Why do people say this? Lots of games look worse than P5, P5 is a game where everything is hyper locked down to push the system as far as it can possibly go for the visual style, and the visuals are hyper handcrafted.

Pretty sure this is purely to blame on the devs and that otome artist who made the character designs. FE Warriors managed to have good looking character models and it's on the same system.

You can test it yourself by taking a screenshot with the screenshot button, then taking as good a picture as you can of the screen with your phone and compare the two.

Because the team is coming over from the 3DS and outside of screenshots no one will pay attention to terrain in battle animations and most people will turn them off anyways. It is a fault against the game but it's not anywhere near a deal-breaker.
