Not him but besides rare exceptions like the MGS series, they really are.

Wrong you dumb weeb.

Because I don't speak japanese and therefor don't notice if it's bad.

explain in great detail how it's bad

How? I speak three languages btw, including Japanese, and I can tell how awful dubs are most of the time.

sure you do weaboo

Activision handled the dubbing and not From using their trusted british theater guys

喋りたいか?俺の婚約者は日本人ですから毎日日本語で話すよ。

Activision.

Is Cronartie High or Panty and Stocking bad?

>Dark Souls is a fantasy medieval epic with verbose prose so they paid out for european theater talent as the original dub
>Sekiro is a fuedal japan game so they paid out for japanese voice talent and let the other languages have dub-tier dubs

it's that simple really

The Souls games are voiced in English even in Japan

The dub for Sekiro is exactly that, a dub. One From likely had very little to do with.

>, all the other soulgames sounds amazing
no they don't

MMYYYYYYYYYYYY NAAAAAAAAAAAAME

>Why the english dub is so bad?
It isn't? What's bad about it?

>playing the dub

AFAIK the other souls games are in english, even in japan.

This. Remember that Activision was the publisher

>all these uneducated people in this thread
This guy got it. Fromsoft games in the past had English as the language Miyazaki and co. personally used as default and focused on directing, casting theater actors and generally spending a lot of time on it.

Sekiro had JAPANESE as the default - one of the devs already confirmed this months ago. So the Japanese Sekiro version was the one that got the attention the English version usually gets, while the English version was handled by Activision.

It makes sense considering Sekiro is meant to be played in Japanese, since the game is set in Japan whereas the other From titles are set in European fantasy lands. Elden Ring clearly has the same classic English From dubbing based on that teaser.
