Not really, slow work means slow money, less growth or even no growth. They worked slowly in the past and you can see what happened on graphtreon.
You gotta keep going and improve the game to keep the money coming in. So yeah while the patreon model kinda doesnt place a lot of stress on the devs to meet deadlines and all it still incentivizes the devs moving forward and improving their game. It might be slower than an actual AAA game being developed, but it makes perfect sense as the devs on patreon still dont have dozens or even hundreds of professionals in their teams, millions of dollars in budget and an existing game production workflow from a long studio history. Think about all this next time you call a game like this out for being "too slow".
