SanDisk 1TB Micro SD is on sale via Amazon Prime Day for $340.82 (down from $449.99).

Uhhh, store your whole Switch digital library and all that. Vita fans BTFO.
FYI
that's a bit overkill for me, I'll probably just grab a 500 one
That's still expensive as fuck though.
>Paying hundreds for something intangible
Is 256 GB enough? How many Switch game files can it store assuming none of the games I buy are digital?
could you imagine going back 60 years and showing them what 1TB will look like?
What kind of autist would need this amount of space? There is no way any person needs this many games at once unless suffering from some hoarding mental illness.
lol I picked up a 128GB one and that's fine for me, not an abundance of games for the Switch anyway and the first party ones are oddly light on storage
PS4 and Xbone have 1TB hard drives by default lol
Defend this Nintendofags.
Just play one game until you finish it, having whole library on 1tb card wont help you
>what do you use it for
>uh. porn. uh. and video games. see we play basically dolls and dollhouses, on a tv screen. and. uh. really big pictures
I can get a 512 GB one for fifty bucks....
>paying more for the memory card than the console itself
Yes the average Switch game is like 10GB if even that. Even 250GB is overkill.
>get a terabyte of games
>Paid for every single one
>Something happens to the storage device (damage, corruption, losing it)
>"Ph-physical is obsolete!"
>$300
I get it. It's small, solid state storage the size of a thumbnail, but Jesus Christ when you consider how small and inexpensive a 2.5 HDD is that's a huge price gap.
Doesn't switch use cartridges. Maybe useful if you have hacked switch, but even then a bit too overkill in my opinion.
>Not waiting a year until it's less than $100
It's like you're begging for your money to be taken away.
I think I'll just get the 64 gb one got 12 bucks
Anyway hows tales of vesperia on switch? I see it's 30 dollars for the physical copy new
id go with 128 if i didnt doenload any games. 256 if i did. Thats if you play most of the big games that come out on it.
Now you need games..
ops
>having to spend more than what you paid for the console just to have room to play games
lmao
>1 TB of data can now be stored on a thing the size of your pinky finger nail
Still blows my mind.
Thanks, just bought one for my wife’s son to play fortnite on.
>Switch has 32 GB hard drive, but single games larger than 32 GB
>PS4 and Xbone have 1TB hard drives, but no games to put on them
Really makes one think
>using this much space to download only games
zoinks! i hope you're pirating them at least and not spending more money on top of the 300+ burgers
deals are shit as usual.
You mean switch has games now? When did that happen?
Good one. Very original.
I bought this for £18 instead. It's big enough for me.
What a great deal, now I can finally play all those 5 year old ports that only cost an extra $60 each on top of that. For a thousand dollars you play Skyrim.
>he doesn't have CFW and can load games from a 10TB drive
lamo
kek
Pretty sure a lot of people have HDDs that have over 1TB of storage
seething
>hack a vita
>get SD2Vita
>install literally the entire library to the card
lmoa
the switch can’t handle more than 128 I think
not true
I’m gonna shove that fat bastard in my 3ds, just you watch
It can handle up to 2tb
Where?
Wrong
Nintendo's cartridges have been nothing more than dolled-up SD cards since the DS. SD cards are notoriously slow AF, it makes a 5400RPM laptop HDD seem blazing fast in comparison.
I have 50 games with a 256 gb one , the most you gonna need is a 512gb one
Only need 16gb to store every good Switch game
not even Breath of the wild fits on a 16 gb
Mine uses a 256, dunno about higher than that
>every GOOD Switch game
bye bitch , play better bait games
Considering they had sci fi since the 1800s they will probably understand
>vita died because cards were so expensive
>nintenfags eat it up
I don’t get it
?
Vita uses their own memory cards, switch uses plain SD cards
I put a 64 GB and have no intention to purchase anything Digital
Grabbed a 512GB one, my current 256 isn't enough for the hundred games i have.
what the fuck
if it uses a micro SD card, you do not need a god damned terabyte. the device using it won't even last you long enough to use up all the space
I buy almost entirely physical whenever possible and went with 128 GB, which should be more than enough. I got it on discount for like $25 during the holiday sales late last year.
As recently as Back to the Future in the mid '80s, "GIGA" was so unfamiliar a concept that its pronunciation wasn't even well known.
>1.21 "JIGGA"watts
vita's memory cards were proprietary and held little for what they costed. And you had to buy one with the console. Meanwhile 3DS came with a 4GB SD card and Switch comes with 32GB internal storage
You can always download the games again if you bought them and cloud saves for your data
Ive been pirating switch games heavily on my 400gb card and its not close to being full.
Most games are kinda small.
>1TB Micro SD
what a time to be alive
The point is moot now because you can get an adaptor for $2 and enjoy any micro sd
How is that any different from something happening to your disc?
I have 64GB and wanna upgrade how do I do that just use a PC to move the files?
Assuming you have an adapter/reader for it I think the new card needs to be formatted by the Switch itself then you can copy paste using a PC
There's one game on a disc, not 200 you fucking sperg
When will 2TB Micro SD cards be made available for consumers to purchase? The Switch can apparently take up to 2TB apparently.
and you cant actually redownload a disc like that for retail games.
>Hmmmm what's worse, losing 200 games or 1???
yeah I fucking wonder, you fucking brainlet.
$30 for 256gb?? must have been out of the loop cuz it wasn't too long ago that you would pay that much for 64gb and that was a steal.
and my old 128 goes into the vita
What's the lifespan of memory cards?
>cloud saves
Cloud saves require a sub and they don't work for random games like Animal Crossing because the devs chose to fuck over all players to stop a small group of players from playing the game how they want.
my 2gb card I bought for my R4 back in 2007 still works
SSDs have gotten super cheap at the moment, £80 for 1 TB of regular SATA SSD isn't hard to find, especially if you don't mind chinky brands.
Fucking last card I got on sale is giving me a shit ton of errors once I start filling it up some. I have a feeling it's just a 32 GB card painted and spoofed as 256 GB. My return window already closed a month ago too, fuck
hard to say. I've had some for over a decade and they still work.
I've had other fail, but mostly because I swapped them around too often. I guess the pins went to shit.
If you plan to pirate games its not a dumb idea to use FTP over card readers.
this dudes ass is incredible
>needing more than 250gb
digicucks love wasting money
>Cloud saves require a sub
That really pisses me off that jewtendo does this when all their competitors do it for free
How in the fuck is this possible? How do you fit so much data on a micro SD?
Why is it so expensive? Why does the price skyrocket with higher capacities?
I'd settle for 100 or 50 GB user
unofficial product made by pirates, doesn't count
and it doesn't help that it came out long after the vita was already dead
microsd cards are actually scams. data is super tiny, all the pictures in this thread are barely a few bits each, but data is artificially inflated to high numbers to force you to buy storage and internet plans with more bandwidth.
there really is no logical way to explain how someone can place 3.2e+12 bits in the form of gates in the space of a fingernail and it cost only 300$
I'm about halfway full. But I've been really stingy with multi plats that are over 10 gigs.
anyone watching twitch sells out
I mean, even if you do manage to fill it up at 400gb you should easily be able to remove some of the games you dont care about at that point.
with 100gb I kinda strugged, but anybody should be fine with 200-400gb.
Switch fans are just as bad as Vita fans
I have yet to see one insane switch fanboy threaten people with violence.
You can get a fucking Ryzen 3800x for that price, that is not worth it at all. Just get 256gb or 500gb
Online sales feel so empty and complicated any more. Amazon's website is still a chore to navigate and they always lie about things being on sale anyway so it's hard to tell what is really on sale without crunching numbers and comparison shopping. I hate that all the competitor's sales are no different. I'm scrolling through Newegg's sale and there's a Nintendo Switch for the low price of $299.99 on their sale page, 2 days left. It feels like such a waste of time, I'd rather just spend more fucking money with the time I save not looking at sales.
Is there even a single fucking 1TB SSD for under $100? This sale is so shit.
I bought a bike instead. Prime day has always sucked. Every subsequent prime day after the first one sucked sick.
