What are your plans for first playthrough: >Gender and appearance (post pic if you have a concrete example) >Lifepath (see the 2018 Gamescom demo creation screen) and backstory (street kid, nomad, corpo) >Class (solo, techie or netrunner) and playstyle (aggressive, diplomatic, stealthy)
What is: >Coolest overall aesthetics (check pic) >Band or music style you'd like to see featured in the game >The main reason you are (not) hyped for this game
I doubt the game will offer a lot of cosmetic enhancements aside from haircuts after you create your character. One can still hope we'll get to biosculpt our character.
As someone who loves horribly tacky shit, i legit wish i had the black dude's jacket and the balls to wear it in public
Joseph Sanders
I feel the same way about V's jacket. We'd better get an option to dress ourselves in the most ridiculous shit possible since they put us in first person mode.
>If I can't play as a little girl I'm not buying it >implying you would've bought it in the first place Also, shitposting is done on
John Long
Since no one actually answered any of the questions, I guess I'll start (again):
>Gender and appearance Female (check pic)
>Lifepath and backstory Ran away from home + Ex-lover in town; Street Kid
>Class and playstyle Netrunner that tends to use diplomacy where hacking doesn't work and only resorts to weapons when both fail.
>Coolest overall aesthetics (check pic) Top-right simply because it's the most original of the four, but I like top and bottom left as well.
>Band or music style you'd like to see featured in the game Pertubator / synthwave, no matter how cliche it is: >youtube.com/watch?v=oTN6cGmH2yM
>The main reason you are (not) hyped for this game Hyped for the insane production value of the game, especially for its unique aesthetics and soundscape. Wary of the fact we are railroaded into a samy playstyle as well as for limited character creation and roleplaying options, not to mention the lack of third person camera.
>male >street kid >solo. Aggressive playstyle with a focus on katanas. Abuse any drugs I can. Basically be the Son from Hotline Miami 2
>Corpo aesthetic is best and after this first run I'll do a corpo playthrough >I love synthwave. But I understand it doesnt always fit with Cyberpunk. More-so the punk side of things. As Chippin In showed they want to channel 80s rock. >My sole reservation is that they somehow fuck up the story.
Why do they hate tits so much these days? If you make the characters are all flat as a board, then at least make them muscular men so that my gay ass can at least fap to them.
Angel Scott
>topleft Does he have a Pizza Hut in the garage?
Camden Cruz
If it's anything like the Witcher 3 then all female characters share the same breast size. Anyways tits were shown in the gameplay demo last year so calm down.
Charles James
>dystopian future
James Jones
>Basically be the Son from Hotline Miami 2 I like the way you think! >As Chippin In showed they want to channel 80s rock. They're actually doing much more than that. They announced that they are working with the dude who made the soundtrack for Dredd just a few days ago and are also working with rappers (Sleep Steady) and other experimental musicians (one girl whose name I forgot) to make a totally unique sound environment. >My sole reservation is that they somehow fuck up the story. I'm almost certain the main story will be underwhelming, just like in Witcher III, but I hope the side quests will be good enough to compensate.
I believe you'll only be forced to install the Kiroshi eye implant (for zooming and scanning enemies) and the subdermal grip (to see your ammo count), so you will be able to play a Togusa-like character.
I'll either play as 'me' as in early 20s guy with short hair, 5'o clock beard and average in every way as to immerse myself or 80s guy based on Kurt Russell / Kyle Reese from Terminator with some military aesthetic going through. So basically a little bit of punk (in hairstyle, earring, but no tattoos) mixed in with terrorwave clothes/aesthetic.
>lifepath
If based on me, the most similar life experiences I had. If not, either fist big kill or ex lover in town. >backstory Nomad. >class Solo on both. >playstyle Stealthy in first case, aggressive as fuck but a bit diplomatic when I think my character would sympathize (in my headcanon)
>band you'd like to see I would like to see industrial. Nine Inch Nails and some 50s song reimagined (like jazzish but with electronic shit ontop. a bit like Elvis section on the BR 2049 movie)
>main reason you are (not) hyped for this game
I'll be unique but still disappointing. I think that is all I feel so far.
just let go, you won't be able to discuss this game until hopefully the actual release, shitposting is up to eleven
Isaiah Price
I'm just shocked by the fact you have a troll thread about not being able to kill children in Cyberpunk that has over 300 replies while the thread dedicated to discussing the game in general is completely ignored.
Parker Martin
I'm personally waiting to see the new demo before talking more about it, I imagine it's going to be a more final look at the game than what E3 had.
Levi Butler
Guess you're right. Fuck Yea Forums tho, at least half of the currently active threads are complete trash.
Wyatt Thomas
They were really trying for the GTA aesthetic with these posters, but-- how, is beyond me-- they missed the mark. I was so pumped on this game, but with every new piece of media, my excitement turns to disappointment. They will always be Polish Rockstar to me.
Gavin Cruz
Yeah we most likely will not be able to discuss the game here ever. CDPR is too popular now.
Joseph Long
>game about early 21st century criminals looks similar to game about late 21st century criminals
>Are lifepaths even in the game still? Should be but I'm not sure if you're able to pick your childhood hero anymore, with Keanu being forced onto you.
Chase Howard
The game changed considerably after the first E3 Blowout. It's less of an RPG and more of a linear cinematic game. They removed RPG, and a lot of other synonyms, from their marketing copy after this year's E3. They also pushed cinematic experience a lot when asked about the RPG mechanics during interviews.
Jordan Adams
Their Steam and GOG pages tell a different story.
Nicholas Gomez
Yeah childhood heroes are confirmed out. But I think they removed paths too. I mean, they were kinda nonsensical anyway. As if they were placeholders. How the fuck would "ex-lover" even work? They'd just randomly generate a character? Or they'd write an entire new character for that path?
They said a lot of 40 minute demo from the last year got scrapped. They're yet to mention lifepaths in 2019 and they said "V lost everything before coming to Night City and is now just tagging along Jackie who dreams of hitting the big league" in the promotional text so they probably just replaced both the heroes and lifepaths with the 3 background choices.
Bentley Williams
>B-B-B-BUT THE STORES So? Doesn't change the fact that from their main marketing sites (twitter and their official site) they call the game "Action adventure" because "RPG" is a plague to normies.
Huh, I wasn't aware of that. Well, that's just stupid. Both Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect (to a lesser extent) let you define the background of your characters a little bit. If CDPR threw even that flavor background out, I imagine that quite a few people on the CDPR forums are going to tear them a new one. Not that they ever listened to anyone on the forums except some asslickers that eventually became mods.
Ryan Hernandez
>because "RPG" is a plague to normies Witcher III was advertised as an RPG and it still sold like hotcakes. The flashy graphics are what is selling the most copies and they have enough money to make it as flashy as possible.
Austin Gray
You're comparing a final installment of an already established and successful trilogy to a new IP.
Oliver Diaz
>You're comparing a final installment of an already established and successful trilogy to a new IP Yes I am because, as you've (or some other user) pointed out, they are advertising the game to normies. Witcher III was also advertised as such, going so far to emphasize the subtitle 'Wild Hunt' over the number 3 (which they stylized to look like Eredin's mask) in marketing specifically to not dissuade people from buying it. Calling a game an RPG is pretty popular right now - even God of War was taunted as an RPG by some media outlets.
Benjamin Cooper
Last bump before going to bed. Hope some sane Burgeranons will revive the thread.
Oliver Price
Paths were confirmed on this year's E3. Where the fuck did you hear they were removed?
Matthew Morgan
99% of people on this board don't even remember the 90s
Nicholas Moore
>Paths were confirmed on this year's E3 Source?
Josiah Evans
which one has a dick
Elijah Adams
What's the first thing you're doing in Night City?
