You honestly don't know anything about this game. Simon Belmont is okay. He can hang with some top tiers, but he does get demolished by someone like Pikachu. Banjo isn't even out yet. Neither is DQ guy. Hard to say how they'll play. I don't think Ken is that great either. I agree K Rool and Ridley suck. Ridley needs a weight buff like Mewtwo.

there's a general power creep in the series. It's pretty easy to tell which characters are older and newer just based on their movesets. A character like kirby would be insane if he was introduced in 4 or later

What constitutes a "based" main in Yea Forums's eyes? Because a lot of the characters they consider "respectable" like Snake, Wario, Ike, Bowser, Falcon, ROB and G&W are considered to be quite strong by high level players, especially Snake, Wario and ROB who have all won majors.

Ridley is a few small buffs away from becoming as scary as Bowser is. Belmonts are basically what Ness was in Smash 4: a very solid character that tragically has some terrible matchups against the top tiers.

There’s so many FE characters because it’s a side effect of the whole “Everyone is Here!” thing more then anything.

Bowser is generally believed to be the best superheavy in the game right now. He has one of the fastest run speeds in the game, which paired with his armor mechanic lets him cancel out zoners and projectile spam.
