Dota Underlords already below daily 100k playerbase

OH NO NO NO NO

AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA

Artifact 2.0 confirmed.

What's wrong Valve? Can't cash in on fads like you used to?

>boring game ends up being boring
wow who wouldve thought?

Good, fuck valve's model.

Releasing half baked games?

That's just PC numbers. What about Android and iOS device numbers?

Are you not required to sign into steam to play on mobile? Interesting choice.

It amazes me how popular Teamfight Tactics is compared to Underlords when Underlords is so much more polished and has way less bugs. Its weird how the LoL brand is enough to push it to just being way more popular/successful. I have no brand loyalty to Riot or Valve (In fact, I kind of hate both) but TFT has so many more obvious problems and seems to receive way less updates than Underlords but it has been consistently more popular since release.

Though I don't know if those numbers include the phone version, do they?

You download it from the app store. Though I think you still log in with a steam account? It doesn't use the steam app though.

Can someone explain to me why this is the new flavor of the month?
I think I'm too boomer to understand.

>Requires Steam account

Still will count

AutoChess is worse than Battle Royale

I'll take Fortnite anyday over this boring shit and I've never even played Fortnite

I honestly think it is just more of a streamer thing than it is a player thing. TFT has way more people WATCHING streamers play it than people who actually play it. it is basically a game that a streamer can interact with the chat while playing. That is how I see it, at least.

ARTIFACT FLOP
UNDERLORDS FLOP
DOTA 2 KINDA AT THE SAME PLACE BUT FLOPPING AT AN ALARMING RATE

I said "I think" because I have never played the mobile version, only the PC one, though it is still certainly possible.

LoL is 100x more popular than Dota, that's why

I'm boomer and I love it. It's a video game m8, if you like strategy mixed with luck then it's for you.

You think people would play a worse version of the game just because of the LoL skin around it? I guess that makes sense, but its not like you can use your League cosmetics in TFT. Maybe if my Garen had the skin I bought for him it would create some sense of loyalty, but Underlords is just (currently) a better product.

Yes, people want to play the game around the characters they know. More people play LoL so they want to play an autochess that has those characters, even if it is inferior to dota underlords

>Worse version
tft is better than underlords. Not as good as autochess, but underlords is just total shit.

TFT has an incredible amount of gamebreaking bugs. I sure love when my units literally stand there and don't attack despite an enemy being right next to them. I sure love when my melee units refuse to walk a few inches to the right to be able to attack and stand there until someone dies. I sure love when units don't cast their spells at max mana. I sure love when the "clones" you fight when there are an odd number of players just don't have half of their abilities or synergies work. Not only this but the UI is even worse than Underlords and displays practically no fucking information. It is amazing how I can't even see how much damage my units do, or how much my enemy's units are doing. I love how I can't fucking see anything beyond HP/Mana/Ability for any fucking champion.

Underlords doesn't have half as many bugs, and that is amazing coming from a fucking Valve product. Underlords was rushed and halfbaked, yet TFT feels even more rushed and halfbaked.

BASED

Half baked mods.

cash in mod is garbage.
Wow im so surprised guys! Gabe should stop being a fat jew and actually make a real game for once.

Chess Rush is the best one

also isn't underlords a watered down auto chess? compared to the original/league version?

No it actually has more mechanics/less rng, with more coming.

No, it actually fixes a lot of the problems of the original mod. The only problem is that both TFT AND Underlords have less characters than the original mod. Underlords is basically just a copy/updated version of the mod with less heroes at this point, but some of the changes make it fundamentally better. Primarily that the Autochess Mod forced units to jump to move around, and when units jump they're momentarily invincible and it caused huge problems with characters with single target abilities just missing them because the character moved at the right time. The developers of the mod said they would fix it if they could, but they literally couldn't.

i see. i heard somewhere it didn't have items so that made me question.

No, it has items they just work differently. At the end of every creep round you get a choice of 3 items. Some of them are items you put on your character (like a sword that gives bonus damage) or they can be passive buffs to you (You get 4 item choices instead of 3) or to certain species/class (The "Brawny" units get 50 max HP whenever they kill a unit). I actually quite like the system over TFT/Auto Chess, but it definitely needs some balancing because some items/passives just suck dick.
