It's a metroidvania.
Game has a good art, music, animations and abilities.
But other parts are pretty bland and boring. That includes - exploration, locations, enemies and the use of abilities. Bosses is alright I guess.
Do not recommend unless you pirate or get it really cheap on sale or whatever.

The story isn't all that heavy but the characters will all act as if they already know each other so it may come off as weird if you don't know the characters or their relationships to each other. You can kinda infer it for the most part. The bulk of the characters are from Touhou 6, except two of them.

The story is basically here's a bunch of fan favorite characters from this property, they're all conveniently put together in this dream world so that you can fight them all as bosses. The writing is mostly boilerplate.
