One chapter ended with some girl dying in a mansion and several other girls were all crying about it and my Asura was just stood there awkwardly like "who the fuck are these women...?"

Started playing Black Desert instead, and have really considered getting back into FFXIV (never hit end game because the slow leveling eventually got me to quit.) I might even jump back on ESO and check out the Necro, and even considered trying WoW for a couple months just to smash all the new content and then quit again. GW2 isn't even on my radar.

BDO doesn't really have races. You pick a class with a base body and you can edit it.
There is a lolishit class to play now though

There aren't races, but the classes themselves have visually distinct differences and customization options, so it's as if the classes are race locked.

You can try Pyriax too who does a lot of asura related stuff too although I wouldn't lie trying to build up a portfolio of artists that do asura stuff has been bit of a bitch. took a hell of a lot of searching around on tumblr and after the purge they've all scattered around onto other platforms now.

I bought black desert to try and for some reason it put me in with Turks / MENA while I stay in South Africa and you cannot change it lol
