He doesn't have an RTX yet

>he doesn't have an RTX yet

What's your excuse, Yea Forums?

dont have money

I don't buy gimmick tech on release

waiting for the next 80ti card

I don't care.

You don't even need an RTX card to run the raytracing in BF1. It's not using GI.

>It's not using GI.
You also dont need it for Tomb Raider and Metro but have fun playing with 10FPS I guess.

rtx can't save that foliage

Your mom isn't pulling in enough clients for me to afford one.

'cause I have HDR + OLED tv

Rtx is still in its infancy and not worth the premium price unless you are loaded and needed a upgrade anyways

Because puddles looks like mirrors.

>muh pretty reflections on everything
>no it doesn't really hinder performance
>game runs with 25 fps on medium
>well duh the human eye can only see 15 fps
>no its not just another gimmick that is going to die just like nvidia flex
>of course spending 1200$ for 16% performance boost is worth it its literally free

Whoever upgraded from a 1080ti to a 2080ti as soon as it hit the shelves is a complete bellend or a streamer

But I do?

>itll die like flex
>almost all upcoming aaa games use rtx features
>nothing but kf2 uses flex
>games runs with 25fps on medium
4k ultra settings here, getting 55fps on average. i could put resolution scaling to 95% and have 60fps

I'm never giving Nuvidya a penny

based

Cause PS5 aint out yet

Only Metro kills you FPS because it uses GI. TR and BFV do not and thats why your FPS don't get hit too hard.

>60FPS in 2019
1440p/144hz master race

Because it does nothing new.

and that has nothing to do with raytracing

Nice cherrypicked image.

AMD is shit too though

this is at 1080p.

>playing sub-120fps ever

There's literally nothing I want to play on PC for the next few years. Sticking with my PlayStation until PC has worthwhile exclusives.

Attached: 3DAA9982-5E7B-4CE1-881C-98EB4117FE73.png (2208x1242, 2.03M)

that looks like shit though
ps4 looks better

>playing at 900p low settings 25fps

more or less

110 is tolerable but fluctuating from 100 to 120 in a fast paced shooter fucks your aim

It's not, have got an RX480 4GB going strong and it will easily be another 2 years before it has crunched through my bagglog

Because I am not a retard. Only AAA trash uses this tech.

>muh graphics

Too new.
Why pay premium now for little return when I can pay discount later when the tech is more fully utilized?

>support muh pink haired tranny indies!!

>Caring about muh resolution and fps
>Can't even name 3 PC exclusives that are worth building a new PC for

>whooooa deewd! REFLECTIONS!

This! fuck these nerds caring about framerates. 24 is more than enough

now look down until the house is no longer visible
whoops reflection gone

Attached: basedtx.jpg (3840x2160, 3.2M)

I bought a 1080 for 550€ last year

screen space reflections good!

Attached: SSR.webm (720x540, 2.43M)

but I still have that sweet 144+fps.

The big edge of RTX is when you remove the workload from game dev and engine. The consumer only benefits when the entire game dev space switches.

When it happens though it will save a lot of work and make games cheaper to make.

I don't think a few new shiny reflection effects are worth buying a new GPU.

its not just reflections tho
control for example uses raytraced reflections, raytraced global illumination, raytraced shadows and raytraced ambient occlusion

If I had anything worth playing in my 546 game library on steam id consider it. Nothing but indie garbage and poorly optimized AAA garbage
