Is it too late to start buying physical games? I've always wanted some.

Sorry, user... you're too late.
Naw, You can probably catch a second wave when the current collectors get tired of collecting. It's bound to happen eventually; Right now is the absolute worst time to buy anything not in print currently tho.
>XBOX
>GAME BOY
>all just PS2 games
Not really some companies even make a bank on selling physical copies of games that were originally digital only, mostly indie shit.
What do you mean get tired of collecting doesnt it just sit there?
They'll get older and realize its pointless to hang onto all of that shit. Unless they're megacollectors who could open a museum or something, what is the point? I doubt a lot of those games will ever reach their full retail price again.
I was looking at PS2 and a lot of them go for $100. Which isnt what they retailed for. Which I thought was a lot at first then I realized I've paid $100 for digital games I cant even hold so it's not that bad of a deal. I wouldn't pay any more though. You think they will go back down?
I do, I used to own a pretty big collection; but after a while I just kind of got tired of it and really parsed it down to the things I would actually use. It was just junk that took up a lot of space to me at that point. It was neat to look at, but I never used the majority of it.
PS2 games on average shouldn't even be close to that price though, where are you looking?
>Is it too late to start buying physical games?
It's never too late. You can literally buy a bigger PS3 collection than what I have for 1/100th of the price I paid to get it.
I only plan to buy and play games I actually liked. I was looking on pricecharting which I just found out about. I heard those are current going for prices.
PS3 games need patches though. I'm only interested in games I can keep. Everything PS3 I want I "own**" digitally.
Facts. Most Playstation and Xbox shit is worthless.
really depends on what you're looking for if it's stuff like pc engine go fuck yourself also the train has left the station for gamecube and snes. you can buy whatever you want otherwise mostly
Depends on whether or not limited print indie games matter to you or not.
If not, then you've got nothing to worry about.
If so, then you're fucked royally as everything will cost triple of what you normally would've paid.
Metal Jesus here. It's never too late to start a game collection. In fact, now is the perfect time to start collecting for the previous generation. Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii can all be had for cheap. Even with the PS2 and Original Xbox there are great deals to be had.
I use to work at Sierra
I see better prices on the Gamecube games I want than the PS2 games I want.
No? Why would it? Just like, buy them.
What PS2 games could you possibly want?! Xbox and GCN games have more value than PS2 games because PS2 was mass produced, many of the games have been re-released on other consoles (multiple times in some cases). There is nothing special about the PS2 and nothing distinctly or uniquely PS2 which stands out. Even niche titles like Yakuza have been reissued recently on physical discs for the autists who care about that kind of thing. The few unique exclusives like most of the DDRs are worthless
there are a SHITLOAD of excellent ps2 exclusives senpai. and re-releases are rarely as good. they always fuck with something they shouldn't, or music is removed
Echo Night Beyond, Blood Will Tell, Rule of Rose (I liked it, regret selling for $125 back in 09), Haunting Ground off the top of my head. My list is at home.
