It'd be great if there was a game where you could have HRE as your playground. Imagine combining Guild series, Mount and Blade, EU4 to one package.
You'd start as Joe Average at some very local level and attempt to rise in power in a way you want it.
>start as meager band of mercenaries ready to hire for wars, become large and notable merc army only to then become largest marauding force in HRE overthrowing and killing rulers as you wish and forming your own empire from lands you took by force
>start as some Happy Merchant that little by little spreads all around forming local monopolies, killing of rival banking families, having kingdoms tied around your finger due to severe debt to you, cause famines and such by your hostile mercantile actions etc.
>become a advisor/diplomat in some local court where you indirectly empower your ruler, hire spies, assassins, diplomats etc. and cause such inbred family that puts Habsburgs to shame or terrorise the HRE by unexplained assassinations or corrupt everything and everyone
