SA because its story isn't all over the place. SA takes you everywhere but the story has a clear endgame. I am currently replaying GTA5 and even though I know how it ends, I forget how the story even gets there.
Both games are 10s though

>Next objective is saving Sweet

Playing through GTA5 and its feels like they had a bunch of ideas for story missions, but very few actually mesh well in the grand scheme of things.
Did Carl owning a repair shop even help in the grand scheme of things?

GTA V's story is abysmal and has no likable characters outside of Lamar.
No one is debating this, SA is the far superior game. The real debate is VC vs SA with black horse contender IV.
That and 5 didn't really have much of a central story at all.
You don't learn about the Big One until much later in the game.
It pretty much all started cause Micheal tore that guy's condo in half, which involved Franklin. Which then led to Trevor eventually finding out Micheal was alive and living in Los Santos.

No. As much as I enioyed and had fun with VC. It is not better than SA or V. V is probably the biggest let down because of how overhyped it is and the terrible direction they took it. But VC i so bare and generic after a while. I would like VI to be set in VC though.

There is nothing fun about standing on rooftops shooting at waves of zombie in Undead Nightmare, Dead Rising even with the time limit is far more fun.

God the Rock radio station in V is the most basic playlist I've ever heard and I listen to mainstream Rock radio at work every day.
SA is INFINITELY better, played the shit out of it, got bored of V after a week
V is more fun in the aspect that you've got a ton more of stuff to do than in SA because of obvious reasons.
But I agree that SA has a more varied map. On SA you've got Los Santos, Las Venturas and San Fierro, and Blaine County and the Nevada desert are two separate sections.
V is just Los Santos, a big fucking piece of nothing and then a 4x4 town in the middle of nowhere.
Carl owning a repair shop allows him to start up a legitimate business and become an entrepreneur. He starts growing from SF and calling the shots by the time he reaches LV.
