Press X

Press X.

The only one that fucks me up when They tell you to do that is the Xbox controller.

Press C

X

This. I handle all the other controllers just fine.
The xbox controller fucks me up though with both its colours and letters.

how come those keyboards only have 4 buttons?

Y?

Left is correct because I am not a child who plays on consoles.

All of these are fine but new PC games tell you to push X and it is a blue X that has a black background and I instinctively Push the "Sony X" by mistake. I wish they had kept the completely blue X for PC game button prompts.

Because

The PlayStation isn't an X. It is a cross.

But the prompt appearance is the problem, not the naming.

yeah bro, you're such a mature adult

Why couldnt they just 1 2 3 4 like fighting game notations? Doesn't the logitech controller do that?

dude, I stylized my x, dude, it isn't an x

seethe harder peasant

All the other buttons are shapes: triangle, square, circle. Thus the X-shaped button cannot be referred to as the letter X.

>Press X.
So is out of the question then. Why is it in the picture?

How's your RDR2 PChild?

>redditor
even better lmao

x-box is correct because it's on the correct axis.

>using DS4 on PC
>button prompts in game are only for Xbox controllers
>take 10 extra minutes learning controls because of the buttons being wrong

>using KB+M on PC
>button prompts in the game only have a symbol, not a button (e.g. kick symbol if you have to use the kick key)
>spend entire game learning vague symbols

>using KB+M on PC
>Xbox prompts anyway

>can't bind half of the keyboard because fuck you it's console port

I'll press the top one because it was the first X.

based

its the blue button

The SNES naming convention will always be canonical. If I tell you to press the X button and you don't hit the top one it's not my fault you're a fag.

>isn't an X. It is a cross.
BIG, IF TRUE!

Attached: X.png (244x38, 2K)

>can't change any binds because fuck you it's a console port

you're wrong

I have literal, unironic aspergers and even I think the debate over xbox vs ps4 vs SNES/Wii classic/WiiU Pro/Switch pro button places is autistic as fuck

it's the same god damn layout, only what each given button is labeled as change, who gives a fuck, it's functionally identitical

Every Playstation game that has voice actors saying the name of the button out loud, they say "ecks button." No weebs, Japanese audio doesn't count.

The NGC layout was so fucking dumb, holy shit.

The PlayStation layout is the only one that makes sense to me. All others are fucking retarded.

>the one with the colorful wacky symbols is the only one that makes sense to me
Are you legit 12?

It only makes sense. Symbols are easy to remember. A/B/X/Y is stupid, especially when both Nintendo and Xbox use those letters, and then both have inverted buttons.

>cross
You mean fork?

You mean the censored swastika?

It's referring to the X and Y axis. And only the Microsoft controller got it right.

Attached: 53297131-x-and-y-axis-vector.jpg (1300x1300, 60K)

If that was the case the x should be in the place the b button is, cause right now it's a negative x, so the NGC controller is the one that got it right.

>Universal easy symbols on the best selling hardware in many countries or shitty YXAB inputs and it's reversed on different controllers
Are YOU 12?

I've only ever heard Japanese call it Batsu
Never heard Cross(Kurosu) used for it

>Universal easy symbols
If that's what you're going for then just use fucking numbers.

why not, better then the fucking letters

what if a Roman or Babylonian uses the controller?

I'm a square guy.

>Have Japanese Vita
>O is confirm in OS menus
>X is confirm in game menus

nice user.

>need to press X
>Can never remember which one is X and which one is Y
