- 12 players
- Perma-death, but dying lets you possess monsters on the level
- Monsters have a chance to drop loot when killed
- Game keeps going until one survivor is left
All of you have to do to join is type 'connect 24.153.46.61' into the console, which is opened with pressing ctrl + alt + ~. Because this server isn't Steamworks connected, piratefags should be able to join too. Let's see which one of us is the best.

This will mostly be a stage rush/boss rush mode.

Rules: immediately look for teleporter, only blue portal we'll have is the starting one but if someone gets the newt before teleporter then that's fine

So is Rex's gameplan just basically holding down enemies with R skill while rocket jumping around with Shift and mortaring those entangled? The character just seems slow and miserable to play as-is, I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

Basically once your R is out and a couple things are in it, you're free to spam right click, which is what you need to be doing to keep damage flowing. Rocketing around with shift doesn't become really worth it until you have an afterburner.

Trying to do the "Kill an elite boss on Monsoon" challenge but I'm bad. How fast should I clear the first stages so I don't get wrecked in stage 4?

2-3 minutes per stage before hitting the teleporter, you should be heading to a new stage every 4-5 minutes.

Managed to loop twice on Monsoon, yeah it's definitely very mortar heavy for actually doing damage at all. Also fuck Malachite.

Ideally it's minimal fucking around and trying to optimize time vs rewards, although different map layouts can fuck this especially. If you're wanting to go fast, try spending no more than six minutes per map. With Monsoon you're going to be collecting a lot more money at the end of a teleporter event, so just grab 1-3 items but don't farm for too long at all. Challenge shrines should boost the likelihood of seeing elite bosses at a given point.

What would the easy picks be?

Probably something more straightforward like Bandit or Sniper when the first game had a fairly varied cast despite some overlap like Miner. The former might as well be in seeing a half-finished version of Bandit is already in the game and it's probably not a bad idea to have another rooty-tooty-point-and-shooty guy, but hopefully the three blank slots aren't going to be everything (ie post-release) because I'll certainly be missing some characters.

Bandit is confirmed cut. A shame because he's actually pretty fun.
Then again I generally like the rooty-tooty-point-and-shooty characters. Really dislike the weird shit like Rex.

Well that's stupid. Otherwise yeah, I'm not feeling it with Rex either and I hope that's not what we're having to expect for the rest.
