This. ROB is one of THE easiest characters to edgeguard. He’s like the character you fight against when you want to LEARN how to edgeguard. His recovery is so slow and runs out so fast that just hitting him once offstage while he’s recovering, at any %, is a death sentence to him. Especially since he only likes to actually grab the ledge like 10% of the time.

The thing with Oil Panic is that it's actually a pretty shit reflector. No damage multiplication and no momentum altering besides flipping horizontal momentum means that against a lot of projectiles it's more just a spacing tool to let him get in safer. Which is great to have, but it makes actually using it as a reflector a bit underwhelming.
But that's kind of the point, since the main goal of the move is an absorber. It's mere presence completely fucks with the mindset of some players of characters like Samus and Megaman.

I use dedede. I've gotten really good at fast fall floating and shorthop fast falls. Since you have an extra jump and generally more air mobility than Dedede, try just being a general loose-cannon and throw some strange jumps/fast falls into the mix when you approach. Your aerials help now too since the endlag has been reduced on all of them.

You need a hard read to land Skewer (either that or you're punishing some retard who's charging a Smash attack in neutral for no reason), and if you miss, it's a guaranteed punish. Hell, it can be a guaranteed punish even if you land the sourspot. Other characters like Pichu, Pikachu, Bayonetta, Joker, Ganondorf, Mario, and Luigi can get about as much or even more (a 0-death in Luigi's case) with not nearly as much commitment. Actually the more I think about it, the more Skewer kinda sucks. I'd much rather Ridley have actual damaging combos than Skewer, more kill confirms, or at least a confirm into Skewer.
