Compounding difficulty with tedium or time wasters. If you're developing a game that has the player encounter a fail state often, why have that fail state be annoying and/or have getting back to action long? I'm not talking about check points either. I'm talking about dying and waiting for several dialogue prompts and 2 - 3 loading screens just to make another attempt. Just fucking put me back in a position where i can play the game again. Tedium is not difficulty and is not interesting. It just makes your game ass.

Just yesterday my SL was driving our whole squad in a logi around enemy lines to set up a flank FOB, we run into an enemy tank, we have 2 LAT and 1 HAT in the back who cant see whats in front of the truck. SL does nothing but keep quiet and slowly try to back out around a bend in the road, and of course we get blown up. If he had called a dismount, or announced there was a tank in front of us, we wouldve had plenty of time to take it out.
