Depends on how you do it. If you frame it in a way that clearly shows to everyone that a game doesn't connect with you on a fundamental level and explain why, then most people won't have a problem with what you are saying. However if you are criticizing a game and the reader can whiff a sense of contempt from the writer for the audience who are receptive to the game, then you run into a problem where people are more mad at you than your words.
Its like what happening with Pokemon. More people are resorting to bootlicking Game Freak and Pokemon because they despise the people's attitudes to Sword and Shield and the general direction of the series, not because of a disagreement in opinions on the state of Game Freak. They will grasp on that one old vague interview that suggests that more work was done on the Pokemon models than is ostensibly true because its a way to diffuse the detractors who are gaining prominence
