Metroid Prime 1's menu screen and the Trilogy's intro screen are two of my favorites.
Yes. It's really, really great. People say it's the weakest but it's still an extremely fun time and has some of the highlights of the entire trilogy.
Zoomer was erroneously translated as Geemer, then Metroid Prime kind of made it canon it by calling the Geemer an evolutionary offshoot of the Zeemer.
I don't know. I've never considered myself leaning towards one or the other, I just love the entire series. The 3D and 2D games honestly aren't that different to me, they all have very similar structures and themes, the only real difference is how they interpret stuff like how Samus moves and interacts with the environment.
What are your expectations, dreams, and fears for Metroid Prime 4?
i feel like by the end of prime you don't feel like a monster like you do in the 2D games
I'm trying to keep my expectations and dreams in check because it's been so long, I don't wanna get my hopes too high up. I just want to enjoy a new Metroid when it comes out on its own terms without bringing too many expectations in. I guess I'd like to see Sylux and some of the other guys from Hunters again. My fear is that it's going to be really, really safe retread of Prime 1. Prime was a fairly conservative game because the idea of a Metroid FPS was so crazy it kinda had to be, but once they found their feet, they started doing some crazy stuff and more than anything I want MP4 to continue that legacy.
That's fair. A big part of the catharsis of Zero Mission is how you become a totally unstoppable killing machine at the end and Super isn't that far off from that (although I think you still feel kind of vulnerable at the end of Fusion). You get pretty strong in the Prime games but the enemies pretty much always keep up with you.
what version of metroid prime should i play? gc or wii?
What engine were the Prime games made in?
A Leviathan hit the planet and because the planet had a special light energy source that made it so the planet didn't need the sun the impact caused the planet to split into two separate dimensions. That's why you have to collect all of the light energy and shit so it returns to the light dimension an destroys the dark dimension.
UE2.
It's honestly a judgment call. I prefer the controls of the Wii version, some people prefer the lock on in the GC version. Some sequence breaking stuff has been patched out in the Wii version, it's worth noting. Do you think you'll enjoy lock-on or free aim combat more?
I missed this one first time, sorry, but yeah, like someone else said, when the meteor hit the planet, the phazon and the Light energy colliding tore a rift in space that created Dark Aether.
Is it worth playing through Federation Force's single player mode?
In the spinoff comic, "Samus and Joey", does anything interesting happen beyond someone getting shot in the opening or was I pretty right to drop it? The artstyle is pretty annoying.
Everyone knows about AM2R, but are there other fangames out there worth checking out?
motion controls suck. the game cube versions are superior.
