I think the mine cart quests were pretty good, they force the player to really slow down and ponder Thancred's development in a gritty atmosphere. Magnus was an obvious parallel and foil to Thancred that helped him gain his resolve. Even the wife's final message to Magnus was parallel to Minfillia's final message

I cleared Titania in the duty finder on I think my second or third group tops, and then proceeded to farm the rest of the nine fights I needed in the next few hours. In around the same amount of time that took me I've been watching shitters die to Innocence mechanics at a ridiculous rate. Group after group. I don't doubt Innocence is easier than Titania, the problem is shitters are worse at it because they don't have a macro to rely on for half the mechanics, instead they have to react as the situation plays out.

Started as gladiator, I found out online you can upgrade the class to a job at 30 and become a Paladin so I plan on going the Cecil route but in reverse. I got to the part where I was called to the waking sands for the first time and I met Minfillia. Story seems slow but that's only because I'm reading through the side quest text to get a better understanding of the zone/world. Pretty fun so far. Apart from the Scion RPers, the people that I've met have been really helpful, some catgirl gave me a bunch of minions.

Armory bonus is applied to all (combat) jobs under your highest, and quest exp is the only thing that isn't affected by it at all
The MSQ exp isn't better than just spamming dungeons or locking into PotD over and over it's just a) free-er b) technically less repetitive and c) required to unlock those dungeons/leveling content in the first place

Considering the "japanese" part of the SB MSQ was the only interesting one, I don't think that's true.

I liked the minecart quests, despite all the misery and sadness in the world, the fact that the possibility of a single mine cart becoming operable was enough to fill average joe miners with will and hope to get through each day. The SB MSQ that took us to Doma wasn't just Japan. It was medieval south east Asia with the pirates, ancient China with Doma, and Mongolia with the Steppes. The only Japan presented was Kugane, and we didn't even get to see the entire city, just the port area. The entire city was closed off to us since we're foreigners which was pretty kek. The east asian adventure was the only fun aspect of SB before we were thrown back into boring Ala Mhigo mountains and dirt.

The writing is weird, some of it gets localized into Japanese from English.

Every expansion has two main themes, one which is the trailer song and is usually just named after the expansion, and contains most of the motifs used in the expansion's music. That's what Shadowbringers (the song) falls under.

The other is a vocal track that typically plays during key moments in the story which is Dragonsong/Revolutions/Tomorrow and Tomorrow.

4.0's Scenario in general was too crowded and they were fucked regardless trying to make sense of two completely unrelated plots (reclaiming Ala Mhigo....but also reclaiming Doma) and then force them together.

The limit gauge doesn't reset during Innocence normal. If you have two or more debuff stacks after the add phase then using the tank LB is reasonable because it is very likely the healers will die without it. If everyone pops their mitigation and shields then you can survive 2 vuln stacks but only just barely.

Because you have about 8 seconds to kill the add, and the adds are constantly dropping circle aoes on themselves which fucks melees. It's also a normal trial so you're almost guaranteed to get new players who don't know what to do and will just attack any add.

Drop the ones you don't use that often. If you have a job where you keep the same glamour all the time and don't change your gear very much, you can just glamour directly out of the dresser instead of using up a plate.
