>game requires like 6-8 hours to complete

I wish more games would be like call of duty and transistor. 5 hours of non stop fun and excitement with a well paced story, versus an artificially stretched out game to 100 hours where I am bored out of my mind for half of it.
Daniel Cook
Same but I think the optimal length is more like 15 to 20 hours.
Matthew Sullivan
WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE THREADS FUCK OFF
Sebastian Martinez
>Start new game
>Immediately get called or interrupted
Christopher Roberts
>playing game
>having lots of fun
>in my head im still thinking "when is this going to end"
i don't know why

The ideal length for games varies between genres.
The ideal lengths for each genre are:
>RPGs
20-30 hours (main story)
>FPS/TPS
6-10 hours
>Stealth
3-10 hours
>Action game
10-15 hours
>Horror
3-6 hours
Feel free to refute me.
Alexander Rogers
Seems right to me.
Michael Kelly
Yes this seems good.
Noah Smith
>game is relatively short
>final achievement requires tens of hours of grinding
Hudson Diaz
I literally deleted my steam/origins. And will probably sell most of my games. Convince me not to.
Ryan Gray
>game advertised as coop
>requires you to sink 30 minutes into some solo tutorial piece
Cool
Alexander Russell
I wish I could sell all 150 PS3 games and 50ish xbox 360 games but I'd probably get maybe like 100 bucks for them all so why bother
Ian Barnes
I just feel free from the vidya backlog I had.
Jeremiah Allen
desu i prefer longer games but everything except rpgs should be in 10-20h range
Leo Martinez
I deleted steam and other games yesterday. Hopefully, break will help.
Jordan Murphy
>start new game
>immediately alt-tab to Yea Forums
Brody Morales
I might need a break from here too. Genuinely feels freeing to say fuck my backlog.
Ethan Garcia
>game has achievements for playing 100+ hours or killing an unreasonably large amount of enemies
Josiah Nelson
bump
Austin Perez
Non-RPGs are rarely 20 hours unless you factor in getting stuck or lost.
Ethan Watson
>Cheap enough where I don't pick up games at launch if they are super short.
>Busy enough where long ass 50-80 hour long games are not as feasible as they used to be.
10-20 hours is the sweet spot for me. I wish I didn't work so much though...
