Not really. In fact it feels like it's worse since more people are playing the game than before. Like 90% of the levels are absolute garbage, but that just comes with the territory if you're going to be playing those modes which there's only Endless now..

Yes unless you play easy or super expert.
The fact your level has to be played before getting into the endless pool and the boo system being in place filters out a lot of the garbage.
Normal levels are usually fun to play.

I like it but I am a bit disappointed. It's simply not as good to create on as it was on the Wii U, and the multiplayer/co-op experience is nothing short of terrible. Also 3D World style sucks but whatever.
