I use OSRSWiki actually, nigger!

Also Monkey Madness was so fucking boring and ahem, fuck Revenant Cave PKers.

>try to do quest on my own
>it takes so long I feel like I'm wasting time I could be using to grind skills so I look up a guide
Realizing how fucked up that is is partly why I stopped playing.

Attached: 1558688819821.png (401x341, 45K)

I already did all that shit a decade ago. I'm just trying to quickly get back to where my account was back then.

It’s a videogame not a contest.
The more time you spend on it is supposed to be a good thing you adhd riddled zoomer

see

What got me to stop was when I was grinding and I finally realized
>once I get done grinding this then I can do this
>and when that is done then I can grind this
>and grind that
>and eventually grind high enough to get 99
Made me take a quick look at my life and realized that shitposting on Yea Forums is actually more productive.

The final tipping point for me was when Sekiro came out and I stopped spending all day grinding in RS to play it. Then I was hit with the sudden revelation that video games can be something I enjoy playing for the fun gameplay and not just to make numbers go up.

I did this when I played. When you're deep in a quest, finding out you needed some mundane item like rope is the worst

At what age does one finally faze out of playing runescape

Never, brother. Never. We'll play this masterpiece until we die.

To me I think the fun part is making gp, and just the sense of progression from doing pretty much anything. That's kind of it. I got to combat level 60 and got bored

I only ever looked up what items I was going to need so I wouldn't have to keep banking, unless I was too much of a brainlet to figure out puzzles

Fuck Elemental Workshop 3

>didn't bring the right items
>gathering the item takes ages
>quest rewards are bad
Questing in runescape is a fucking nightmare

At least you realized it, most RS players haven't

You have the wrong mindset.
Go push a button for food you rat

But at least you feel like a real adventurer.
Also how do you not start every quest with a tinderbox, rope and spade?

>Go push a button for food you rat
That's pretty much what video games as a whole are

This, in OSRS grinding is the fun part and questing is the grind.

Do you know what abstract thinking is?

I was 12 around then, but I'd totally do something like that now

Why the fuck would you play Runescape 3?

>start a quest with some NPC
>you cannot look up how strong enemies will be anymore
>have to check wiki otherwise you will end up running to bank for every single item
No, just no.

I too hate fun

>running to the same places x time in row is fun
Fuck off.

>Look up all the items I'll need before a quest
>Carefully manage an inventory filled with the necessary items and other essentials like food for combat/runes/emergency teleport etc
>Get half way through the quest, deep into some hard-to-reach area full of annoying traps, puzzles and riddles
>Check wiki for next part
>And now you need to now pick up the sixteen orange peels scattered across the dungeon and keep them for the npc at the end of the 90% failure rate agility obstacle course who has randomised questions about lines of dialogue you skipped earlier in the quest

Attached: No hope.jpg (358x350, 40K)

>quest guy tells you he needs some tuna
>god how horrible it is to get that tuna so much better to just finish every step in one click

>Have to backtrack all the way to the fucking bank several times cause you forgot some rope or some shit
Fuck that shit.

I too hate having a sense of accomplishment

Ah, Underground Pass. Fuck agility as a whole.

>It's a no one has any fucking idea what the fuck is going on quest

Attached: The Eyes of Glouphrie.png (768x503, 230K)

>game with teleports to literally very corner of the map and every city
>gets angry at backtracking a little

Honestly the monkey madness slide shit was worse

>It's a "you have to return to the Canifis/Morytania for a quest update and then go through this entire godforsaken gauntlet all over again" quest

Attached: Meiyerditch.png (1359x715, 1.1M)

Wasnt a certain number for each color per number of sides of each shape?

After dozens of clue scrolls?

>just place the crystals bro
>just bring supplies for a million level 70 enemies
>just bring agility gear to clear the worst obstacle in all the game
>remember to have space in your bags for the crystals duh
Whose fucking idea was this?

Attached: 1549284591304.png (600x569, 272K)

Oh but don't worry, they'll give you a "shortcut" key that saves maybe 3 seconds at the end of the gauntlet

Because the rewards are worth the challenge

That's a lie

Attached: death rune price.png (591x231, 7K)

>Not using the wiki

Attached: unknown.png (831x830, 27K)

Honestly it’s more forgveable to use guides on clue scrolls because of the utter amount you’re going to end up doing and the fact there’s no plot you’re trying to follow

>did Dragon Slayer 2 earlier this week without a guide thinking it would be a long and painstaking process
>mfw the only things that really hampered my progress were boss attacks I didn't know about and having to go back to get something like a pickaxe to mine through a wall
Honestly the whole thing felt a lot more immersive and rewarding

Gonna do Monkey Madness 2 in a few days without a guide as well

Attached: 1425162702129.jpg (1600x900, 140K)

Runehq is run by insecure buttmad faggots who think the wiki is out to get them

It's pretty funny especially considering nobody uses runehq anymore

Using a guide is justified in this one or else you gonna waste millions in praypots and food.

were*

I heard you like mazes

I appreciate the lore but most of the elf related quests were fucking bullshit. not sure why jagex loves their puzzles so much

what was that site called? zybez or some shit?
i remember it getting blacklisted because they began advertising all of the injectors and bots and shit that completely took over RS for like 3 years straight
anyway i used to be one of the cucks there making the guides, glad i got out of that shit

remember when quests were actually challenging and interesting?
right about the time i quit quests had become so shitty you didn't even have to think, there was obvious world objects and nothing else, you didn't even need to bring tools and shit, the game just provided oyu them for fucking free...then added a toolbelt anyway
last quest i saw was some shitty portal puzzle one that involved using chess moves to move around a room or something like that, it was so obvious it was painful
still found a bunch of cucks sucking off mod nancy or whatever about how challenging it was, jesus fucking christ

>try to do quest on my own
>go talk to NPC(s)
>tells me to bring items
>running back and forth grabbing items
>if using wiki I can grab all items needed before quest
I DON'T WANT TO USE THE WIKI BUT HOLY SHIT I DON'T WANT TO BE STOPPED BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A PIE OR A GEM

Miss me, user?

Attached: ghorrock.png (643x643, 142K)

Thank God I quit before all this Gods Questline bullshit started.

>you needed a guide to do elemental workshop? yikes

>You need to place the chimp ice on the ground and cast an ice spell on it every minute as you run across the world

Some of those quest objectives were just bullshit

You didn't kill the wrong one last right?

Attached: Tedium.png (1280x800, 1.06M)

I fuck something up every time I try to do quests without a guide

what quest is this?

>go get tuna
>now guys ask for trout
>go get a trout
>now he asks for willow logs
>go get willow logs
>turns out imps stole his cooking pot
>go to get it back
>turns out there is some puzzle
>go back to get items
>and so on
fucking idiot

>like OSRS
>miss dungeoneering
>miss resource dungeons
>miss skill urns
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

>he enjoys the worst quests in MMOs

>npc in a certain quest asks for a stew
>already have it in inventory
>special dialogue triggers
>player character says they have a stew right here
>npc says "well that's suspiciously convenient!"
I love this stupid fucking game

i think i used it for draculas mansion and the dragon slayer quest because i didn't want to go in and fucking die to lose my rune armor

Attached: f13f1970e07f7c91c4ee642595a9e25b.gif (696x428, 3.51M)

>You carry [item] in with you all the time?
>>''Its one of my hobbies!''
Cant remember which quest had a dialogue like that but made me loss my shit.

Sliske's Endgame, a finale of sorts to a massive line of quests that had been going on forever. You had to trudge through a monotonous, garbage maze for hours before finally reaching the end, which had a challenging (depending on your level) multiple-phase boss battle against the eponymous Sliske character.

>Doesn't just follow a guide to save time
>Tells other people to get laid
Literally have sex.

>the new dialogue for Doric's quest
Jagex loves poking fun at people who read guides

>bye
man middle school was fucking something with the bants on runescape of all fucking games. i hardly remember when i quit but trimmed armor was a thing and dragon scimitar was the good shit.

So why he killed Guthix and forced Gods to kill on each other?
Please tell is not a ''we live in a society'' motives.

Attached: joker not amused.png (424x425, 319K)

imp catcher
NPC tells player you're strange for carrying 4 different beads all the time in hopes of speaking to the right person in all of Runescape to return them to

all the free 2 play quests were fun. trying to get into the members only area quests doesn't sound like fun catching up too. black knight fortress was dope though

seriously

Attached: What the fuck.png (513x334, 53K)

I also noticed that Making Friends With My Arm teases you if you already have the cadava berries when you hit up the apothecary for a coma potion, he says "That's very clever. I hope you've got a real feeling of pride and satisfaction from that."

But that one doesn't really make sense because you already knew you were going to get a potion to send him into a coma

It's fun as a kid but adults have no patience for needlessly cryptic shit like "use a knife you have no reason to have in your inventory on that unassuming ground prop you ran past 3 hours ago".

Because they were cryptic as shit and absolute FUCKING nonsense everywhere.
Just fuck off with those quests. Garbage.
Absolutely hated questing in RS, but it was necessary to unlock a lot

You are the majority. Don't like the vocal autists on Yea Forums tell you otherwise. I don't know a single person who even remotely enjoys questing in RS.

>Yea Forums thinks Runescape's quests/puzzles are hard

Attached: Grim_Fandango_artwork.jpg (256x341, 130K)

Based Spoopy Manlet
Puzzles were less bullshit than Monkey Island at least.

Hard and bad aren't synonymous.

Attached: Dill.png (1288x1051, 641K)

>It's a 'I know what to do but can't figure out how to do it in game' puzzle.
I love the game still.

>this fucking room in Recruitment Drive

how the fuck were you supposed to figure this shit out on your own?

Attached: misscheevers.png (512x334, 48K)

>that puzzle where you have to fill up balloons with grease to clog up the delivery system
No really

How in the fuck was I supposed to figure that out

before the guide you had to go look up what each of the chemicals did in real life then try to apply it in the game

That’s a poorly designed quest then.
Have a problem with the quest instead of thinking that means you need to use a guide for everything.
90% won’t have you going back to the bank more than say twice which is totally reasonable

>New content is released
>Locked behind quest content
>Requires you to level up some skills and experience the world
>Get to use this cool new shit like ancient magicks or fairy ring teleports
>Advance random ass storylines you don't care about or remember because different quests are years apart and across different level bands
>Feel accomplished

Versus how they do it nowadays where they just release something new like the lost grove that has a doa minigame and some pointless slayer mobs, or the land out of time where it has 2 doa minigames and some pointless slayer mobs, or elite dungeons which did get a shitty quest eventually is a complete disconnect from regular RS content, or Menaphos where it has a month's long time lock on accessing some really dull quests and a few slayer mobs, or the eastern lands which...did it even offer any slayer mobs?

I wish they still cared about making quests.

The fuck I loved the questing...

>tfw got super embarrassed that you had to turn into a woman to finish the quest

Anyway, 15 years later I have a gender bender fetish

Apparently you'll never be assigned a dragon task if you don't finish the Dragon Slayer quest

yeah but how will you do ANY SLAYER AT ALL without rune plate

*Horse noises*

use ranged
you can use blue/red/black d'hide without doing dslayer

fighter torso

okay but how am i supposed to do any of that when my character was created without arms?

Worst quest in the game after Rat Catchers.
Dragon Slayer 2 was superb, I thought. When you're leaping across the ships, dodging dragonfire and the main menu theme kicks in, felt like a real adventure.

Is OSRS worth playing and fun?

>without rune plate
magic and ranged exist, almost every dungeon has something you can hide behind also... rune chainbody doesn't require any questing and most monsters attack with crush so its perfect for melee

Beat it, cal

I hate monkey madness so much.

Nice one Yea Forums, really got me bamboozled.

The 77 agility requirement for Ritual of the Mahjarrat was and will always be a bullshit questing gating decision. Doing Ape Atoll course runs was absolute hell, everyone despised the skill. It was funny, Runescape was a game thriving with autists, but even amongst the autism, when you saw a guy wearing an agility skillcape, you just knew he was a special case.

Fuck agility was a garbage skill, and not only that, Jagex had the temerity to make it one of the most arduous, slowest skills in the game to train.

it is pretty sandboxy and the progression is neat, it isn't everybody's cup of tea but I think it's pretty enjoyable, almost everything you accomplish slightly changes the way you're able to play and by the time you're mid/high level the game is fundamentally different to play than when you were new
you're constantly unlocking shortcuts/transportation methods/conveniences/quality of life upgrades and it can be addictive

>playing while I was a stupid kid
>didn't use any guides or look anything up
>exploring port sarim before school one day
>find some guy that will take me on a boat for money
>be the first in my friend group to discover Karamja
>no one at school would believe me
those were the days

>actually like the new god wars storyline and other stuff
>stop playing because game is a treadmill laden with whale baiting shit and story will have only moved a few inches forward in 20 years
turns out he was a pawn of Jas, forget if they explained exactly why he did all the god bullshit though

>not maxing agility first
Literally the most important skill in the game, being able to run everywhere with zero downtime and using all the shortcuts.

>agility
>more important than construction
enjoy running everywhere while I teleport anywhere I want without burning extra resources

>THIS FREE TO PLAY VERSION OF THE GAME HAS 90% OF THE CONTENT FOR MEMBERS ONLY
>HAHA YOU ALMOST FOOLED ME INTO THINKING THIS WAS A GOOD GAME
Yikes!
FortNite sounds more like your kinda game then friend

This quest wasn't even hard. The level requirements were complete "pulled out of our ass just to justify it being a Master" though.

>construction
you buy bonds with your parents credit card and sell them for ingame currency in order to fund all that shit user?

I quit before construction was added. The game was turned into garbage after that.

Attached: 1503790271818.jpg (638x716, 209K)

>I know, let's make a boss where only the environment can damage it in any meaningful way
Boss fight was literally the biggest bullshit imaginable. You don't even need a weapon or any real combat stuff. Just tank armor and food.

I've read a few times on Yea Forums that RuneScape has great quest design. Like, some guy asked what game has best quest design and someone replied "RuneScape" and got a bunch of "This"es. I only ever played on F2P so can't really judge, some quests were fun, but wouldn't consider any of them particularly good. Can someone give an example of a" great" quest from RS and explain what makes it great?

I just wish that the game wasn't so prone to making the player kick themselves for not following a guide in retrospect.

>Didn't follow a guide during Monkey Island?
>Fucking lol, enjoy all the entirely avoidable backtracking and hassle with greegrees, because you didn't go above and beyond during Monkey Madness and do more than the quest even asked of the player.

Still, eh, I try to avoid guides even in spite of this. It's fun treating each quest as its own little point-and-click adventure game, and I don't want puzzle spoilers for that kind of thing.

naw I farmed ranarrs for cash and worked on slayer and spent all of my gp on either bonds or construction until I was the level needed to make the spellbook swap altar
construction was my highest leveled skill at one point and I have zero regrets

>that week of pure anarchy when barrows was first added
>everyone camping that axe guy's room collecting free shit from clueless retards who got 1 shot by him at low hp

Attached: 1502496582292.png (500x500, 205K)

Yeah but unless you did Romeo and Juliet, there is really no way of knowing how to make a coma potion. And who tf has done that nonquest since its lost its questhood

Dying in Runescape was so fucking brutal. I've never played another game where you could lose literal year's worth of progress in items because of some bullshit like that.

>defending a pay-2-play game

Attached: hmm frog.jpg (190x190, 29K)

>OSRS
>user dies
>has an hour to get his loot back
FUCK JAGEX, this shit is stupid and makes the game have absolutely ZERO (0) risk

they made it like that forever ago because the servers were getting fucked by DDoS attacks and they just never changed it back for whatever reason

You have to do it to even be able to do Making Friends With My Arm, though

To be fair this mechanic was added at a time where servers were constantly under DDoS attacks and you couldn't do anything slightly risky without getting fucked over.

After the attacks stopped people got too used to the 1 hour timer and it just stuck.

I got my first dragon medium helm and abyssal whip through that, but I was running barrows on a low pop server and wasn't expecting to find anyone else. My asshole clenched so tight when I saw all that loot appear next to me and I had no inventory room to carry any of it.

Mournings end pt 2 can kiss my ass

I kind of wish I had done monkey madness on my own but getting into the city was stressful as fuck

The best quest in F2P is easily Dragon Slayer. It also has the highest requirements.

Some good, not too high level members quests include Fremennik Trials, Murder Mystery, Waterfall, In Aid of the Myreque

it's all fun and games until you have teleport out to buy some random item and then walk all the way back.

>tfw you'll never again get to experience the pure dread of dying and dropping a ton of valuables somewhere far away because your shit no longer takes 5 minutes to appear

Attached: 1473240734906.png (889x914, 51K)

The quest to get into that Shiloh village place was pretty based too.

Yes, that's a good one too.

Honestly, there aren't many quests I would consider outright bad, except for Mourning's End 2, Workshop 2, and most of the nu quests

>all this skipping
Why even bother doing slayer at all if you hate it so much
Oh to see numbers go up

Monkey Madness is great because it has good puzzle elements and awesome progression. It puts you on an incredibly hostile tropical island full of poisonous snakes and high level ranged monkey units and requires a fair amount of stealth and spying before you find a way to blend in and move unnoticed
Fremennik Trials has you do a bunch of trials to gain entry into a secluded society of Vikings, has a lot of neat puzzles and fun dialogue
Rag and Bone Man/Wishlist has you travel across the entirety of the map to find specific animal bones. Doing it guideless just off memory of what animal/creature is where is really enjoyable in my opinion

Easiest way to tell smart/experienced players from retards whenever a new monster/zone/quest was introduced.

Retard: Shows up in his best armor with his best weapon, hoping it'll be enough to pull through.

Veteran: Shows up in cheap ass set of armor with mediocre weapon, knowing that there's a fair-to-likely chance some bullshit from out of nowhere will kill him and he'll lose everything he's carrying but it's fine because he can easily afford a thousand more shit armor sets and just wants to test the waters and see what he's facing before risking any valuables.

Wealthy Veteran: Shows up in most expensive armor and weapon in the game and doesn't care about dying because he's a wallstreet fag that practices arbitrage with party hats and can instantly buy whatever the fuck he wants, and because of this blows through the new content faster than anyone else (and ironically makes MORE money because they were the first to farm new items that sold for a gorillion gp on trade servers).

Honestly, aside from the grind, Runescape was an amazing game in terms of player interactions, economy, and high level questing/combat/wilderness PVP.

Attached: 1559651026052.png (426x378, 69K)

Wasn't dragon slayer necessary for wearing the best armor F2P players had access to?

I hate quests and I hate the shitty, cringe dialog in almost all of them whenever I do stop to read it. In fact it's gotten so bad with having to do quests to do any fucking bit of new content that I just stopped playing osrs entirely.

Arbitrage was my fucking jam. I spent more time raking in millions flipping items in trade than I did playing the actual game.

yes but the dragon slayer quest has no slayer requirements because it's a f2p quest

>go through long ass section in a quest
>NPC needs items that you can't obtain in the area forcing you to leave and come back AGAIN
Yeah fuck doing monkey madness blind

>Rejoined game last year.
>Didn't know about all the drop on death changes that have happened since I dropped the game in late 2007.
>Doing some slayer tasks, get assigned kalphites.
>Go down into the caves, afraid to take risks, kill some of the level 40ish ones for a while.
>This is torture
>Try the level 80 ones
>It's a multicombat zone and I'm not loaded with prayer pots and stuff, but I do have some good armor.
>Go with dragon chainbody + platelegs, whip, and dragon defender, occasionally swap to full Guthan's when my HP begins to drop low, but I don't want to have it on all the time.
>Some IRL thing steals my attention hard, like an oven I had forgotten about or something.
>Come back ten minutes later
>I'm in Lumbridge, naked
>PANICK
>Oh fuck oh fuck I still have my whip and the d chainbody and (I think) Guthan's Spear, but everything else is gone.
>Millions of GP lost when I'm bad at making money
>No idea about the loot changes still.
>Sulking, drag my feet to the bank, eventually decide to go back and finish the slayer task since my gem says I died with only a few to go.
>HOLY FUCK ARE THOSE MY PLATELEGS AND IS THAT OTHER STUFF THERE TOO OH MY GOD THANK JESUS
I'm not gonna lie, it saved my ass so hard here that things have changed, but yeah, not many games can make the player feel that much loss all at once for their own mistakes.

>all this skipping
don't skip on monsters who offer unique drops only obtainable when they're a slayer assignment
don't skip on monsters who have superior forms
don't skip on monsters in the slayer tower
don't skip on bosses

anything else is a skip

>don't do the majority of the skill
>oMg iLoV slAyuR durr

>people shit on dungeoneering
>say it's not a skill
Let's take a look at Slayer:
- Go to NPC and get assigned a literal TASK
- Overwhelming majority of monsters assigned can be fought off task, making tasks arbitrary
- An unironic point system
- Unique rewards only bought through points
- Randomized drops
Please tell me how Slayer is anymore of a skill than Dungeoneering. I'll wait

shut the fuck up

are they still spending 90% of their budget on that shitty """"permadeath"""" (except not permanent) mode which gets DDOSd every single time they run it till some clan wins anyway and defeats the purpose by throwing 800 people at it till they win just by sheer numbers?

On top of that, why do most slayer monsters require a slayer level to fight? If they don't require special gear to be engaged/killed then there really is no difference than non-slayer monsters and skill-locking them is completely arbitrary.

yep, Jagex is trying to make Runescape into an E-sports thing and keeps fucking up

What a fucking waste, man. They made osrs and saw enormous success, and ran to make another brand new mode instead of fostering it. so disappointing.

I did all of the quests on my ironmeme without a guide.

runescape and maplestory, i could live out my life with those two games

>going to wilderness the first time with nothing but prayer robes and rune 2h because robes are cheap as fuck and can save your 2h if you get skulled
that was fun. having full rune back then was very scary.
also why i would always want to level blacksmithing and mining so i can just make my armor again

>remember having to sell lobsters to players in person with tickets
>now i can just throw shit on the gp and someone eventually buys it
honestly not gonna lie i like that change. even the possbility of not having to sell bronze shit to npc for spare change because people will buy the bars anyway

that's the most NEET thing i've read all day

what if I only look at the required items?

I'm fine with problem solving, thats my favorite part, but hitting a wall and having to run back to a bank or GE or wherever you need to go to get a specific item you need to progress can be extremely fucking time consuming

I personally think it takes great autism to play Runescape. I don't even want to know how far gone someone is to want to play Ironman mode. Like it's not even that you don't have a life, it's that you hate whatever you call your equivalence of a life.

I couldn't even bring myself to be autistic enough to grind any skill to 99, I can't imagine some of the comp cape fag's rooms

fuck it dude

Attached: Paul_denino_13-01-19.jpg (640x905, 135K)

It really is a good qol change. It seems like a bad thing at first, but most people fail to realize that even in 07-08 most people were doing their trading on sals or tipit or zybez. when OSRS came back, almost 90% of trading was done on zybez. You had people at varrock west bank, but there was no one in fally park, or at the fally banks, nothing was coordinated like in the old days, if you wanted anything that wasn't food or runes you pretty much had to go on zybez anyway. GE is a godsend.

this. some stuff like when agility was introduce i couldn't be assed to sit there for fucking hours swinging on a branch for piss poor exp. i'm sure its easier now but i haven't touched runescape since the cannon thing was introduced and all we had were dragon med helms, scimitars and daggers
my shit was all over the place but thankfully ii could just stop doing agility and do other autistic shit like fish and make money, or use the lobsters to farm mobs for a drag med helm

Hit 2.1k ironman on osrs and realized that since I had near max gear all that was left was pouring 1000’s of hours into getting 3-4 remaining gear upgrades and skills like rc to 99 so I stopped playing

this game in middle school was my shit but i wouldn't tell a soul that i played it.
i just like the idea of being self-sustainable faggot who can make runes to use to level magic autistically. or get smithing and mining up to make my own armor or make money to buy shit i might need.
this game did a lot right.

the self-sustaining nature was one of my favorite parts of runescape. Too bad MUH IRONMAN now means enemies drop everything you'd ever need and crafting is fucking worthless.

>whoops accidently dropped the trade
>heres your rune scimitar bro
game was the wild west

Attached: Mithril_scimitar_detail.png (908x906, 26K)

i returned for brief nostalgia and saw that mode and cannot wrap my mind around doing something like that in a game where tons of shit can just outright kill you. stuff seriously drops a lot from enemies in that mode besides small pocket change and bones?

>having to run back to a bank or GE or wherever you need to go to get a specific item you need to progress can be extremely fucking time consuming
The thing is, Runescape is such a time consuming game to BEGIN with, especially with most activities that level up your skills, which you're going to spend a good deal of time on even if you play the game more casually like I do. Surely acquiring items to complete quests is a drop in the bucket

they didn't make it drop only for ironmen, everything drops everything now. Most enemies past level 80 or so drop rune gear so you'll never ever use smithing for anything, enemies drop bis gear, healing items, runes, everything. You literally never need to do anything but fight shit start to finish, to get god tier equipment and setups. You can even get herbs and potions by doing slayer now, because most endgame slayer masters have "chests" that you open that give you either gp directly, or assloads of herbs/potions/food.

it's not that it's difficult, it's that it's a fucking stupid waste of time to bring items somewhere, only to get told "oh btw I need a spade" while the nearest bank is a good 5 minute run away, and there's no nearby tele.

i dont know how i feel about this. the autistic leveling is the best part even for cooking.

>tfw you once bought a choco-ice off of someone for 100k in varrock west bank because the person selling it implied it was super rare
>"huh, I've literally never seen it before so it must be rare"
>do Spirits of the Elid like a week later
>mfw some random merchant is selling it for like 200gp a pop

I think the only thing that comes close to being as bad is when I bought yak-hide armor for 50k the very same day Fremennik Isles came out in varrock east bank

Attached: Yuno.jpg (350x359, 25K)

But how is that different from having to run between a bank and your skilling spot over and over again?

You CAN do that stuff if you want, but the question becomes "why bother"? You can grind out fishing and cooking to be able to cook sharks efficiently, but you can just get sara brew 4s from monsters instead. You could level up mining and smithing to make a rune scimmy, or you can just kill this monster and get it within 20 kills. Etc etc. They removed the need for almost all of the skills in the game by changing drop tables so much, and adding in so much bis shit. Getting smithing to 80, which takes a pretty fucking long time, lets you start making rune shit. But rune shit isn't even close to mid tier gear anymore, it's just unbelievable shite.

Because I'm training a skill, i'm getting something out of a skill.
Imagine driving your car all the way to the store, then being told you need a stamp you've never needed before to get in. That's how retarded arbitrary quest item requirements are.
And frankly that's one of the huge things rs3 has over osrs. the tool belt is just a god tier addition.

yeah i notice that rune armor isn't the best anymore and its this weird fucking armor i haven't seen and honestly, the simplistic armor design was a good part to me but now everything looks like WoW gear.

Absolutely love working out quests by myself. You're doing yourself a disservice if you ruin quests like what the op is talking about

i did it intensely for the dragon slayer quest. fuck losing almost full rune to whatever bullshit that would happen. i see fuckers chilling by the gate hoping you die.

I wish the real world worked like runescape
Want to learn how to draw? Just walk into the nearest artschool, spend hours grinding and get slightly better then go to the store and sell my stack of shitty worthless drawings, get bored, talk to some Guy who asks me to do some random shit for the test of the day, somehow get xp from that and try to get some children to drop their stuff on the ground and go away so i can steal it

It just had its "last" season and has been put on an a hiatus for the time being.

no I used zybez.

>Luring people to caves to have bugs eat them so you can steal their pants and money

it's simple, you're not playing correctly
actively focusing on the game is not how you grind. you do something far more entertaining and leave runescape open semi-afk in the background. I got 99 while I was watching entire seasons of shows I enjoyed on netflix with very minimal user input

Just beat this cunt this week. Was shitting myself when I messed up a prayer flick.

Anyone know what the rewards of Song of the Elves is going to be?

i was in middle school. the idea of dual monitors didn't come over me with using aol for the internet.

elf rings, they give temporary stat buffs if you activate them while you have a stab weapon equipped

>no no no, in order to play the game you have to NOT play the game
Clown world

don't need dual monitors

play or don't, just make sure you're doing it the right way

>implying
It's a waste of time. Video games should be enjoyed as quick as possible because life is short and you don't have the time to keep playing one game with artificial difficulty.

To be fair, some of the quests are absolutely atrocious without information.
Hell, even if they are perfectly easy to solve, they usually involve shit-tons of back and forth travel + items you probably don't have at hand.

I almost never looked up answers to puzzles, riddles and the like, but vague shit like "find a guy who knows" is where I drew the line

>you have to NOT play the game
but you are playing the game, there's alternative methods so you don't burn yourself out from grinding

literally, the only quest i would never fault people for guiding is MEP2.
because it's the only quest i ever cheated with a guide

Imagine being a pizzaboy and climbing 6+ km to the top of mount everest and then hearing "Oh hey, you forgot the pizza I ordered"
That's what runescape questing feels like.

yeah, it did suck, not having that one dumb ass item, so you had to tele out, and trek all the way. But it was still fun.

wait holy shit. I just figured it out. All the trannies popping up were old enough to play runescape. They all played that quest and are now today's newest fad.

until you realize how much money and time you wasted because you weren't prepared

>money
i mean, if you're a turbo-pleb who lived off cow hides or flax, sure. But for everyone else that wasn't a brainlet, a few wasted law runes wasn't a big deal.

Dead man mode? That was so fucking great.
>last day of event, whole thing is streamed live all day
>death fog ala battle royale starts herding people closer and closer to each other
>final elimination round starts, players get teleported to a part of the world and paired off for a bunch of simultaneous 1v1s
>except the part of the world they get teled to is a part of the world covered in death fog they forgot to remove
>hundreds of people who spent hundreds of hours getting where they are immediately die and lose all their gear and levels
>the live stream goes dark for almost two hours while jagex scrambles behind the scenes to fix things
>meanwhile social media and twitch chats at losing their shit
>they can't roll it back completely, so they rez everyone that died and give them generic gear
>some people got gear upgrades they didn't have, vast majority of people were massively downgraded

>tfw dc is braindead easy but inferno requires nearly 1b in gear to do if you’re not perfect at pray flicks

>complete RFD
>no desire to do quests anymore
>got firecape and 85+in combat stats

I do puzzles on my own, but you're out of your mind if you think I'm not going to use a guide to figure out what items to bring first. I'm an iron man teleports are at a premium.

any games with runescape-like quests?
fuck that ten bear asses shit

>notice you need to keep backtracking for similar items no matter what the quest seems to be
>bring those items along with you for your quests
Holy shit it actually was like an adventure also
>see the requirements of a quest or what the quest is named
>bring items that could be associated
or even
>see where the quest is going to take you based on npc discussion and bring items you think you would need
Monkey madness shits on all of these things though.

Take a break from the game

It's a hybrid of point and click adventure games and crpgs. Every other MMO is too busy sucking wow's dick despite Runescape having tons of untapped potential.

not that i know of, and it really is amazing.
Runescape has been completely ripe for cloning/inspiring new mmos for ages now, and no one even tries. They just relentlessly hurt themselves with trying to clone WoW, or have some huge gimmick that they can't possibly hope to implement fully.

>dragon slayer
>monkey madness
>underground pass
>mourning's end
>desert treasure
>one small favour
soul

>Swan Song
>entire gnome questline
>HAM questline
RS unironically has more good quests than bad quests.

>Those "co-adventurers"
RS3 was a mistake

Man I hope they don't fuck up song of the elves. Been waiting twenty years to get into priff

>moritania quest lines drops
>instead of an adventure, the place looks like a disneyland themepark with lines and 6000 people doing the same quest, removing any hint of atmosphere

Have OS put out a single good quest yet?
I gave up on them after the abominiation that was MM2, even if the final boss fight was bretty cool.

Any tips for jad for the first time? Should prolly dry run just to see what's going on

youtube.com/watch?v=BJhF0L7pfo8

No. It's all the same appeal to their reddit fanbase, difficulty for its own sake, awful writing, and misguided attempt to shoehorn in "action" gameplay.

I'm just glad the Elf Questline is finally ending. All of them are tedious and annoying as fuck.
Wish we could just burn down the elf lands and underground pass.

Just look up Jad spawns and pay attention to the sounds/animations. Jad is easy, probably the hardest part is lucking out on rng with a good spawn along with taking out the healers. Aggro a healer then resume to attacking Jad, rinse and repeat. Switch between healers and Jads while paying attention to his attacks for flicking.

>Take note of where the orange 360 mager spawns, jad will also spawn in that spot.
>Play with sounds on and look up the sounds for his mage and ranged attacks, pray accordingly/
>Don't panic when healers spawn, attack each one to lure them, one by one, prayer switching is your MAIN priority.

That's all, it's pretty easy fren unless you're Mat K

The only acceptable quest guides are item guides. Puzzles are fun to figure out on your own unless you're an efficiencytard who shouldn't even be playing the game, but if you have to constantly go back and forth for items it's gay.

>youtube.com/watch?v=RH5rEvxFLvM&t
>youtube.com/watch?v=J9tiYzEpaW4
>gets progressively worse

The vast majority of fetch quests in Runescape are relatively streamlined if you pay attention and talk to NPCs.

>runehq
>not 2000s sal's realm

nah, he means the part of quests where you need RANDOM_ITEM, but had absolutely no way of knowing you'd need it then. So you'd have to walk out, tele out, and walk all the way back. Or for a boss fight like that dumb ass fucking scarab one where you had to run through the dungeon levels.

>devs confirmed they're adding a light puzzle even longer than mep2
Fucks sake

Attached: 1495199963155.png (255x182, 90K)

>Sal's realm
Fuck I used to post there

I liked most of the updated RS3 music, although Sea Shanty 2 is one of the few that are worse

>underground pass
Am I the only one who likes that quest? The agility bits weren’t that bad and the lore/demons fights was very interesting.

>you have to connect and reconnect crystals at points all across the world
some even require going underground

>Song of The Elves is out in 10 days

Attached: handholds.png (1433x796, 1.3M)

nah most of Yea Forums love underground pass, even when bitching about it.
It's one of the most definitive runescape quests/ quests in general because it really gave a sense of adventure.

>tickets
You were already spoiled.

I'm fine with this, my transportation network is almost perfect and my house is functionally maxed out, travel is nothing to me

>There's still no other MMO quite like Runescape
Feels bad, I resubbed for about half a year and got as far as getting abyssal whip/fighter torso but just got tired of it

I just want a comfy tongue in cheek MMO with cool areas like the Wildy, it's such a shame that such a unique game has been taken over by incompetent fucks

Attached: why.jpg (1280x720, 31K)

all with dangerous enemies constantly attacking you, and there's no safe spots until you finish

unless it bars you from entering your house its still fine, house is a permanent safespot even if you die over and over in it

It literally makes no sense in the grand scheme of the lore. It's supposed to be a bridge between the elf series and plague series but connects to neither.

That's why I love it. The whole thing with Iban is its own, self-contained story

Dragon slayer 2 was good
And mm2 outside of the platform was fine really

>ywn relive early 2000s runescape
osrs just doesn't fill the same void lads...

Attached: 1556516303725.jpg (640x632, 37K)

sorry bro, but it's you that's changed

Attached: xajnn6roidi11.png (587x1000, 317K)

CHESTBRAH.

randomly generated shit for major parts of quests really bug me. Especially in runescape of all games where 95% is hand-crafted. Plus it unironically lacked the charm and writing of the originals. And they didn't bother including chapter cards with "In which our hero ..." text like the originals.

So how do you guys feel about Zeah overall?

Attached: 1558846223018.jpg (450x600, 98K)

I actually liked the idea that they were going to segregate most of the major new content in one place far off the map so that purist oldfags like me could ignore it if we chose. But now that idea is completely out the window, so screw that

LTB is interesting but the creator is reddit as fuck

shit.
they had all the time in the world, and they still fucked it up.
>b-but it's getting fixed!
i honestly don't think OSRS has anyone on the team with actual design sense. Sure, Ash can program, and Ghost and his lackeys can make decent art. But good lord, they can't design anything decent.

What part of those two quests is rng?honestly I’ve done them each 3-4 times and I’m not sure which pet your referencing especially since ds2 is pretty simple and straight forward
I would agree though that mm2 lacks the charm mm1 has though but I’m biased since mm1 is my goat

I can appreciate the newer content they added but I still don't like the continent or the lore for some reason.

The game is essentially just slayerscape now. Even post 99 slayer. The most efficient way to play would be to just get your combat lvl to 100 through nmz then just do slayer forever

it's more content, which is pretty much always welcome
one thing I absolutely hate about RS3 or whatever it's called now is most of the wooded areas or empty areas are jam packed with bullshit
zeah lets them add more stuff but keeps the original continent more pure so it's fine in my book

The part where you have to find Kruk, you can either take the agility path, or the tank path with all the spawning monsters. The path differs for every player.
And yes, i realize other quests do it similar to try to not be guidable. But it still felt sterile and lazy.

The favor system is still annoying as fuck.

>I just want a comfy tongue in cheek MMO
Fucking hell, finally someone else who misses this kind of fantasy. The LotR movies started this trend of super serious no-fun-allowed fantasy and now GoT has gone and extended it for another couple of decades. I have a serious pining for any piece of media that has this 'drunken semi-serious D&D session' atmosphere that Runescape was teeming with. Novels, radio dramas, vidya, I will take literally anything.

Attached: banan.png (1920x1080, 1.63M)

Yeah I get what you mean. I also found out after doing it multiple times that there is zero (zero) reason to ever choose the tank path. The agility one takes fewer supplies and is objectively faster.

slayer is definitely bullshit OP, but if they nerf it at this point so many people would reeeeee on reddit and threaten to quit so it'll probably never happen

Since Prif is finally being added, think they'll tackle Menaphos next?
Also how about Karamja? They haven't done anything major with it unless you consider the Tzhaar a part of it.

Attached: 507px-Menaphos_concept_art_2.jpg (507x285, 27K)

LotR was fun user.

You'd love Discworld if you haven't already read some of the series. And it's even more out there than Runescape, and written by a brit.

Tolkien stuff was still quite fun in general, but I agree otherwise.

I think the movie adaptations of his work leaned too far into serious sometimes, but his original works, especially The Hobbit, were super goofy.

Doubt the OS team want to mimic 3 that hard, but who knows.

Compared to fantasy that was popular immediately before it and the books themselves, not it wasn't.

Jagex is just killing their own game
>add bp so range is now far and away the most op combat style for all things pve
>proceed to add tbow

>slayer is already the meta for every aspect of the game and is head and shoulders above any other thing in the game outside of maybe 3 man CoX which you only really do post 99 slayer anyway
>add konar slayer, hydra AND slayer chests
Fucking why?

I could see Raids 3 taking place in Menaphos. It's the last blank space i can think of in OSRS so it's probably inevitable they'll do it soon.

I wish they added in a contract/jobs system that's a mix of the GE and item lending. The GE is a godsend but it's pretty faceless. Hashing out a deal face to face is something I find myself missing.

Runescape is a PERFECT example of why you NEVER let MMO players design your game, or be in charge of added content. RS was at its peak when Jagex did whatever the fuck they wanted and the players had to accept it or fuck off.

technically you don't, since it's a random chance that you end up with that trial

You don't know what mmo's or subscription based games are do you?

I like you user. Jagex could easily fix the problems they have too but the fact they take all game suggestions off of reddit and show poll results BEFORE you vote says everything you need to know.
This is why I quit practically right after getting 99 slayer on my ironman. It felt like that’s effectively as close as I could get to “beating” the game.

I did. Back in those days I had to go to the library to use a computer and you only got 1 hour per session. Had to make the best of the time I had.

How the fuck do people play OSRS in this current fucking year, it was one thing when not everyone had a powerful computer

Flash games from the same era do a better job than OSRS ever will

>shit at blackjacking so I try addy guards
>can't go longer than 30minutes to 1hr at absolute max
what the fuck is this carpal tunnel syndrome simulator. I was planning to try addy guards to 99 but this shit made it jump straight to Runecrafting level on my shit list.

It's fun!

i got banned last year for botting eels after spending a shitload of time on my account. the games a massive waste of time. pve isn't fun, pvp is shitty too and the deadman tournaments don't seem that great. i heard jagex is thinking about adding micro transactions to OS too so fuck them

>fun
>players have to be distracted from it in order to be able to push through the mindless grind
holy fuck
how can you be a game developer and make a game like this

use windows mouse keys so you can press 5 to click

poll results are hidden now bro

Fuck Tai Bwo Wannai Trio.

Sounds like a good way to get banned, RS is known for false positives.

Runescape was originally meant to be an Ultima-like RPG mixed with a point-and-click adventure with mostly-optional multiplayer content

95% of the playerbase chose to treat it like a cookie clicker

>i heard jagex is thinking about adding micro transactions to OS too so fuck them
they never said they would, what they wanted to do was partner with companies which would usually end up being free shit as an advertisement

Kinda wish Castle Wars was still even a little active, efficiencyscape ruined it effectively.

>mfw I was too low level to actually fight so I spent all game putting up barricades and exploding rocks

Attached: 1549158714287.png (1585x1527, 117K)

>add player-owned shops and merchant skill
>make crafting, smithing, fletching profitable and scale with relevant combat levels (no more spending millions getting a 99 to make lvl 40 gear)
Please jagex. I just want to own a shop and give people good deals.

just because you've spent a long time playing doesn't mean you can bot and get away with it, good riddance

Because not everyone cares about modern MMOs, which are all just WoW clones like FF14 and ESO.

>tfw OSRS has reached a point where I don't even really like it anymore and thinking about it makes me want actual 2006 servers again

I know I just miss the community (fuck efficiencyscape) but god damn is OSRS just a frankenstein monster of a game now. Even if you plug your ears and close your eyes around anything new they added it still feels wrong to play.

Attached: 1412882793947.jpg (722x685, 146K)

Well that’s a start. Haven’t played for almost 8 months now so must’ve been recent

OSRS has allways been a shit game but instead of improving and rewarding skill and getting good at the game they doubled down on the grind and now it's shit to play

The grind, the grind and the grind is all OSRS is about apparently and any attempt to speed it up just meets retards from Reddit saying that's not the spirit of OSRS, i'm amazed that a community that is so uninvested with the game doesn't want it to change into something more fun to play

as long as its the built in shit, you cant be banned for it

I think I had one or two of them read to me as a young'un. I've always assumed they were just a generic Tolkien derivative, but I've just seen that one of the covers is the grim reaper riding a motorcycle holding an electric guitar so I may well give these a proper go. Cheers, user.

God damn. That same shit happened to me when I was playing WoW, but with Oblivion. I had missed out on so much over the years. I took such a long hiatus, some of my friends thought I was dead.

I get the impression from the OSRS community that GRIND BAD, unless it's slayer grinding, then GRIND GOOD.

Slayerscape is almost as bad as efficiencyscape honestly.

Who are some good OSRS Youtubers?

they spend all day on a boring game, can you blame them

Torvesta I enjoy even if he’s the most well known

Runescape's quests are a relic of old Multi-User Dungeons. If you want quests focusing on solving puzzles and exploring, look for popular MUDs like HellMOO and DiscworldMUD.

Poll results are hidden now. Jagex is still fucked. The mods are mostly great though. OSRS could continue as decent or go to shit

swampletics

>runecrafting is awful to train
>no one wants improvements because they already suffered through it
>"lol bloods are afk"
>no worthwhile high xp high cpm alternative, just do bloods or souls
don't give me that shit about lavas, its not even that good since losing a couple minutes an hour to anything makes it worse than souls and it also costs a retarded amount of money

Osrs just has a streamlined meta now which is unfortunate. There is a certain way you should play with little deviance and anything other than that means you are quite literally wasting your own time.

The minmaxing mentality needs to die out in multiplayer. Kinda impossible with the advent of a billion and one tutorial videos for every little thing on YouTube.

Most of them are pretty rough. But I enjoy C-Engineer and this one Australian sounding guy that makes really short and detailed guides on account builds. OSRSMauler or something like that. Swampletics and Rendi are some impressive autism.

Slayer isn't even that special, it's literally the bad RPG quest example of "go kill X amount of Y things in my basement then come back for more similar missions".

There isn't even competent teamwork involved, even endgame shit is just many people whacking the same NPC with no interaction with eachother, Barbarian Assault and Pest Control are better team activities than Raids or ToB

the problem is that there is no skill-based minigame or activity it's all dependant on the time you spend with the game rather than you getting better at it

I used to like boaty but his voice gets extremely irritating after a while.

>leave auto play on
>boat video comes on
>don't notice in time
>ear drums get fucked
youtube.com/watch?v=gxcLAjpeqYQ

Swampletics is impressively autistic
J1mmy has kind of a cool idea going with the By Release account but sometimes he tries too hard to be funny
Pug mashing bots is kinda fun for a bit, I'm pretty sure he got ganked by venezuela irl for it though

Can't forget his shitty intro he still uses from like 2010

Again another case of people playing the game wrong according to the meta. You don’t “do” a skill like rc. What you do is take your highest gp/hr method (zulrah, cox, tob, high end bossing /slayer) do that for x hours then use the fastest xp/hr method for given skill.
So for rc you do 300 hours of slayer then take that profit and sit at zmi altar with runners blowing through 3m/hr but getting 120k+ rc xp/hr for 100 hours or so until you’ve maxed rc.
Then go back to gp/hr efficiency and start a new skill. Any deviation from this way of play is honestly wasting your own time because that’s how the game is now

>zmi
should we tell him?

all i read was
>you do this shit grind
>then you do this other shit grind
>then you do this other shitty grind

holy shit how does people play a game like this it literally trains you to be a zombie looking at two screens trying to not get bored

Did they change that too in the last few months? The meta still applies though to whatever is the highest xp/method

If you have 40 minutes to spare his lowest combat level firecape video is insane.

Not saying it’s a fun way to play but it’s the way the game is designed to ply at this point to minimize time spent grinding so you can get to end game asap and then continue to grind :^)

you can't trade pure essence or pick it up if its dropped in the cave

Easy as fuck though?

Over. Fucking. Rated.

And don't bullshit me by saying that you don't wanna pull one of these bad boys whenever you hear it:

Sea shanty is good but this user was right. There are a bunch of better songs that also got trap remixes.
>Mausoleum
>doorways
>attack 2
>Coil
>Monkey fucking badness
All come to mind.

fucking classic

Runescape has always, and forever will, be about grind. Unless they want to fundamentally change every single skill, nothing will change. I play RS3 as well and it's still grindy even when showered with exp boosts and lamps

smallexplamp

Didn't they remove flute salad in RS3 for no reason?

This is why I quit Runescape. If your autism ever lifts or you get a life, you realize the game is just grinding to grind. And splitscreen/afk is no different, you're not even playing at that point so why the fuck are you doing it? For a cape?

>I'll pay you 5gp per flax you bring me!

>areas are jam packed with bullshit

Tutorial Island...Home...

it wasn't though.
even if you got lucky and scammed some kid, 300/e was shit.
When more likely, you were selling it for 200-250/e

Yeah flax was always shit money, kids were just dumb and had no idea what a lot of money was back then.

It was nice though, i still remember picking and spinning 1kBS, and buying granite shit.

I still enjoy OSRS because I never became a member in Runescape. So saving up to get a bond and experiencing members for the first time was pretty neat. It does feel pretty empty though.

A Friend was good before he got his ogre gf pregnant.

Dovydas became such a greedy kike, though.

That too.

After quest cape it just becomes a grind I enjoy juggling between other activities. Same reason I enjoy cooking in real life, it's a nice timer management game (or 0.6-second tick rhythm game if you're doing tick manipulation).

Thanks to runescape i learned english

same with me and some of my fellow hues

>tfw learned to wonky type because of RS
>still can't home-row to save my life though

>makeover mage switching into a woman spontaneously

somehow, someway, i'm also inclined to believe that this game would be the root of that fetish.

The quests tended to get better over time.

Is that me?

Yes because I'm trying to finish every quest so I can start playing the actual game

I really hope I'm being baited here

Mm2 was an embaressment, thats the only new quest of theirs i did. I only went through with it to get the quest cape

>complete disconnect from regular RS content
This is what keeps disappointing me time after time when I read about RS3 and the occasional OSRS patch notes. like nigga you've got all this LORE and shit to work with and expand upon yet somehow you need MORE LORE that came straight out of your ass which also retcons old lore because either A. you never read the old lore in the first place or B. you have a hateboner for it. The worst is when they fuck up shit with MORE LORE and then never follow through to at least give a proper conclusion, instead it's just left hanging.

>that first 10 hit
>that first 20 hit
>that first 30 hit
>that first 40 hit
strength best skill

attack actually is.

Sorry user.
This fellow is correct. Leveling attack first is better in every way. Strength is also required, but you can only reach a max for each weapon.

Attached: A lot of thinking.jpg (500x508, 17K)

tempted to start an ironman. I don't have any friends anyway so my main feels at odds with how I actually want to play

Aclshually it’s more efficient to get base 70’s-> train str to 96 (pref with dh in nmz)->attack to 99->str to 99 ->then def to 99

>all those orchestral versions in RS3 that sound like total ass because of fucked up tempos/outright wrong pitch etc
>can't even play the older actually good versions
who the fuck thought that was a good idea

I've been wanting to try RS3 since getting a new PC a few years ago Yea Forums.
Why won't Jewgex release FRESH world with no micro-transactions allowed? Who the FUCK would start as a new player in a game where you can just buy your stats/doublexp, etc?

Attached: 1526352351075.jpg (1200x1194, 185K)

Why are almost all the song covers on YouTube either the really old MIDI covers of the songs or their RS3 versions? The ones in the middle (as was around when Daemonheim was new) seem to be oddly hard to find.
Example: youtube.com/watch?v=p6LmAF3IJ3A

The fact that they admit they fucked up (at least with the farming part of the island, hosidus or whatever) shows that there's at least one guy who cares at Jagex. Maybe by 2030 they'll have fixed the entire island up to what it should have been on launch.

I might have legit brain problems. I never played Runescape and never will but reading threads such as this one is top comfy.

Have you heard of Yea Forumsscape?
It's got shit 2.25xp, infinite run energy unless you're an ironmeme and the people playing it suck for the most part, but it's so 2006 that they didn't even put Dream Mentor in.

It's surprisingly easy to level because the game spits out the "buyable xp" regularly, even if you don't pay a cent or stick to bonds for membership. It's a nice diversion from OSRS now and then, although I haven't felt a pang of satisfaction from any levels in rs3. Probably just gonna do the quests and dump it.

I used to use Salmoneus' guide website until 2007 when I quit. now i use the wiki on OSRS

>Fuck Elemental Workshop 3
Is there a dumber playerbase than Runescape? Probably but not by much

Attached: 1546371825762.jpg (240x168, 19K)

wtf happened to rape atoll

WoW. The absolute bottom of all fanbases

gay niggas detected, be off with thee

FlyFF by a mile.

Fellas, just wanted to say it is peak comfy seeing a RS thread on Yea Forums almost reach 400 posts. Finally something that isn't OH NO NO NO posting.

I get insane anxiety doing dangerous RS quests, it's not as bad now that you can literally run and pick your shit back up, but no game will ever beat the horror of losing a thousand hours of grinding because you're dogshit at the game.

Hosidius, Quidamortem and Konar's mountain are cool. Piscarillius, Shayzien and Lovakengj suck but just need the same treatment Hosidius got. Arceuus looks shittier than Zanaris

Biggest problem is there isn't the content to fill it and the favour system is beyond shitty.

My only memory left of playing runescape is when a beggar was promising to cut things for free. My curiosity for what he would do got the better of me and I gave him one of my rubies i had just mined. He cackled maniacally, ran offscreen and logged off.
