets look very samey as far as I can recall. The ice caves in particular were the biggest offender.
Probably this one. Not that it's particularly revolutionary or the best game ever made, it's just solid all-around and I have a great time whenever I play it.
i meant porn
I don't wanna eat a ban user
I think I'm finally going to fucking play this game after years of this shit posting. I have to see which side of the argument I'll land on.
The Zelda games I've played so far are Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's mask, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword and the Minish Cap. Minish Cap is probably my favorite
Literally the only flaw of this game is the console that its on. Its honestly such a perfect game
Does anyone unironically shit on these games?
come at me nerds
Persona 4, hands down
people only really complain about SM64's camera
What did you like about Minish Cap? And what do you think of the series in general (from what you’ve played)? It might determine what you’ll think of BotW
How would you rank them?
I never found the game as fun as World, personally. I have nothing against it though.
Backtracking everywhere, most notably Chapters 4 and 7. Also the Great Puni Tree.
Crash Bandicoot 1
Come on, Yea Forums. I'm hungry-hungry!
>forced grinding for multiple days between each story mission
>horrendously slow paced for the first dozen hours
Kantooooo
Good taste.
Zoomers are the worst thing to ever happen--by that I mean, whoever added a caption to this image should really consider the merits of suicide.
Combat, sidequests, level detail, and playing the same game twice to progress the story are inexcusable reasons to think this game is anything more than good
Kinstones were a pretty garbage system.
Sorry, but the gameplay is just pure ass. No amount of good storytelling can save it.
Still slow and lacks the Physical Special Split. Wireless peripheral was pointless on virtue of nobody having it.
Golbat not being able to evolve until postgame because reasons but you get the evo screen every level if you decide to use it.
Doesn't address any of KANTOOOOO's flaws
It's time for you zoomers to repent
BotW is too easy to shit on
Jagged Alliance 2
I fucking dare you faggots
to be fair the segmented hyrule area might've been due to the limitation of the gamecube
Hard Mode: Don't mention communism.
I think what was so strong about the Minish Cap was the depth of its puzzles and world design. It had the typical 2D Zelda puzzle design of using character movement and tools to get across maps but the added mechanic of the minish cap shrink never got old and always made things a little fresh. In a simple sentence think overall it was the level design I liked the most
1.Minish Cap
2.Ocarina
3.Link to the Past
4.Twilight Princess
5.Majora's Mask
6.Skyward
Only thing I can say thats not even shitting on the game is that its sad Nintendo can’t make music like this anymore
Pretty good taste. I'd swap Twilight and Majora though.
not very difficult and as stated before, the backtracking makes me cringe beyond belief
KANTOOOOOO is already bad enough but it's also a somewhat easier take on it for the dumb kiddies; the sprites also aged like old milk compared to gold/silver
somehow has less actual gameplay in it than a SNES game
>full of useless gimmick shit like RPG fucking stats and fucking rhythm games
>lmao, stealth missions
>lmao, dating
>lmao, melee fighting styles
>lmao, stealing loot at night
>that RPG shit makes the game feel like a wet noodle at the start
>mandatory racing with THAT kind of car handling
>mandatory car/flying schools
>"follow that layer" type of mission
>yet ANOTHER fucking toy with guns mission, and more to come
>guess fucking what, for everything above you get a mandatory tutorial
>all weapons sound like shit
>boats are still useless
>Las Vegas city might as well be deleted, nothing of value will be lost
>collectibles (graffiti, horseshoes, clams, photos)
>oh, you've spend your time expanding your territory? what a loser, get fucked, lol
I love the game as much as the next guy, but replaying it is such a chore since you constantly saying "oh yeah, THAT mission" and "oh yeah, this mission is a tutorial for THAT".
Ah, but you're wrong there. The Rythm Combo system adds far more gameplay than whatever is supposedly missing from EB (which I'm drawing a blank on, anyhow. I assume there are less enemy types/status effects?)
Let's go.
I can't
I think the only part of kinstones I actually hated was the special items behind it. Like getting the mirror shield is a huge fucking pain and I've only gotten it on one playthrough
No way of learning the extra movement options, leeches, food sometimes too fsr from hibernation chambers to realistically get in time.
I haven't played through the whole game but I am enjoying what I've played of it. The learning curve is a bitch, but I probably just need to git gud
Now do me
>Forbidden Woods
>bad
What the fuck user
Yet it's still a more complete, let alone better, Pokemon game than anything Gen IV or newer. Only thing it was actually missing was a Battle Frontier and Emerald's animated sprites.
>forever incomplete
I love Mother 3 but
>mastering music syncing gave next to no reward, most characters stop using using physical attacks halfway through the game, even Boney just becomes an item whore. There should have been a minigame or quest where you can get good items or equipment for keeping up a tempo or getting certain numbers on difficult songs.
>The twist was emotional, but obvious
>The cut content implies a much more interesting game than what we got
>The story drags a bit too much before the actual journey
Other than that, really fucking good game
okay fags do your worst. I mean the DS version for all the good extra content, but I'm lazy and used what was on hand
I'm pretty sure most Zelda games have polarizing fanbases now that I think about it.
What's the most one sided a Zelda game's fanbase has ever been? I'd probably say Link's Awakening. Hard to shit on that game.
>more complete than Gen IV or V
You're free to have your own opinion but your opinion is wrong, DS era is peak Pokemon.
>the twist was obvious
are you talking about the Masked Man being Claus? They didn't try too much to hide that fact with PK Love and things like that. The twist was the final battle and Claus' suicide so Lucas can pull the needle.
OKAMI, come at me zelda fags
>megalith soundtrack
Oh boy, rev up those goosebumps
Considering Capcom flipped assets to make two gbc games, it's pretty divided.
Let's see what you've got to say
>samey looking environments for the bulk of the game. It's beautiful and unique, but gets bland in the game's context.
>not enough movement options readily available, feels a bit like a slog for the first few hours before you can properly map.
>combat is a bit bland, bosses are carried by difficulty and engaging patterns, but normal enemies seldom have said interesting ways to take them out.
This.
It's basically a death sentence to have a Metroidvania with unmemorable rooms, ESPECIALLY with a game with a much weaker map system.
I agree with most of what you said about M3. The only thing I would say is that if you're talking about the whole Masked Man's true identity thing then I don't think it's meant to be a twist so much as it's meant to be a bit of, for lack of a less pretentious term, dramatic irony where the player knows pretty early on who the MM is and what's eventually going to happen but the cast doesn't.
As for CT, it's been way too long since I played it but I remember the game feeling a little aimless just after Crono dies. That could've just been me being a dumbass kid, though.
>Orochi
>All battles besides bosses take place in isolated areas, making them feel like they aren't a part of the world they inhabit
>Orochi
>Game lasts way too long for what it should be. Could have easily been two games, especially with the narrative ending like three times.
>Orochi
>Stopping the battle to make a stroke never really feels intuitive no matter what version you're playing
>Orochi
>Repetitive dialogue across the three arcs makes them feel like even more of a drag
>Orochi is the exact same boss three times, where you have to perform three cycles of doing the same thing 8 times. That means you'll have to make a dragon head drink 72 times over the course of the game.
Fuck Okami, I'm not even a huge Zeldafag. It's a game that's much better to look at than to play, because it excels at everything but actually playing the fucker.
>snakes everywhere
>scenery is bland
>narrow corridors and gank mobs
>not-so-ganky boss unless you take too long to kill them
Incredibly easy and monotonous, most of the underground or water levels are a chore, lack of power ups, Yoshi is more of a handicap since the cape outclasses everything
The graphics and sound are my favorite from any Mario game though, wish all levels would be as varied as the hidden ones
heartgold & soulsilver are still the finest pokemon games ever made, to me. tough to argue with any particular version being someone's favorite though, since few series have the same nostalgia factor
I mean, there are still a few memorable rooms out there that aren't the black egg, although they are a big obvious.
The fountain in the middle of city of tears, the mask makers room, the queens chamber, and a few others. I can visualize the drop down to the abyssand all the platforms.
>Lore is given too little focus, this is intentional but I really cannot give a fragment of a fuck if I don't know why I'm doing what I'm doing. You're just exploring for exploring's sake.
>information about true endings can be completely missed, you're far more likely to end the game at Hollow Knight.
>Some poorly designed bosses like the giant fly or Wormmarm (the one that's just a non-moving enemy spawner that does nothing else)
>Speaking of, the entire sewer area is garbage with fast multi-hit enemies that come flying towards you
>The map system is terrible.
Also agreeing with
Pretty much every Nintendo franchise's fanbases adds up to "GAME I GREW UP WITH GOOD, GAME YOU GREW UP WITH BAD" except for the more recent ones like Splatoon for obvious reasons.
Most characters are too similar due to simple control. Most fight end up in projectile/grab spam due to how control works.
Has the most shitty-est english dub ever Except danzaiver
Eh, I always found the secrets too easy to find and the progression it's pretty linear, rupees are rarely used so you end up with 999 all the time and I find the combat a bit clunky. I prefer Links awakening or Ocarina
1/10 bait have a (you)
The cut content would have made this game have the much needed lenght the final product lacked. That's all my gripe with an otherwise Kino game
Didn't play it. I wish I did.
Based.
10+ years and still hasn't been topped.
>Fawful carries the story hard. The narrative has nothing very interseting bar him and Dark Star is more of a force of nature than a proper enemy
>environments were also very bog standard bar inside Bowser, too. At least Dream Team transformed the usual Grasslands into a park/ hubworld, the Desert into a construction site, even the usual woods were infused with otherworldly and dreamlike (heh) qualities, so it at least stood out visually
>introduced Starlow
RPG elements are a chore until you max out muscle and tell the other stats to fuck off, except for that one woozy mission that can get fucked.
Collectibles are completely optional and so is the dating minigame, all else are legit complains
the great thing about OOT is how good it is in SPITE of its age, the 3ds gameplay changes to the iron boots and gyro aiming cured thw only sour points of the original version, fuck majora 3d though, stupid ass aonuma changes
Try me Yea Forumsermins.
Persona 5 is by far the worst persona the writing is actually cringe inducing and I hope the series dies because it has already achieved perfection and all future games will probably be very derivate like 5 was unless there is a major change in design philosophy
Aonuma with Majora's Mask and then him changing Majora's Mask 3D is poetic as fuck. It shows just how out of touch and how an artist can fall throughout the years.
1. Xenoblade Chronicles
2. Arx Fatalis
3. Gmod
did you forget about driving skill that makes you say "wait, was the driving always this bad", stamina skill and is literally "fun is over, now you wait" and every gun skill?
you know MM3D is brighter on 3DS to account for the smaller screen size right?
Doesn't make it better than N64 but the reasoning certainly wasn't "artistic integrity"
The brightness isn't the only problem with the game dipshit.
>only one save file
>touch controls for Psychs can be imprecise at times depending on what pins you have equipped
>AI for auto is shit
>some of the characters don’t get nearly as much screentime as they deserve
>evolving pins with Mingle is tedious as fuck
>no easy well to tell equipment stats from the other ones
Still one of my favorite games, though.
only one i would disagree with is auto, since I never played with it one. but everything else is spot on. i hope if they ever make a TWEWY 2 id fix at least the touch controls.
I know, but it was still bothersome and made the game feel a lot smaller.
Before I was able to git gud, I recall the auto screwing me over more than once due to my partner taking too much damage.
Has a worse second half than any Dark Souls game.
Search your heart, you know it to be true.
Skyri
A lot of people like it but /v hates it
Can somebody explain how this is 'the best game of all time'?
It isn't. The image is from some literal who website.
I agree with this poster.
Based on this response, I don’t think you would be a fan of BotW. It has some interesting puzzles, but they are greatly deemphasized compared to the exploration of the game world.
See my earlier response:
Hard mode.
Hard mode: Don't use the word "Casual" when criticizing it.
I bought this for $15 and felt ripped off.
Last case is 1-4 again but worse (again).
DLC never ever
my fate has been sealed
Too hard.
Reinstalling
What the fuck nigga?
earthbound
This is mine.
Every fucking time I post it here it's nothing but "fuck you" this or "seethe" that.
Having no fucking multiplayer aside from the minigames was complete shit, specially since both Super Star and Dreamland 3 had it
fuck you
>It will never be 2007 again
The graphics are shits and the game's optimization is garbage like on every Platinum game, on top of that the gameplay is braindead button mashing shit
I remember one thing only from this game.
That rebel soldier death sound.
YAAAAAHAHAHAAAAA-AHHHHH
easy as shit, going to the fucking sewers everytime you get one of the stars is boring as fuck and the whole cannon bullshit sucks
Yeah I don't know why all the Rebel troops were black.
huh. now that i think about it, is there any downside to keeping the price down low instead of raising the entry fee?
Driving was always bad in GTA. Rockstar can't into physics
Too much of a brainlet to understand it
>useless pistols
found the retard
>wew I push a button and the health go down
>no other button to do the same shit
cope
Unironically love both pve and pvp
Fucking based.
this, it's my absolute favorite. the dlc is beyond amazing and fixed the issues I had with the main game
This is my all time favorite game
Agreed. Athena's backstory is a little too similar to Edgeworth's.
At this point the series did start getting repetitive, like how the last case in Spirit of Justice rehashes 2-4 and 3-5.
Do your worst.
What exactly does the BOTW game world consist off?
Sweet fuck all content
Garbage weapon degradation system
Pitiful enemy variety
Epona is physical dlc
Effect the guardians have on the final boss is pitiful
Most of the servers suck
Dietys stance on catbeasts is awful
Anti cult retards keep nerfing the most fun part of the game
No free camera
The fights against the big blob thing weren't very fun
Cut enemies for no good reason and zombies take too much to put down
Tear collection is kind of tedious
Kind of sloppily programed in parts but that's understandable given the new ground they were tredding
Hitboxs can be a bit shit
Skeleton wheels are unfun to fight
The android port didn't warn me that it had new content so my purist ass got fucked.
Not looking up and down is outdated
The update that made citizens talkative in adventure mode tanked performance
The offical forum is filled with fags
Flying mounts should have been slower than ground mounts or at least the same speed
It's just a ton of fun. Yes, even the treasure hunting.
This is a better (and overall the best) sonic game, but nobody shits on it so I'm not sure why you're posting it
The PS2 Platformer King
it's not red alert 2
UI a shit
pvp is the worst part of this game.
It's the complete opposite.
People use this to bash on the game, but the rhythmic pattern combat is pretty fun.
some zones drag like carnival night and sandopolis, but I still really fucking love this game. I'd wish they'd make a 3D sonic game that wasn't segmented but a single continuous adventure like this one.
