Allow me to save the thread:
Every other aspect of the game is pretty much just average, but because of the combat alone I highly recommend Horizon: Zero Dawn. Most games have humanoid enemies with just one or 2 weak points, but HZD excels in the sheer number of ways you can attack the enemy that goes beyond just doing damage. You can shoot off their laser cannons to use against them, pierce their coolant tanks to cause an explosion, shred their underbelly’s armor plating with tripwires, and more. My only gripe in terms of the combat is that the slow down mechanic you unlock by leveling up feels a little cheap to abuse
