No, the single player is garbage
It's worth giving EA 5 dollars and then canceling those 5 dollars after a week after you play online

The sp is not even worth it at literally 0 dollar? Damn what did they do

Campaign is absolutly shit
Solo Operations are okay, you can play them but don't expect a lot of fun, there's only 20 AI on a tiny map

The single player is the worst part of the game. The multiplayer is decent. Not truly great, but decent. The game is regularly on sale for 5 dollars or less, and I'd definitely call it worth it for that. But please do yourself a favor and NEVER play the singleplayer. Its just shit in every way.

No.

>Play as an Imperial Elite Stormtrooper!
>For about five minutes, and then join the Rebellion and take down the Empire!
>Nothing in the campaign will be used in the main core of the game, by the way! Have fun!

It's worth buying on sale for the multiplayer. Get a friend or 2 to play with and it's honestly up there with most modern shooters

this is like asking if it is worth pirating battlefield games for the singleplayer

lol ok

No one played the singleplayer user

multiplayer is worth €5 on sale though

the single player is the worst part

No.

>LOOK OUT
>SPINS OUT OF CONTROL
>KEEP THEIR HEADS DOWN

This game is such a mess. It makes me sad that the team is kind of trying to fix it, but it's already a lost cause and they know it.

But you can use Iden Versio in the multiplayer!

No matter what they do the card system will always be trash

anyone know how many credits you get for the full campaign?

I think you get the exact number required to unlock Iden

Why do they keep getting Scooby Doo/MCU wanna be writers for every god damn game now

all the heroes are unlocked from the start

I have 150h in the game and haven't touched Iden once. Got all clone wars heroes and infrantry classes maxed out purple cards. Boba Fett too.

No the campaign is awful a total waste of time. If you can't play online don't bother. Its actually in a pretty decent state with all the updates especially after they revamped progression.

>all the heroes are unlocked from the start
I had to buy Iden and some others from the Clone Wars updates, maybe they unlocked everyone then.

I guess they changed it, I bought the game in April and everything was unlocked

credits are only useful for skins now

I like Star Wars but I feel like the multiplayer in this game is at the point where everyone you playa against gas dark matter rocket launchers while you're stuck with a water pistol.
Who are considered the best/worst special characters/Heroes?

Can't help you there, I don't play heroes since I don't find it fun, and the saber combat is horrendous.
However for the special classes you can destroy infantry if you take the jetpack guy and use its launcher.
I heard they added droidekas too, maybe they are good?

Whoever is best is whoever is broken at the time, and has the cheapest moves. Go for stun, hit-and-run, and camping fun. The game rewards cheap plays.

Luke is strong and easy to use

The single player is worse than the multiplayer

Iden is fucking great though

Anakin and Vader are best heroes, Droidekas and Arc Troopers are best special classes, Jetpack troopers are pretty good for the price.

I feel like Grievous is actually a pretty good hero and rewards a tactical playstyle, both in heroes vs villains and against infantry. I use the 40% damage reduction on his meme attack where he spins both of his lightsabers + the additional damage for it.

personal favourites are boba and grievous in terms of how fun they are to play.

Single player is ass. The multiplayer however is at a state that it should have been when it launched. That is to say, great amount of content, but buggy in certain circumstances. It's worth getting on sale for sure. Still no fucking server browser though. Galactic Assault is ass, Capitol Supremacy is very fun and saved the game from forever being shit in all honesty.

>great amount of content
Still no new weapons, only one new planet, they've been adding special characters instead of fleshing out infantry and vehicle combat.

The MP is ok
The SP is awful

whats the appeal of new weapons? everyone used the same weapons in Battlefront 2005

I want to use the default weapons in this one too but they don't have attachments. I fucking hate using the disney guns. Clones should only be using DC-15s.

>everyone used the same weapons in Battlefront 2005
Eh fair point.
>Clones should only be using DC-15s
I hate how everything is cross era.

No. Unlike the the mp which has improved over time and is fun if you want a chaotic casual shooter, the SP still has the same problems and glitches from launch.

I bought the game a few months ago for like five bucks, I was surprised to see how these videos are still relevant. It's the same exact experience.

>I feel like Grievous is actually a pretty good hero and rewards a tactical playstyle
He's low-key top tier in HVV. But he suffers on any map that has tons of chokepoints or is too open in any other mode. I feel like Kashyyyk is his best map.

While I do want more weapons, you can't overlook a whole new mode or the reinforcement classes. Or the fact that they added the Saber Tank for the Republic. So it's like I said, the game is in a state now that it should have been on release. Anyone who picks it up now will have plenty of hours of play maxing the 4 basic soldier classes, reinforcements, vehicles, and playing all the maps.

It is unfortunate though that map design in this game is generally ass, though I think maybe there's a bit of bias going on in my head since you can't pick your maps. In any other game you just ignore the shitty ones, but you're forced into rotation here. But even on the good maps it's too claustrophobic for vehicle combat.

>I was surprised to see how these videos are still relevant
They never go back to fix the campaign.
Look at BF4, the multiplayer is fine now, the campaign is still all over the place and has the same issues as EABF2's solo.

>can't overlook a whole new mode
I'm mad that it is so limited.
No air vehicles, limited space to play on the ground compared to the overall map size, only 40 players, cutscene to transition between the phases instead of having at the same time the battle in the capital ships and on the ground.
>Saber Tank for the Republic
It's neat but the maps are so cramped I don't find it fun to drive this thing around, the only place where it feels good is on Kashyyyk and driving it across the main road is a death sentence.
>plenty of hours of play maxing
That's an issue too, because of the way the cards work with absolutely no downsides you'll fight people with objectively better stats than you.
>even on the good maps it's too claustrophobic for vehicle combat
Yeah that ties into how I feel about the saber tank.
Same for the AAT, love how it looks but never really played with it because it has the same issues with speed, size and map design.

>maps are so cramped
apparently the other mode has bigger maps (like a bigger geonosis) but fuck queuing up for that cross era shit

that being said I'm actually level40 something with tanks. I started using them because they're always available and driving them is hell, which means you often get a lot of confused/slow opponents. Level30 in speeders too for the same reason. The barc speeder is atrocious to drive and aim with but you can one-burst instakill heroes with the special fire (if you don't miss).

None of the maps are a decent size. Think of the average Battlefield map and cut that into 1/3rd and that's the average playable area for BF2

>the other mode has bigger maps
Yeah, but it goes like a game of rush in Battlefield, the map is bigger but you're not playing on all of it at the same time.
>bigger geonosis
Not that bigger, I was quite disapointed by how awful it is to drive the BARC around in it when they added both in the same update.
There also made a new fucking vehicle and did nothing with it but locked it to Geonosis.
It's the AT-TE and it has only one seat. This game is nothing but missed potential.
>fuck queuing up for that cross era shit
Yes.
>level40 something with tanks
I really need to get XP for them.

>No air vehicles
That's a positive for me for two reasons. Dipshits who camp in the air all day just make the game unfun and distract the objective. This isn't like Battlefield where there's effective anti-air and a specific anti-air vechicle. Also, I'm assuming DICE is moving away from starfighters because Criterion is the studio who handled all of that, and they're not on board anymore.

>cutscene to transition between the phases instead of having at the same time the battle in the capital ships and on the ground.
Similar disappointment, but I assume that's also because of Criterion.

>It's neat but the maps are so cramped
You can dominate on Geonosis with it, there's enough space there. And I've been told GA Geonosis feels so amazing now that the republic has Tanks.

>That's an issue too, because of the way the cards work with absolutely no downsides you'll fight people with objectively better stats than you.
Most modern shooter games have progression systems like this now though. While there's no stat downside to cards, there is to attachments and what you forego because you're limited to 3 cards. Ion/Distrupter loadouts especially have upside/downside to them. I usually main specialist with NT242 disrupter which takes a 1-shot headshot down to 2-shot, but I tear through shields, vehicles, and get a small AoE effect to my shots. For cards it's not statistical like that above example but there's a lot of viable card combos that give you advantage/disadvantage.

Why would anyone play an EA game?

>make the game unfun and distract the objective
If only the gamemode with capital ships had objectives that could be done in a starfighter like in the OG Battlefront 2 with destroying parts of the capital ship.
>effective anti-air
The anti-vehicle turret is quite good, and the manual lock-on missile too.
>assuming DICE is moving away from starfighters because Criterion
That's what I think too, they are absolutely incapable of making ships, despite managing to do not so bad air combat in Battlefield 2.
>Similar disappointment, but I assume that's also because of Criterion.
Might be, I didn't think about it this way.
>Most modern shooter games have progression systems like this now though
I really despise it, I'd rather have everything unlocked from the start so everyone is on a level playing field, and have them balance it well with both up and downsides.

I'm about to drop some blackpills and make the game literally unplayable for you guys

sorry but I have to do it

look at how small the Slave I is on Bespin
look at how small the techno union hardcell ships are on geonosis cs
take a good hard look at those starfighters in the theed hangar.. are naboo starfighters really that small? is it just your FOV playing tricks on you? I don't think so.

I think the perspective is absolutely fucked, because the movies weren't that consistent.
Look at the size of the T-47 during Hoth's battle in Episode V, and compare it to it's in game version when you fly around an AT-AT.

nigga that's obvious to anyone

this shit takes up like 105G on my PlayStation, wtf? Gonna delete it soon

How?
The game is barely 80gb on my PC.

Just get a key from a reseller. EA won't see any money this way and you can still play MP on their servers.

Needless to say the original BF2 is still way better.

I don't know why the file size is so huge, it's not like there's too much to the game: it's a couple hour campaign, arcade mode, and multiplayer mode. Surely the graphics/assets can't be that huge? They need to learn to compress their files or something

>Surely the graphics/assets can't be that huge
I think they are.

It legitimately has to be. My GPU even heats up to 80 degrees celsius.
