Putting aside the idea of a game with perfect design being a masterpiece because that's entirely different, although still worth considering, there are very few games at the moment that will still be held as masterpieces when the medium has had more time. There is no Hamlet of gaming yet, but games haven't even been around for 50 years yet, they're still in their embryo stage.
