CSGO is a clusterfuck, the cash/buying "metagame" makes me irrationally angry and it being """secured""" by VAC means it isnt secure at all, which means im forced to use crypto mining software that i have to pay for in order to play on a service with real anti-cheat.

CoD is a pop-up gallery with absolutely no depth but its enjoyable, future or "modern" both were fine settings and had fine gameplay the issue was with what teams were developing it. Anything from Nu-IW or Sledgehammer always ends up being shit, Treyarch has always been alright.

Counter Strike was developed as the antithesis of the arena shooter. It was purposefully crafted to eliminate player skill largely from the equation for kids who couldn't handle Q3 or UT. No powerups, purchased weapons, RNG spread. The first couple COD were pretty good but as time went on strategy went out the window as well as skill again to make room for perks and other garbage filler.
There's just no great modern FPS at this time.

yh that's bs, i'm mg2 and i've never been this rank when i was young. i came back to cs in my 30s and exceeded my previous speeds. also, in your experienced age you take better calculated risks like pushing a side appropriately or playing different off angles every round. also you give less of a fuck so there's no nervous energy.
