The strategic gameplay and tightly bonding with your comrades are what made Fire Emblem great in the first place.

The modern Fire Emblem focuses far too much on the latter, especially with the females, and too little on the former. When people call modern Fire Emblem a waifu simulator, it's not that far of an exaggeration. It's a bad thing because it shits on the legacy of the older games.

Bull. Conquest did the former better than most of the games in the series.

nothings bad about it. the gameplay is fundamentally the same, in fact it's more in depth BECAUSE of the bonds. you don't HAVE to develop a bond with an opposite sex NPC, it doesn't have to be a waifu simulator. you only make it that way if you want to.

I got to the desert about 3 months ago and haven’t gone back since. I got so fucking sick of that stupid music in tartare sauce too it’s like the same 4 note pattern over and over. I never beat P3P either though. Those games get kinda boring half way through and then you’re just finishing the story and playing Pokemon Trainer with the persona.

Last one I played was Revelations. Now I just get mad they are still being be made

After Dual Destinies I just couldn't go on, the humor and charm stopped making up for the fact that they reuse the same basic character/plot archetypes over and over and over. That being said I think the games are still overall good and I understand why fans stick with it.
