Make a game that has you visiting Final Fantasy worlds instead of Disney, but still have Disney characters, basically inverse of KH2.

The original idea was made for kids who liked disney movies but it turned into a bad anime fanfic.

It was still fun with the first two games but the story got very convoluted very fast and took too much attention away from the disney stuff while not evolving the gameplay enough.

If i had control i would start from scratch, release the games in a correct order, not go overboard with the convoluted anime plot, make new more interesting non-weeb characters (scrap/redesign sora riku and the others.)

Also make it a T for teen rating while throwing in some marvel shit. Scrap lame shit like winnie the poo and add more pixar stuff.

Divert all the funds to a Deus Ex Remake.

Keep and expand on the formula of KH2

For additions, these are both what I'd love to have seen and what just makes sense.

How do I get into this franchise? I own a PC and PS4 and I am not interested in emulation.

You don't. You watch speedrunners and copy their complaints on the video games board in 4channel

Buy the story so far and kh3 on ps4.

Do a soft reboot. Every OC except Sora, Riku, and Kairi goes on vacation somewhere. The plot becomes way simpler and focuses on Sora/Donald/Goofy visiting Disney worlds (that all have unique scenarios and aren't rehashes of the movie scripts). The story is well-paced and dripfed over every world, rather than having infodumps at specific points.

The combat goes back to KH1 level groundedness, but now there's an emphasis on giving the player meaningfully different offensive options that aren't simply mashing X. No transformations, the only gameplay cutscenes are summons which all have solid functionality. Basic enemies are a legitimate threat rather than fodder between bosses. Heartless only.

The worlds have a ton of life to them, have lots of interactivity, and intricate level design/exploration. Most of the worlds are obviously Disney but the starting and ending worlds are original. Could maybe squeeze a Final Fantasy/Square-Enix world in there. Strong emphasis on atmosphere. Don't overdo it on the cutscenes.

Turn it into a western game, get rid of all japanese qualities.
