Why are mice so expensive?

Why are mice so expensive?

Most mice worth anything are less than $60, just like controllers. I don't see a problem here.

Because you try to buy some epic pro gamer mouse that you will never take full advantage of.

Because gamers are fucking retards who love to overpay for shit. No mice is worth over $60. At that point you are buying a gimmick.

cause they're fast and sm0l & hard2catch...

Because mice are nice so you you gotta pay the price

All I want is essentailly a zowie fk2 with a scroll button that clicks left, right, and down.
A zowie fk2 is £50 which is a lot for a mouse

>logitech mice have great sensors and build quality but terrible designs and weight
>zowie mice have great designs and weight but questionable sensors and build quality
God fucking damn it I just want a driverless lightweight mouse that won't stutter or start doubleclicking after 7 months.

>but terrible designs
They have a lot of basic-ish designs, This mouse weighs less than 90g

I tried that one out but it's notably heavier than listed once you actually put the battery in, plus I'm not too fond of having to replace batteries to begin with. I also didn't care for the fact that the sides of it jut out like an egg for some reason since it makes the grip more uncomfortable, especially if you need to lift it. The sensor on the G305 was perfect but the FK2 is still the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, which is a shame because I had to give up on it after two of them broke on me over the course of three years.

SteelSeries Raw. It was like 45 dollars 4 years ago and it's still perfect.

Sounds like you're going to have to mod an fk2

Have you tried the Model O yet?

usually hand made, and have lots of QA since these things get a lot of millage customers expect them to last at least a few years

considering, i use my mouse more than any other product i own, so having the option to buy a luxury one is nice

G102/203

How hard is it to mod a mouse? If I could stop the LMB from doubleclicking and maybe replace the sensor it would be perfect.
Looked at it before but the only thing stopping me from just pulling the trigger is fear of dust getting into the pores on it and becoming a pain in the ass to clean.
Shape isn't completely perfect but it's looking like it might be my next purchase unless I can find something better. Thanks for the recommendation, user.

They aren't. You can get a good mouse for under $20.

Check out /r/mousereview for help on modding mice

You're looking at the wrong mice. Anything designed for "gamers" is immediately 4x the price. You can get a premium office mouse for around $20 and it'll come with a comparable sensor to an expensive gaming mouse but without the tacky design and high pricetag.

please post examples

>still using my 20 dollar xornet from 2013

just get a non shit mouse

Have a CM Reaper, right button is going, snipe button is going, scroll wheel only scrolls now

i just replaced my doubleclicking switch on the g102. not hard with super basic soldering knowledge

For me, it's Steelseries Rival 500. The best MMO gaming mouse.

>scroll wheen only scrolls now
