bad b8 m8 classic is already dead

It was called VC since vanilla since Dire Maul launched and was the only DM that actually mattered for progression.

It's actually WotLK where it stopped because Blizzard killed meaningful progression with welfare epics and catch up mechanics.

>It was called VC since vanilla
Lmao, Wotlk baby is THAT delusional

It depended on the server you played. VC was standard for mine back before TBC.

Dire Maul launched in Vanilla retard

what doe VC mean

Same
It was VC for Deadmines and DM for Dire Maul on Dragonmaw in vanilla.

VanCleef, the last name of the final boss in Deadmines.

Vancliff
I don't know why wotlk kids used this name

>Trying to join a DM group
>It's fucking Dire Maul

sever

What is VC?

Everyone called it DM on Draenor back when I played. Maybe your server was just full of retards

some people used VC on my european server but it never made sense to me and it definitely wasnt mainstream but at the same time we never called things "princess runs" "herod run" etc so I guess it might just be a language=objective thing

Wtf? When I played in BC everyone called it DM and DM because they aren't in the same zone or level area??? is not that hard. We also always assumed when a level 14 asked in guild chat if anyone wants to do DM he definitely didn't mean Dire Maul.

Dire Maul is either DM:E, DM:W or DM:N, DM alone is Deadmines. Players called it DM before and after Dire Maul launched, it sticked. VC was only a thing on new servers/playerbases.

Horde were more likely to call it VC because we had no attachment to DM for Deadmines.

My server called it dm in westfall, VC in stormwind

No shit, no one called it vc during vanilla

No one in classic started a group for deadmines by calling it VC, literally none, most groups formed in westfall where people wouldnt be calling for diremaul.

braindead

>lfp vc

Imagine actually rolling alliance.

>imagine rolling Horde after in 8.2 Golden retconed Cairne and said he personally allowed dwarfs to dig in mulgore and Barrens and that he punished every Tauren who raised hand against them

I try not to think of post-Legion WoW.

imagine not having friends who play both

holy crap lol this guy got cword!

can you provide me a source on that?

welfare epic started coming since season 2 or 3 back in BC

DM = DEADMINES
DM E,W or N = Dire Maul East, West or North
HOW HARD CAN IT BE?

Your server was gay bro

People called it VC because they needed VanCleef's head for the final quest of The Defias Brotherhood

>this fucking retard cares about that

they're both DM. use context clues you fucking mongs. obviously a level 60 isn't going to be looking for a deadmines group

>VC

I played vanilla to end of wotlk and not fucking once did anyone ever call it that

Attached: 5D587A80-20CA-4D3E-8AB9-857ACBF51635.jpg (686x405, 22K)

Dire Maul launched later in vanilla at patch 1.3.0. DM has always been Deadmines, if anyone wished to shorten Dire Maul to DM, they included the name of the wing aka "Faggot zoomer that has no idea what he's talking about lfm DM East".

why not just say DIRE e,w,etc

Attached: 1551661691167.jpg (835x773, 134K)

I hadn't heard of this term either. Everyone called it DM when I was playing in the 2000s.

Dire Maul was DiM you idiot

They only do in SW, user

Attached: iu[1].jpg (322x409, 24K)

dm = deadmines
dm east / west / north = dire maul

On my server most people used "dm" as an abbreviation for deadmines, but I still remember being weirded out from time to time by jackasses who were looking for a group for "vc"

i hate Yea Forums so fucking much

i miss WC, now that was a dungeon

After dire maul came out everyone called it vc on my server

it's just a straight line

>the shaman fucked up the jump AGAIN

why use many word when few do the trick

i miss bfd. wow classic just doesnt look exciting to me anymore and i dont know why

Let me tell you bout vanilla stockades....
youtube.com/watch?v=lv7wDaIaS2I

You never played vanilla did you? I remember it being called vc in 2005

DM on bloodfeather eu

Stop spewing shit. I was on Illidan since 2004 and everyone called it VC

fucking zoomers that werent even alive when vanilla came out thinking A N Y O N E called it dm once dire maul was released

both on both kel'thuzad and feathermoon

Attached: SQUAD.png (253x190, 145K)

>user: WTT [ITEM] 20g
>Zoomers; IT's WTS NOT WTT! WANT TO SELL!!!
>user: WTT [ITEM] 20g :)

I played in vanilla and we called it VC, it probably varied from server to server
Stop being a retard

Dire maul wasn’t present on release, you dumb shit.
It also had distinct wings people would clarify with

>it probably varied from server to server
This, brainlets ITT don't realize that different servers actually had somewhat different cultures back in vanilla WoW

my sole mission when classic drops is to corner the server's black lotus market

Attached: 1563174104806.jpg (125x99, 2K)

Gorefiend server called it VC, on the alliance at least

Back in my day we said FS:

>Faggots in this thread arguing zoomer, babby meme shit when the DM/VC idiom depended on the server...

Attached: 853.png (325x533, 240K)

No, we didn't
Real gorefiend oldfag

how close is classic to vanilla? any major changes?

it's a vlassic pickle

Maybe this is an America vs Europe problem?
The game launched later in Europe, and it was already patched when we first got it.
I specifically remember Deadmine LFG's saying VC. Maybe its because everyone wanted to go there specifically for the quest, so it was "looking for more for Van Cleef quest" in a sense?

No one ever called it anything other than DM ever. And generally anyone who actually Did Diremaul pretty much only ever did tribute runs. So generally it was always
> /5 LFG Trib Run
And everyone understood what it was. if you wanted to ever do anything other than Trib runs you specifically asked in your guild for it, which was bullshit if you were a warlock or paladin and needed shit from those places.

show undeniable timestamped proof that you played during vanilla

>huntard didnt dismiss his pet before jump

>tfw enjoying retail

Got myself a nice guild with mostly british cunts, we raid once a week and doing high keys, listening to banter is a bliss and that what mmos should be about.

Attached: images.jpg (234x215, 9K)

I remember it being big problem in gnomer, but not there

It was if you didnt clear all of the raptors before heading that way.

Bro looking for more SW because you kill whitemane

>posting boomer when talking about liking zoomer games
uhh

its dm. anyone who disagrees is a faggot. level 16 lfg dm you dumkb niggers really think he talking about diremaul fucking lmao

>ragefire chasm, uldaman, bfd, and who could forget bringing a hunter to the gaps of bfd!

Attached: 1563099677193.jpg (354x385, 17K)

>dungeon specific crafting recipes
>dungeon specific quest
>good enemy variety, yet all fit the zone
>makes recent skill pickups feel useful (like the curing totem)
>you get a nice buff at the start, immersing with the narrative of helping these druids
>items make sense for where you are and who you are killing
>some out-of-combat scripting for the end boss
>lore told through the encounters themselves
>optional bosses
>optional routes
>"secret" bosses
>rare spawn bosses
>fishing spots
>all gathering professions can pick things up
>kill quest, collect quest, explore quest
>good items to sell on AH even if you are over-leveling the zone and dont need the gear
>a pre-dungeon in front of the dungeon, with its own elites, rares, quests, sets the mood just right and filters the worst of newbies
>tonally different from the zone around it (an underground jungle in the middle of a barren steppe)

Why weren't all dungeons like that?
All it was missing was a separate exit, so that you enter from one place, and leave by some back tunnel on the side of the hill maybe.

alt? Don't you mean TWINK?

im going hunter with skinning and herb to make dosh

skinning for lvling and herb for that BRACK ROTUS

VC was a fairly common name for Deadmines even back in Vanilla

Lolno. Deadmines was DM, while Dire Mail was DiM.

Black Lotus is a mafia business, you won't make money unless you are part of the ruling class.

I started WoW right when BC released and everyone was already calling it VC. I never heard anyone call it anything else until I played on a classic private server a while back.

Only literal retards say VC. NO ONE did the entirety of Dire Maul so not even the people running it call it DM.

It was called VC by a lot of people because for many Alliance players it was the first dungeon they ran, and they didn't know what a dungeon was. They just got a group quest to go kill VanCleef, hence "looking for more to kill VanCleef."

>the people who call it VC are the ones too stupid to shift click before sending an invite/whisper
Really makes you think

Vagina Clit

I'm still super excited for Classic, and seeing all the negative feedback from Streamshitters and zoom-zoom's on this board only makes me happier. A game that's mostly dead apart from a few thousand boomers that gets no updates is exactly what I want to play.

Attached: 1562921052759.gif (500x360, 766K)

It's 1.12 with gated content and sharding for the first phase.

Vc was always vc after launch of diremaulif you believe otherwise you did not play vanilla, the end.

Zoom zoom

My Europe server had princess runs. Absolutely never ever VC though.

revisionist trash like you think that anyone called DM VC. They did not, and retards like you probably call strat living "human" and undead "baron" too, fucking hipster. This whole issue is pedantic trolling faggotry like confusing pokemon SS for SoulSilver, nobody actually does it, it's just for being a faggot. If someone is level 18 they are talking about deadmines, if they're 60 it's dire maul, even cock goblins like you should be able to distinguish the correct dungeon from the context.

I just type /1 lfm dmines and don't sperg about it, done

Everyone just caled Dire Maul "Ira," for "dIRe mAul," to not confuse it with Dead Mines (DM) you fucking wotlk shitter.

LFG VC

If you're in Westfall and that statement confuses or upsets you, then you obviously have bigger problems.

Nobody ever says this anyway since everyone calls it DM.

It does confuse me. Not because of what it is, but why are you such a gigantic faggot that you call Deadmines VC in Westfall.

Original servers called deadmines DM, because that’s what they were used to and new people got in line with the oldfags.
Be revisionist somewhere else
