Why don't they just release those old PS1 games on the PS4? They obviously have the licensing for them.
Never got the point of these when a so yboy can buy a real PS1 with a copy of his one or two favorite games for a hundred bucks anyways, or when PC emulation has been vastly superior with mednafen despite the classic being based on PCSX-R.

Because why do that when you can sell another device? Anyways yeah mednafen is superior and all but I wouldn't have been upset about this if they at least fucking put correct region games on it. At least it can be hacked to have any game I guess

imagine paying for ANY of that shit. why the fuck did people give a crap about the nintendo ones? every single one of those games could easily be downloaded to anyone's phone these days and emulated perfectly. don't like the phone? well literally anything made after the mid 00s outta have no trouble. seriously like 10 fucking years before this shit came out i was playing an online n64 emulator on an old dell.

they work on pc you schmucks. i played tekken 7 with them. the shoulder buttons are recognized backwards though. i got the system for 30 bucks and the build quality did still feel cheap. i forgot it doesnt even come with its own power cable and brick. the system isnt even worth hacking, so into my miscellaneous drawer it goes. i'll keep the controllers handy though.

I heard they used PAL region stuff to make translation easier. PAL stuff typically has support for french and german.

Why couldn't they just let people use wireless PS4 controllers? The controllers look so similar, the nostalgia doesn't hit as hard as with NES or SNES

I'd say "bruh, I'm _soooo_ glad I bought mine early and only paid $60 for one with a DS3 and a memory card", but that motherfucker sat collecting dust for years before the hacking scene took off to where it is today. And most of what's on there is also on other platforms, anyway.
So I can't even dickwag. I'd sell my shit for $60 with said controller, memory card, and my paltry collection any day.
That said, I think the inflated prices are just hype. The main reason to have a hacked PSTV is just to play the good games, 90% of which are PSP games, on a big screen that's going to blow up the images and make them look like shit. Handhelds get away with lowres screens because of their size. Dissidia 012 really shows it's age blown up to 1080p.

The only reason to get a Vita TV for me was Persona 4 Golden, but I'm honestly just waiting for a cheap one on ebay to spring up to hack.
Also where the fuck do you even get new DS3s nowadays. Seems the only option is to buy them used.
