For me, it's between 4 and 7PM. Get some grinding and multiplayer matches done after lunch but right before dinner.

When there's no traffic outside my window, all the buildings around me only have a few lights on, all you hear is the occasional bus go by
Night time is the best

Don't get me wrong, I despise waking up early. But when I do I take advantage of and game until noon, and I've still got the whole day ahead of me.

The midnight hour

yes, having a view to the city at night when its super calm is very comfy

I feel pretty good from about 5PM to 10PM, but the summer heat has me up more from 10 to 3.

6AM-8AM on a day off with no plans. It's the closest to being anxiety-free that I can ever get.

I'm uptown. So it's not bad here, a few apartments mostly small ones maximum 10 storeys, but I can see the CN tower and the high rises clearly from my window. It's super comfy seeing all the blue and purple yellow and red lights at night

i remember playing games in the morning as a kid, it was really comfy, but i think it's been at least 2 years since i last woke up before 11am

I studied abroad in Israel on a university on top of a mountain. My tiny dorm room window had a clear view of the Mediterranean and its beautiful sunset. And at night, I could see all the way out over the city (clear to Syria). Internet was super controlled over there, so I had to go to a friend's house to download some games and play offline. I remember staying up until 5AM replaying Age of Empires II and occasionally looking out at the headlights driving down the freeway and wondering what they were doing/where they were going. The trip wasn't super fun all the time. Often a headache, actually. BUT I remember having some truly comfy times there.

I'm up nice and early each morning, but I've always got something new to do.

>i remember playing games in the morning as a kid
Ironically enough, I used to wake up at 4 or 5AM as a kid to play Super Mario Galaxy before going to elementary school. My mom found it really weird that I'd wake up that early to play a video game, but I just liked it that much.

I force myself up at six every day. Maybe I'll sleep until eight on the weekends. My free time is so scarce that I have to make it up somewhere, and the morning is the easiest time.

I was the same way in middle school with Kingdom Hearts II. All the nerds were playing it at the same time, so we were all trying to keep up with each other. My parents kept enforcing a ridiculously early bedtime, and I got it in my head that there was no "wake up" time, so I could get up as early as I wanted to play some more KH.

I like Rosalina. She's my second favorite Mario character.

i was too lazy to get up to play games before school, but i used to play ds in bed a lot before anyone woke up

My parents also tended to limit my play time after school, further incentivizing early play.

what is the first one then? the only acceptable answer is wario

Attached: warioo.jpg (210x240, 16K)

I used to play Pokemon Pearl in bed before I got sleepy. Nighttime Sinnoh towns were peak comfy.

My mother worked nights, so I was pretty much on my own after school. I would get home and play Monster Hunter 3 Tri every day after middle school.

It's King Boo, and I only feel indifference towards Wario. His fans can be annoying sometimes, but I'm not going to lower my opinion of the character himself because of it.

playing animal crossing in bed on saturday nights to see kk slider playing on the bar was maximum comfiness

now that i think of it, king boo is also an acceptable answer, but what's wrong with wariofags? they just make some shitpost from time to time

MHTri was my first all-nighter. I was a senior in high school by then, already accepted to uni, so my parents didn't really care. You youngins will never know the pain of going years of solo MH before true online arrived.

Is 3 Tri really that good? I had friends in HS try to get me into 3U and 4U, and I could never get into it.

And sometimes those shitposting fests turn into full on circlejerks about how epic and based Wario is. I don't feel like participating in the Wario threads when it ends up having more people just jerking Wario off and memeing about him than people talking about Wario games.
But, you know, I'll just leave the thread. It's not for me anymore when that happens.

I'm glad Tri was my first experience, that Jhen Moran hunt was magical for me. I wore a full set of Ingot Armor and ran Calm Sands all the way to Alatreon.
Monster Hunter games are a bit unwieldy, I dropped the series until world after the Wii U after giving the 3DS games a shot and finding them to be a bit too cumbersome for my liking.
The thing about Tri was the online mode it had, it was really fucking good and when you made friends there, they were your friends for good.
Loc Lac is in every sense of the saying, my grove street.

I think Tri benefits from having the best single-player village. Yeah, Pokke has a nice theme and good aesthetic, but Moga and its NPCs are peak comfy and really make you feel attached to the story in a way other installments haven't.

6 to 8 AM
Little to no traffic, just the sun and the sound of birds
It's just the PERFECT atmosphere for city building and comfy management games

Attached: 1536880526548.jpg (350x350, 35K)

i don't make wario threads often, but when its a serious thread people usually talk about the games, and when its a shitpost thread people will shitpost about wario, nothing wrong here, the only bad thing that happens on wario threads are ashleyfags

Attached: butatwhatcost.jpg (507x313, 43K)

Where the fuck do you live that there's no traffic at 6am? Nunavut?

Wariofags are pretty cool in my book. They're not too annoying, most of them just really like the WL games and Wario World. I know a Wariofag irl, he's pretty chill.

I still listen to the night theme on loop on cooler nights like tonight.
youtu.be/isOuCdlm1p8
I'll never get tired of it.
Were you there for the server shutdown? I remember my group of hunting buddies getting me on skype so we could find each other in the next game, turned out it was fruitless because we eventually fell out of contact anyway though. I did encounter one of them in World again all these years later, but I don't think they know it's me.

>I know a Wariofag irl
what? what makes him a wariofag? i mean, you're a wariofag when you're posting wario, but its not something you would define yourself irl. I don't call myself a rosalinafag

Attached: 1555869975065.png (230x252, 149K)

When I was a kid I sewed my own Wario doll with a penis

It's not like he's always talking about Wario or obsessed with him, but he mains Wario in Smash. Also, whenevee we talk about vidya, he always talks about how he wants Wario World 2, Wario Land 5, or another proper Wario game that isn't WarioWare.

Sounds annoying.

Attached: 1558145688995.gif (960x836, 231K)

I think I had moved on by that point. I didn't really make that many friends on Tri, since most of them phased out after a while while I was still grinding for Skypiercers. World is much the same. Most people have already moved even when I'm still grinding. I'm also too old now. I much prefer the single-player experience to trying to befriend teenagers.

To be honest i think its cool when someone really likes something to the point of talking about it on every opportunity, maybe its a bit annoying but its nice to see that he is passionate about something.I never rosalinafagged irl, but everytime I play mario kart with my friends I'll silently pick her and hope no one notices

Attached: 1558843045803.jpg (782x784, 107K)

He's a really chill guy, he likes other kinds of games as well. SoulsBorne, DMC, Dragon Quest, Metroidvania, you name it. He just likes the Wario games as well and wishes he got more of them.

>he likes metroidvania
>he is a wariofag
ask him what's his opinion on master of disguise, i can't be the only one to like that

That's fair. The most fun I've had in a long time was from Dragon's Dogma, Nier and Hallow Knight, so I will concede there is nothing like a cohesive single player experience.
Still, it's funny. 10 years after the game came out, I'm 21 and I've yet to experience anything quite like what I got back then. I think it has something to do with online gaming being in the early stages, everyone was just eager to have a good time with everyone else. The lack of easy voice chat also likely played a role in it, it was use that shitty on screen keyboard or just hope everyone figures out what you're trying to do.

Attached: Quick.png (1920x1080, 415K)

He says he liked the game when it first came out but he hasn't replayed it recently enough to have a concrete opinion on it.

i think i had a similar experience with dark souls 2, it was the only one i played connected to the internet, summoning and being summoned by strangers was really comfy, also there was a guy that i battled with every day for almost a week on that bridge on the lava world, i should have added him

Attached: 1557708777478.jpg (638x680, 98K)

tell him to replay when he the have time, its really good

Attached: erect.gif (320x288, 14K)

I jacked a keyboard from my school's library and a converter to plug it into the Wii. I had that shit on my lap the entire time. I flamed so hard...

>The lack of easy voice chat also likely played a role in it
I remember playing GMod and TF2 back before I got a mic. Shitty team communication using the text chat wasn't the best, but it still made for some interesting and memorable moments.

It's a strange thing when you form a silent bond with someone. It's a pure kind of understanding.

Attached: 1512643964104.jpg (400x400, 31K)

yeah that sensation is something you can only get on videogames, or if you need to cooperate with someone deaf for some reason

Attached: 1544978494567m.jpg (1008x1024, 131K)

>its the sensation you can only get in videogames
I've had this feeling outside of vidya, though. Mainly on here and on some Discord servers that I'm in.

Attached: 418BB9E2-F0A6-4F15-8ED4-CF38F8076F84.gif (660x900, 1.3M)

i was thinking of the sensation of communicating with someone you can speak with, maybe you're thinking of the sensation of having a bond with an anonymous person, which in this case i definitely feel like this here too

Attached: 1551991345649.jpg (644x1000, 456K)

It's not bonding that I'm thinking of, it's more just interacting with people online, and, without talking or texting to each other, just knowing exactly what's on each other's mind. Just knowing what the other people are thinking about without saying a word.

Attached: A53B2017-3495-4BBC-BE00-915FFCF4D6DD.png (2500x2500, 3.84M)

so its like when you see someone post a rosalina picture on op talking about something unrelated?

Attached: 1555876295344.jpg (500x500, 125K)

I think I know that he means because it's a trope I love. Ever see a movie where one of the characters doesn't speak a lick of English and no one speaks his native language, yet he's best friends with someone?

Attached: 1512639030874.jpg (992x1344, 326K)

Any time I'm awake and not at work

i understand what you're saying, but i've never seen a movie with this

Attached: 1559715329392.jpg (486x1000, 84K)

That's what I think love is. No communication necessary thanks to a near total understanding of one another.

Attached: 1531020687705.png (3300x5100, 3.95M)

Yeah, I'd put it like that. You don't really talk to each other and communicate explicitly, but it's just something that you and the other people understand immediately without the need for that communication.

Attached: 1516432762796.jpg (700x964, 532K)

but that's a different thing, we were talking about non verbal communication

Attached: 1550160005645.jpg (628x1104, 487K)

Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds.

i'm glad i'm not your girlfriend

Attached: smug rosa.png (1052x1200, 609K)

It's that or the other one.

Attached: 1512636249720.jpg (1280x720, 420K)

At least we can all love the other one. And play as her too.

you're still here?

Attached: 1555884425060.jpg (800x907, 88K)

Yeah, I'm still here. I'll probably be going to bed soon, I was out all night.

i should probably go to sleep soon too

Attached: 1547162314696.png (1000x750, 299K)

10 to 5 am and then sleeping because i am a creature of the night

12am to 5am
