One of the biggest issues is huge servers that whore out invites just to get bigger and bigger numbers in their server. They are soulless shit holes where no true community can form except among the founding members who usually lord their powers and status over everyone else and generally jerk each other off.
That and they have a weird official policy on content where underage furry porn is allowed but not human loli stuff for some reason.
It's a fine platform if you use it to communicate with people you actually know.

Its skype 2.0, the VOIP is trash, but the text chat and community features are 10x better then any other community program out there.
I still use TS3 myself, but thats because I mostly use VOIP and prefer the management tools of TS3 over discord, i.e. forcing everyone to use fucking push to talk so their buzzing shit doesn't flood the VOIP.

once i was an admin on this shitty game and we used IRC and it was dope we had chill convo between admins about the game and stuff and help if we needed it
and then we switched to discord and everything turned into one big drama meme and the server filled up with like 2000 furries and weebshits half of which didnt even play our server but still got a vote because "muh community"
