It's a shame the sequels aren't as colorful and varied. I never got into Rayman 2 because the game is so dark and green and brown.

The funny thing is I actually played R1 on PC without the sounds working and only the music. I don't know if I just happen to disable it by accident but after hearing the sfx from the PS1 version it through me off big time and I didn't like the silly sound effects.

Literally worked on my machine first time. Only problem I had was me being retarded and not knowing to detect analog buttons before mapping a DS4 in Mednafen.

People nostalgia bias played the N64 of Rayman 2 and that's why. I played revolution right behind R3 and 3 was just better all around. The controls were perfected, you actually use your fists like you're suppost too, it's not a DK64 tier collectathon as much anymore, with the story only been a bit less intimdating compared to R2 plus no Ly the Fairy which fucking sucks but otherwise, it's better. People really seem to think a cartoon game making slight pop culture jokes makes it bad, instead of the over the top edgy game with alien robots taking over the world with cartoon thingamajigs. When Sonic got shit for that but Rayman doesn't, it just seems fucked up.
Although Rayman did do it far better than Sonic but still.
