Menat is the most likely SFV rep in Vs. She's popular and has powers that could fit into the systems (her orb could be similar to Strange's Grates of Hoggoth, but it's just one that moves around).

They could've given him his Vibranium energy daggers that he has in the comics. I always thought it'd be cool if he fired multiple of them while doing a flip, at various diagonal angles, giving him even more mobility but at the same time, maybe making the projectile disappear after a short distance.

I've thought a lot about what makes certain fighting games interesting to watch competitively vs others though and something I think matters a lot is being able to see people do stuff you just can't. (1 frame links, insane mixups in anime fighters) part of why tekken I think has been a successful viewing experience lately is due to KBD autism you see people play the game totally differently at a pro level to the noob level.
SS is all mental, execution is a thing but it's not everything. The difference is so not so apparent to the layman between pro and normal play. I adore SS, but I don't think it'll ever be a good viewing experience.

A new game in the Samurai Shodown series released just a few weeks ago. Samurai Shodown is less focuses on combos, they're often very short and can be learned quickly, and more about smart management of your limited resources and character's abilities. Might be a good game to try learning if you're new. You can always try fightcade for older games but it may be hard and the community isn't great.

Anybody here playing Teppen? I don't know why, but this is the first one of these mobile card games that's actually gotten me in; maybe it's just that I care about the Capcom cast enough to see how it works, but I do enjoy the systems a lot. No clue if they're derivative of other games or anything, and maybe that's why I'm so interested in them.
I just started playing yesterday and reached D5 with an aggressive Red deck built around the Metsu Shoryuken Hero Ability. I noticed that low ranks have a LOT of Ryu players and now in E & D ranks I've getting more Green players.
