It levels up to Dragoon, and gains some cool attacks. It's a very strong class, as is Monk (the pugilist upgrade). They are both positional heavy so if that's what you didn't like then Dragoon may not help either.

Unfortunately, one of the best attack animations Samurai has locked behind a rather lackluster transition skill.

Between level 54-60, Goring Blade does more damage than Rage of Halone for PLD making it useless until 60 when it becomes Royal Authority. Feels really weird using my DOT ender for more damage

For optimal damage you have to know when and how to clip.

It's not shit, for once the story is mostly ok. There's still a ton of problems. The first being the community. It's irredeemable and if you've joined literally any FC I don't need to say any more. Second is LFG still exists promoting antisocial behavior, defeating the purpose of an MMO. The story being the most interesting so far and one i'd actually recommend not skipping (id recommend skipping everything leading up to Shadowbringers) Even when this story is decent it still has its issues. Everything involving Minfilia/Ryse and Thancred is insufferable. Emets motivation and actions also make no sense. He's a guy who's technically the good guy and has had the upper hand multiple times throughout the story but chooses to help you instead. He even tells everyone where he's going after you're about to die. He's a complete fucking idiot.

You're using afflatus skills wrong, it's a dps loss if you just throw them out for no reason compared to glare spam.

If you have to use a gcd heal, you use afflatus skills so instead of losing the 300 potency of a glare, you only lose 75 because afflatus misery is there as a potency boost.

It's only a dps gain to blow up lillies if the boss is untargetable and inbetween pulls in dungeons.

95-97% is easily attainable without any padding if you're good.
Past 97% isn't happening without some padding, whether its a Ninja or a Dancer, both, or more.

Except you can only have 3 Lilies and if you hit 3, you are wasting seconds to build more. None of the existing content forces you to use lilies effectively enough to NOT overheal and fflogs also proves this with the 30% healing done and 60% overheal average on top WHM's right now.
Healing lilies should not be on the GCD, it's just simple as that.

Because forced overhealing is poor design and WHM has always been known to cause excessive amounts or be very capable of it with little to no effort.
