just get a level 70 set ready. Augmented scaevan set from rhalgrs reach to be more specific. You can't buy it until you beat SB msq so just make sure you have 2000 when you do. Otherwise you can buy level 6 materia from idyllshire to avoid hitting cap, they'll be useful until ShB end game

Other jobs had the toolset completely gutted and became boring and unfun to play. Summoner is a lot of fun to play, it’s just a bit weak right now.

One of the best things they could do is add a Hall of the Novice section that details playing with different jobs. You can't really fault new people from running away from a DRG's tether or thinking an ally's ground aoe is dangerous because unless they're dabbled in that job they genuinely have no way of knowing what the fuck it is. A little "grouping with a DRG" and "grouping with a SMN" section would fix a lot of problems, and literally everyone would do it if a cute recolored glamour set was rewarded.

The crafting mats are super easy to get from the mobs. If you straight out farmed the mobs instead of the fates to buy the crafting mats you would've ended up with 5x the amount of shit to sell.

I remember making gangbusters of gil when the summoning bells were added to the craftables, and same for the SAM/RDM primal weapons when SB dropped.

Depending on your server, you can also make a pretty penny selling old mats used in the older relic steps.
